Hi Product Hunt πŸ‘‹ Thanks for hunting us @thisiskp_ I’m Ece, one of the co-founders of Scrintal. Today, I am beyond excited to share Scrintal’s new experience, Playground for the Mind! It’s the visual space to shape your ideas one block at a time. This way, going from ideas to insights is fun and easy. Our product thesis is that we understand the world best when we can ideate, break down our information, and finally structure it in the way we want. It should all be done without switching the context. While current visual tools give us the space to think freely, they don’t help us build our knowledge library. On the other hand, while text editors are great for writing, they don’t help us think. Since January 2024, we’ve been working on a new canvas experience to build the most enjoyable way to shape ideas in beta. While we’re still early, we’re excited to open it up today and wanted the PH community to be among the first to try. Only for the users who join today, we offer a 7-day free trial. Here’s what you can expect from Scrintal: πŸƒ It gives you freedom: You can place any multimedia, PDF, and file and start thinking freely using the blocks. Choosing a template to kickstart is also an option! 🧱 It lets you structure: Move blocks like legos to create docs with a click. We have a global library that lets you reuse your docs across boards. 🀝 It’s collaborative: You can share docs or boards with a team member or a friend and start working together in real-time. ⚑ It works on all browsers, offline and online: You can use Scrintal on every browser, including your mobile and tablet. Alternatively, you can download the Mac and Windows apps. 🧠 And many more things: You should try many other features, including the Links to create bidirectional links between docs and boards, Boards and Tags to organize your work, and Templates to get started right away. Feel free to join our live launch party https://lu.ma/fk4xe4npto to see Scrintal in action, meet the team and explore different use cases. As first-time founders, launching on Product Hunt is a dream come true. I sincerely thank our amazing team @furkan3ayraktar @philipptemmel_ @flightcubs @mathias_bjork @bengisu_bayraktar @daia_moyano @ersin_sezgin1 πŸ™ We look forward to your feedback and sincerely appreciate your support!

@hamza_afzal_butt You are absolutely right and integrations are one of the top topics we want to explore in the coming months. Until now, we focused on the user experience, our foundational wiki-style graph database, and text editing capabilities. We didn't want to jump on the features but instead find the correct use cases, talk to a lot of users, and start building after that.

@thisiskp_ @furkan3ayraktar @philipptemmel_ @flightcubs @mathias_bjork @bengisu_bayraktar @daia_moyano @ersin_sezgin1 @ece_kural Pretty impressed with the showreel and UX. Great job team. It will be cool if you allow users to import notes from other apps such as Evernote. Also, how do you differentiate from other brainstorming apps which already have several integrations such as MIRO?
Daiana Moyano
@jrathore Thanks so much for the feedback! We're glad you liked the showreel and UX! 😊 @furkan3ayraktar might be able to talk more about integration with other tools, but I can tell that currently you can import into Scrintal .md files. Quite handy to get started with notes you already have. As for differentiation, Scrintal focuses on seamlessly combining visual brainstorming with structured note-taking, offering a more flexible, free-form canvas to organize instant ideas as well as permanent complex insights. It’s designed to bridge the gap between textual and visual note-taking, with deeper focus on workflow freedom.

Hey PH fam πŸ‘‹ I'm super excited to bring Scrintal to the wider tech & startup community around the world! If you're a visual thinker, creative person or a knowledge worker like the 90,000+ people on the early waitlist, you're in for a treat today. Problem: Trying to make sense of complex ideas and information is getting increasingly super chaotic and overwhelming. With so many productivity tools out there, switching between them just adds to the confusion. That’s why the Scrintal team built an easy-to-use digital canvas that helps you visually organize your thoughts and ideas in a structured way. Scrintal lets you do free thinking on an endless canvas without worrying about the final structure. Which can do wonders for your productivity. Why? Because studies show that the human brain processes visual information 60,000 times faster than text.   Who is Scrintal great for? Perfect for researchers, students, engineers, executives, solopreneurs, and anyone with big ideas who needs to put them into the right buckets. You can zoom in and out, connect topics, nest boards, and create a clear visual roadmap of your thoughts.  Here are some cool features: β†’ Think Freely Organize your ideas on a flexible, open canvas. Zoom in and out as needed. β†’ Structure Nest boards, link topics, and create long documents, restructuring them as you go. β†’ Share Collaborate in real-time and share your findings easily with others. β†’ Everything in One Place Organize, link, and share insights without switching between apps. Recently, I had the chance to try out Scrintal (and get to meet @ece_kural and the founding team) and I was blown away by how seamless the whole design and UX was. It has the potential to be one of the major players in the creative/visual notetaking markets. Big kudos to the Scrintal team who poured their hearts into making this delightful tool for you Check it out and feel free to drop any questions or feedback below ⬇️

Nice video to accompany this launch. I love the idea and the "playground for the mind" motto sounds pretty inspiring. Reminded me of FigJam, but I think it goes beyond with this focus on idea generation and organization. Excited to see how this develops!
Furkan Bayraktar
@vibor_cipan Thank you! The other visual tools (since you mentioned FigJam) leaves you there after the brainstorming and ideation. In Scrintal, you can bring any information you may have, whether it being text, images, or files. Then, you can break them apart by simply dragging and dropping. From there, you can start creating fully-fetched documents out of your ideas and snippets. Furthermore, all this stays in a one single library where you can reference or reuse all your ideas, notes and insights.

@furkan3ayraktar Exactly, doesn't feel like a one-off experience.

@vibor_cipan @furkan3ayraktar so in a nutshell it's brainstorming sh*tshow as all brainstorming starts out with all the ideas all over the place. To a polished, and workable brainstormed idea doc - ready for next steps. the idea cluster storm in my mind loves that!
