This product is the only one that doesn't freaking crash.
Skype sucks.
Google Hangouts Sucks. It sucks so much that someone made a domain name called http://hangoutnow.com that simply points to the google hangout. A total fail in accessibility and ease of use.
Zoom is freaking amazing. Distributed teams of 20+ and it has high fidelity connections and speed. I'd recommend this to anyone in the fast paced high cost manufacturing space where every second means $25-$100
Have been investigating and like what I see so far. If only it had a payment option to charge for webinars I'd be in seventh heaven. Maybe able to fix something up with eventbrite. App sharing from mobile devices via airplay is very cool.
Been using Zoom in a past life, probably one of the best tools out there for 1:1s. Not sure for webinars though :p Strong bias obviously.
We're a webinar software ourselves, and we believe in the full browser experience (shameless plug: https://livestorm.co), curious about Zoom position about WebRTC and the in-browsers webinars.
We have a distributed team, and we use zoom all day every day to stay connected and quickly jump into conversations when needed. It is really easy to connect on mobile and desktop.
I use Zoom at any business scene. The first time, that's code mentor session, that's so amazing because I can share my screen and control all of the stuff in my display.
And record easy, Zoom will be your business partner if you were a global player.
Feature Suggestion:
I would love to see a trello.com integration into your cloud video conferencing technology to boost productivity!
I hope this helps!
Best,
JB.
I'm curious about this, does it work when you plug into a TV via a HDMI cable? That's the #1 pain point for us, the sound and mic get all screwed up when we use hangouts and project on a TV. The sound comes through the TV but the mic may not work, sometimes the opposite. It's to the point where we use hangouts for screensharing and a dial in for voice. Yes we've tried adjusting the settings for the hangout as well as the sound settings on the mac and it still has issues.
I've been using Zoom for over 4 years now, and have converted dozens of companies to it. Founded and built by Eric Yuan (the dude who built WebEx), the platform was designed to be everything WebEx isn't; fast, light and instantaneous. Highly recommended.
Two facts regarding Zoom:
Usefull for conferences and webinars (thanks WHO for showing this part)
Messy for classroom control
From where i came, a douchebad youtuber uses privately shared Zoom access to joke around classes being given to kids and this is just a proof of Zoom Incompetence regarding covid 19 quarantine school classes.
For the record check the name Redlive13 and even in your languages you will understand this needs to be better secured
Zoom is a must-have product for us and our users at Reclaim.ai.
So much that we built a Zoom integration that auto-syncs your Slack status to "in a meeting" or Do Not Disturb when you enter/leave a Zoom call: https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Zoom has been a life saver in our remote team.
Easy to use, quick to share with team members and customers, definitely one of the best options available.
Tried them all. Cursed at the all. This is the best. Hand down. Their Codecs (nerd talk for how good the video/voice is), are sensational. I often hold 2 hr video calls over 4G while driving to Palo Alto (professional driver, do not attempt at home) . Go get it.
I can't say enough good things about Zoom. It's like getting a glass of cool water when you're stranded in the desert. One feature idea though... use the camera to record who keeps messing with the cables between meetings...
