I remember the first version, it seems that you have changed a lot design-wise, looks great and artsy. Good luck on your launch!
Andrew Luisi
@milkers thanks, Mustafa! Looking forward to having you on the new version as well! See you on Wonder 2.0!
Leonard Witteler
@milkers thank you for the kind words. We indeed have a total new presentation both on the website and inside the platform. We will be showcasing it shortly here: https://www.eventbrite.com/myeve...

This is an awesome product! In this difficult time, it really gives an idea of keeping up together, still gathering, and exchanging thoughts and opinions, in lil communities, by building new great connections with great humans! Super idea, congrats for the launch! ^_^
Leonard Witteler
Thank you so much! We are more than happy to hear that Wonder has helped people come together in these difficult times. We hope it continues to do the same. Thanks again!

I liked the colors and the freedom feeling that product provides. Is it possible to create space and integrate to WordPress or HTML?
Michael Paul
@mettafix Hey Mert! thanks for checking us out! We can indeed be iframed! We a complete guide on the matter here: https://help.wonder.me/en/articl... first step would be creating a room at wonder.me
Andrew Luisi
@mettafix hey Mert, we definitely wanted to give this feeling of freedom, not just with what we are as a product, but also through the colors! 🌈 You can absolutely open up a Space right now! Just head to our website, wonder.me, and you'll get a Space in approximately 12 seconds. 🏎 And iFrame-ing us is definitely a good option: https://help.wonder.me/en/articl...
Leonard Witteler
@mettafix @andrew_luisi thanks for the kind words!

The virtual office space is fascinating! Excited to see how Wonder will find its place given some competitors are doing relatively different things. Congrats!
Leonard Witteler
@alexandracote We've always wanted to stand out among our competitors and with your support, and that of millions of other users, we hope to find a place. Glad you loved Wonder!
Venkatesh Balasubramanian
@leonard_witteler1 Best Wishes !!! HAve been using Wonder for the last few months and I would say it is refreshingly new way of conducting and attending virtual meetings. Infact my team feels that it very closes mimics how we behave in physical meetings and conferences.
Leonard Witteler
@venkyb thank you SO much! I'm sharing all these words with the team! This is exactly what we are aiming for! Thank you for your support!
Venkatesh Balasubramanian
@leonard_witteler1 Thank you. You and your team deserve this and more. I still remember each and every minute of the passionate demo your team gave me during my onboarding.
Andrew Luisi
@leonard_witteler1 @venkyb I heard the person giving the demos is a very charming individual, indeed (if it was me πŸ˜„). @michael_loves_wonder is also pretty charming, in fact. πŸ˜ƒ @venkyb I couldn't resist the little jokes here πŸ™ˆ
Venkatesh Balasubramanian
@leonard_witteler1 @michael_loves_wonder @andrew_luisi It is you Andrew. You are definitely charming, but it was the product which caught all the attention.
Andrew Luisi
@leonard_witteler1 @michael_loves_wonder @venkyb hahah very diplomatic answer! :D
Leonard Witteler
Thanks to @chrismessina for the hunt! Hi everyone! This is Stephane, Leo and Pascal from Wonder! We're very excited 🀩 and a little nervous 😱 to be back - we hope you find this interesting and are looking forward to hearing your thoughts πŸ™ In April 2020 our previous startup got crushed by the first lockdown πŸ₯² We thought about what the world needs and were super intrigued by the fact that you can't meet in groups online πŸ€”. Something that makes getting together in groups special just doesn't work virtually πŸ˜’ It's one of the biggest problems of the digital age and solving it would add a big puzzle piece to creating real connections between humans through the internet πŸš€ ❀️ So we hacked together a prototype for a browser-based spatial chat app πŸ€“ πŸ› οΈ and started to phone event planners, asking them if they wanted to use it. In under a year, we grew to 750k MAU, purely by word of mouth, raised funding and grew into a little company 🀯 πŸ€ͺ We're super proud to launch our second iteration of the product. We completely reworked the core experience - it's faster ⚑smoother 😎 crisper 🍎 supports up to 500 participants 🌍 has a re-worked UX πŸ›Ό and went through a rebrand πŸ’«. We're very excited about what comes next, but before that, here's a bit of context: **What is Wonder** Wonder is a virtual space for groups to get together in a way that feels natural and energising πŸ€—πŸ₯³. In essence, we care about creating moments of connection, when you experience something together and meet new people ❀️‍πŸ”₯ So Wonder isn't meant as a virtual space that people spend all day in (e.g. an office) πŸ‘”. It's designed for gatherings with a fixed start and end date, and a purpose πŸŽ‡. We think that's what the world needs right now - a space to build and maintain real human connections πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘. Some features that describe the product: - Browser-based spatial chat - Up to 500 people in each space (room expands automatically) - Customise background - Broadcast to speak to everyone at the same time - Areas to add structure to your event - Free and no signup **Who uses Wonder** Many of our early adopters are event professionals (who sit in different types of orgs) πŸ•΄οΈπŸ•΄οΈ but part of the vision is that it's so easy to set up the venue that anyone can be a host πŸ‘Ά We want to empower as many people as possible to get people together and watch the magic happen πŸ’ͺ! **How we think about the future** Spatial chat apps have received a lot of attention, so for those of you who are interested, here is how we think about it: **It's not about the 2D space** - the power of spatial chat apps lies in the social dynamics that the interaction principle unlocks. So our focus is not on making the spaces more immersive or complex, but *facilitating interaction between participants* πŸ’β€β™€οΈ πŸ’« πŸ™‹. Right now, connecting online feels awkward - it should be a breeze! **Connections are made 'in-between'** - we're *creating opportunities for serendipity* πŸ˜πŸ€πŸ€―. Wonder spaces support 500 participants and we're building space areas where you can host different sub-events simultaneously. People experience what's going on elsewhere and spontaneously move around if something looks exciting **Power to the people** - great events are made by the guests. Imagine Woodstock without the audience. That's impossible if you're muted, in a grid. We *help guest shape gatherings* πŸ˜„πŸ—―οΈ 🎀 πŸ˜„and let them feel each other's presence in the space. **Don't talk about the weather** - People find it incredibly difficult to start meaningful conversations online. Like a good host who introduces guests to each other, Wonder *helps surfacing commonalities between users* πŸ§‘β€πŸš€ β‰οΈπŸ§‘β€πŸš€. We use icebreaker questions that hosts can set for guests, so they have something to talk about. We're also working on statuses that are searchable in the participant list, so that guests can find people interested in similar things and have meaningful conversations with them. We'd love to hear from you (1) what activities/features/ideas/products you've seen that made virtual meetings connecting/energising/exciting (2) what tires you most about meeting virtually (3) general feedback on the product, of course! πŸ™‚
Levi Gleb Raskin
@chrismessina @leonard_witteler1 how do you think, is it will be useful for fun or for jub like online office too?
Leonard Witteler
@chrismessina @_1_ras Brevity was never my strongest suit :D As we were catapulted into the new way of online living over the last few years we here at Wonder were constantly evaluating the role of meeting in large groups and the impact is has on our life. This is where we build connections and community. Meeting in large groups, a staple of our lives, went missing and we wanted to solve it. We built a platform that empowers people with the space and tools to make gatherings in a meaningful way. So when people ask "what can Wonder do?" my answer is usually "yes!". If your goal is connect to someone in the context of work or play, we can help! For example, we use our Wonder Space for all daily operations for the team. Our digital office has space for meetings, interview candidates, focus work, and is open 24/7 so people can come and go as they please. We've hosted no shortage of speed dating, conferences, job fairs, pub quiz, birthday parties, cooking classes, and sports classes but the real magic of the Space comes from our ability to make communication feel natural. We make room for serendipity. You can shape the event however you like. You can create spaces that have encourage commonalities among the participants so you can chat easily. @_1_ras in summary: I think it's useful anywhere you want communication to happen :D what do you think?
Andrew Luisi
@chrismessina @leonard_witteler1 @bochkovaleks thanks, Aleks! I'll take the credit here :p

Thanks for the support! I love hearing about Wonder being used in multiple contexts. We do indeed work on our "office" all day but there are so many more ways to use it. As Andrew mentioned, tablet and mobile support are a huge priority for us so expect news soon.
Philotech
@leonard_witteler1 Yeah, I am in dire need for tablet / mobile phone support! In non-business environments, there are just so many people who do no longer have a computer or have to share it so can't use it for online wonder.me meetings all the time...
Adam Wallat
Just gave Wonder 2.0 another try. Love the re-design and the new features you have introduced. The visual style on the landing page is very unique. A few transitions were a bit slow and my Intel Macbook pro was faning heavily. Audio broke here and there (with stable internet connection) It would be a great to provide options to make transitions between different conversations instant and not morph them into each other always. As this created unnecessary lag in my experience. Very stocked for the next workshop that we will run in Wonder. 🀩
Andrew Luisi
@adamwallat Super stocked for your next workshop as well, Adam! It terms of some of the difficulties, we've given full attention in Wonder 2.0 to the performance: improved quality, audio, video, stability, everything! Also, thanks for the feedback; we love it! πŸ₯³πŸ™
Leonard Witteler
@adamwallat Thank you for the feedback! As Andrew mentioned the focus on stability (and CPU😜) were the main focus of ours for month. If you're getting break ups can you send us a message at support (at) wonder.me with the details of your browser and machine? we can take a look!
Nadezhda Gerasimova
Wow! Such a cool thing. And a good competitor for SpatialChat and things alike. But it looks like yours is 100 times better. looks like something very natural and in harmony. Great work. And I liked a community page on your website
Leonard Witteler
@new_user_605ed31394 Thank you! Yeah, we do try to stand out amongst our competitors. Great to hear that we've been successful.
Michael Paul

What makes Wonder so fantastic is that it transforms the way that we standardly experience virtual events. The team has truly created an open space that not only encourages people to actively participate, but to gather together in an exciting new way. I love that wonder-ful community focuses on the way that we can uplift one another and how we can expand upon our own inner circles. It’s an all in one "everything-I-could-have-hoped-for-and-needed-but-couldn’t-find-until-now." As a consumer, the product feelings incredibly personal and intimate in development. There is a lot of verbiage and product creation that feels very structured with creating and nurturing relationships with users. I can feel that the team has created a product that is entirely user centric- and frankly? I can’t wait to see what is ahead. It’s a platform that has the opportunity to create incredible experiences and energize users in an incredibly powerful way, and will only grow to do so much more. You'll no longer have to worry about experiencing the dreaded Zoom fatigue. Enterprises, small businesses, conferences, office parties, reunions- the benefits of using Wonder are endless. What are you waiting for? I highly recommend checking out the Wonder space. πŸ›ΈπŸ’«
Andrew Luisi
@hannah_dean1 @hannah_dean1 your words are truly magical! This is exactly what we are here do: create the most amazing social gatherings in the virtual world πŸ’š we truly do care about the dynamics of relationship building and want you all to leave a Space feeling reinvigorated and excited! Thanks again for these (wonderful (never gets old πŸ˜‰) words)! πŸ˜ƒ
Leonard Witteler
@hannah_dean1 Wow Hannah you are breaking my heart over here! Thank you for taking the time to write all this out. Sharing your comments with the rest of our team! The point about connections resonates so strongly with me and motivates us all to continue the work. thank you!
Pascal Steck
Super pumped for this launch and excited to see what everyone thinks! Really happy to also invite you all to come have a chat with me and my team to talk about the future of virtual experiences. You can snatch an invite here: bit.ly/3FMThBO
Andrew Luisi
@pascteck This is sure to be an absolutely amazing event! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Martin Eriksson
Wonder is a fantastic product for all those gatherings where it's more about people connecting than a broadcast. So excited to see this evolution and to keep using the product!
Andrew Luisi
@bfgmartin very well said! that's what we're all about: creating connection and inspiring imagination! Happy to have you on board πŸ’«
Laura Keresztyen
Have you ever been in a video call that felt energizing and fun? Was it dynamic? energizing? Using Wonder for more than a year now on a daily basis, I can recommend using this tool to create contagious excitement and engagement at your next group meeting! Don't let the usual static video grid create passive attendance! ⚑️Inject energy into the online gatherings ⚑️
Michael Paul
@laura_wonder couldn't have said it better!
Leonard Witteler
@laura_wonder @michael_loves_wonder haha what Michael said!! Love the reaction!
Leonard Witteler
Really enjoying the conversations happening in our live space! Thanks @chrismessina for spreading the good word!
Alistair Croll
I've spent the last two years taking some big conferences virtual. Wonder has been a key part of that, letting speakers and participants network post-presentations (which also makes the speakers feel WAY less isolated.) I love the team, their careful growth, and their approach. They've resolved one of the key issues of online eventsβ€”having everyone's videos on while having hundreds of participantsβ€”in a creative way that opens up a ton of new possible experiences. Highly recommended if you're sick of staring at rectangles all day!
Leonard Witteler
@acroll If only you could see my blushing cheeks! Thank you so much for the kind words! Freedom to move and choose shouldn't be reserved for an in person event, they help us form connections and memories even when conducted online.I'm so happy to hear you've had some luck with the platform and saved yourself from the dreaded rectangle brain! Thanks again!
Andrew Luisi
@acroll @leonard_witteler1 Alistair, I'm blushing so much as well! ☺️ (<- this is supposed to be the blushing emoji!). this is why we do what we do πŸ˜ƒ thank you so much for this πŸ’«
Andrew Pettey
Wow, the response has been overwhelming! We are so excited about the feedback so far so please keep it coming!
Trian Xylouris
I have taken part in a few Wonder sessions and they are definitely more fun and engaging than other video meetings I have had. Looking forward to seeing the product continue to improve!
Leonard Witteler
@trianx We feel lucky to have such enthusiastic users! Hang in with us and we'll sure bring out more features for you. :)
