Why build it 🤔
Every year, hundreds of new words and phrases appear. Some of them are abbreviations, like LOL, YOLO .etc. Others are words that have been stretched into more parts of speech than initially intended.
They come from games, blogs, social media, or other channels. In teams, these kinds of words are even more common. It could be a project name, a team name, or an activity name.
These words appear every day, and few guys will tell you what that means since they think you should know it already. And it's a little embarrassing to ask them what those words mean. Especially for new employees, there are lots of such cases in their first month.
We aim to fix this.😎
How Flappypedia works? 🧐
1️⃣ Add cards in the console
Record new words/slang/abbr on the console. The recording flow is simple, like writing a "light wiki".
You can also import the pre-packaged glossaries we have collected from various industries if you like.
You can also join our space directly to share our glossaries. We will keep recording.
2️⃣ Let the knowledge flow and find you
Once a word is recorded in space, each time the space members encounter these words, it will be underlined. And when users hover over it, a card with details will appear just nearby.
