I have no idea how they're making money with that subscription model - but I'm going to jump on it before they change their minds haha ๐Ÿ˜‚

@erickbarron86 Yes, we make money with this pricing. As a private company with zero investors (and 5000 employees), we have to be making money to be doing something like this. Most tech companies make users believe that business software has some kind of magic in it and is expensive to create and hence users have to pay high prices. In reality, you are paying for their massive sales teams, large offices in expensive downtowns, overpriced acquisitions, technology debt etc. If you cut all this bloat, you can create affordable software like this. In our industry, we have seen several companies build good products with bad economics. At Zoho, we are building good products with good economics. That explains the model in a nutshell.

@erickbarron86 @rajuv ... As a solopreneur, this is a no-brainer. Half of the products in the suite are worth $30 p/m each. Best value I've seen. Planning to center around Zoho One... and already turned a friend on to it as well.

Imagine if there was a single company that offered all the software needed to run a business. Similar to how cable providers aggregate all their channels and offer them as a single bundle--but for business software. That's Zoho One. Over the last decade or so, Zoho has built over 35 apps, all well-integrated and on the same platform. Now, they're offering all their apps (including mobile apps and some other extras) for a monthly price of $30/employee. Crazy! All applications are fully-featured, enterprise editions, giving you everything you need to grow sales, market your business, do your accounting, communicate with teammates and customers, and much more.

@kwdinc It is incredibly beneficial for users when software is bundled. We do the same at https://mockflow.com with our UX suite and it makes workflow between different apps easier. I was expecting this from Zoho for a long time - 1 suite = 1 subscription

@kwdinc Appreciate the hunt. It took us several years to get here, but we are very excited to be here. Building this operating system took quite some effort. We had to build a directory system underneath that powers Zoho One and change every Zoho app to adhere to this directory system and then build management, provisioning and more on top of it. This is not just a product introduction. It is a concept introduction. A concept where we are saying you can run an entire business on one operating system. This we believe is the future of business software.

Two Question @rajuv - 1. When will Zoho Doc( Slide, Spreadsheet and Downloadable File management ) strike Msft office. For last decade Zoho keeps letting us down in this segment. I have read an article around a decade back and it wrote about the potential of Zoho docs and tagged it as the biggest challenge to Msft office. Almost a decade has passed and if the article is rewritten, Sadly story will be same. Zoho can use its taskz and scanner app to let user give it a try or may be some different strategies. But before that doc sync, spreadsheet. slide and taskz must be revamped. 2. Team communication is ubiquitous and many companies use it as much as they are in front of their system. A large number of them prefer desktop application rather than the web. New Zoho connect UI is good and its concept is awesome but the lack of desktop application is big let down. Also, Zoho is almost silent on Zoho connect. I see it nowhere in media. I think they should advertise it......Thanks

@mohan_kumar Zoho Connect is a hidden gem! Great for businesses of all sizes.

@mohan_kumar @joan Thank you for these kind words. Means a lot to us.
Jagannath Chandramouli
@mohan_kumar Thank you for the appreciation. Desktop app and revamped version of iOS and Android apps are on it's way. We are testing it internally. Should be live in couple of weeks. We recently opened out the new version of Zoho Connect. We were hunted here too ;). We also did a press release. Given the number of apps in Zoho, it's hard for a single app to get all the attention. We are coming up with different bundles in Zoho. Connect is part of the Workplace bundle. Within these bundles, the goal is to create visibility for the individual apps. We have a good roadmap for Connect. You will keep hearing about us.

@boetter They're both white with a bunch of text and that's pretty much where the resemblance ends.

How does it differ from G suite?
Rico Trevisan
@dhiraj_bajaj1 at GIGAfy.com.br we are using a couple of the apps: Zoho Mail and Desk (looking into as adding Subscriptions and Workflows). The competition is not so much GSuite, but GSuite + Typeform + Zapier + Intercom / Drift + FrontApp, etc.. We went for it because it was free to start, but we are very happy with it. Specially love Mail and the way you can have conversations around an email without forwarding, etc.. I'm sure all of this can be done with GSuite + apps but we grew to like Zoho's take.
Dhiraj Bajaj
@ricotrevisan Oops! didnt dig much about value prop, as its not very clear here. Clearly this is a wholesale pricing for G-suite + many apps together.
Varatharaj R
@dhiraj_bajaj1 G Suite has limited business apps compare to Zoho. Zoho has a lot of business apps like Sales & Marketing, Business Process, Finance, IT & Help desk, Human resources apps etc and also bundles like CRM Plus, Finance plus, Workplace. https://goo.gl/ay8jks In G Suite you will get only limited products (Calendar, Contacts, Drive, Mail, Hangout, Groups, Keep, Sites, Google+) P.S - Zoho apps are also tightly integrated with G Suite. https://goo.gl/EbRQLP

Why Zoho products have so bad icons? Many of them look a decade old.... Crm, sites, Servicedesk plus....... Even many of the updated icons are still being used in their website.
pdl-geek
@mohan_kumar That's right I always wondered, infact their other product manageengine.com is well designed
Lee Fuhr
@mohan_kumar Yeahโ€ฆ the whole design has felt wicked old the few times over the years I've thought about moving us into Zoho. And that matters.
Ramon
@cozysd Surprisingly zoho new UI standard is awesome. Just check New Zoho Project UI. It's just awesome. But icon...

really surprised this didn't get more traction than 550 upvotes in a week. This suite is wicked killer scary good for the price. It's such a no-brainer for so many small businesses, I'm looking for an affiliate program. WOW.

i use zoho mail daily its great!! thanks guys!
Brian Jagger
Thanks @kwdinc and @rajuv just got back from our corp retreat where we reviewed this and have decided to test, it's been three days and I'M LOVING IT! Once we integrate all the features, which honestly will take some time, we feel this will replace things we pay almost $350 a month for, saving us over $200 to start, more as we grow. Thanks!!!
Abhilash Jain
This is crazy, 30$ for everything. Zoho One really sets the standard for business software, this is a mean feat and it is just what you need for your business. Great work team Zoho.
Siddharth
Zoho is seriously one of the best products I have used, albeit only for personal use. Won't think twice recommending it for Enterprise.
Nitin Muthyala
Whats wrong with your design team guys? look at all the icons.. it looks like they are taken from Chinese iPhone clones.. And the "ZOHO" logo.. I first thought it was a child care center or a kindergarten :/ You guys have great products though :D
Jim Canto
@nitin_muthyala I've always appreciated the logo message, "building blocks" "easy to use" ... and Zoho One appears to exemplify the message.

I have been using Zoho One subscriber since April last year. I am amazed by the value I received from the subscription fee i pay. The value keeps on coming, because each time Zoho releases an app, it gets added to the package for me to use.

Definitely worth it. Many thanks Zoho ! It s a game changer

Pros:

Full integrated suite of business app, great value for money, great support

Cons:

None so far

Jim Canto

I've watched Zoho evolve over the last decade. I've always liked their products (used some regularly) and their company culture, however I was never able to justify the collective expense of the tools I needed/wanted to use. I'm a bootstrapped, low-code/no-code solopreneur with a full-time W2 job (outside of digital.) I have very limited budget. But when Zoho bundled it allllllll together for one super-low monthly fee... I committed.

Considering they've been on this path for nearly 20 years, I also trust they will not be leaving us anytime soon. THAT's comforting.

Pros:

Most horsepower for least expense for Solopreneurs and Micropreneurs

Cons:

Feature redundancy due to stand-alone nature of each tool

Most of the key functionality of the branded products you know and love but at a fraction of the cost.
