Happy Thursday everyone!👋 I am Sergej, the founder of Woice, and I am super excited to share that Woice is finally live for public early access!
The world is becoming smaller by the minute, and working in an international team has become a norm rather than an exception. Communication through 3 different time zones made us feel like the work day never ends, and our new life is sitting in Zoom meetings and waiting to be nudged by someone in an instant messaging app.
Sick and tired of always being disturbed by chat notifications and neverending zoom meeting we decided to do something about it and build a better communication tool. One that would allow us to get rid of our keyboards when communicating and focus on work when we need to. A tool that would help us be more efficient when comunicating and more productive when working. A tool that would help us communicate with warmth and emotion instead of bland written words.
Woice helps you work on your own time and focus on your work. Not needing to respond instantly, you have time to brainstorm at your own pace and get back with more organized and structured feedback. With the support of 23 languages, we enable co-workers across the globe to bring warmth and emotion to conversations. Asynchronous voice messaging is my absolute favorite. I use it now on WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, and FB Messenger. I wonder how easy it will be convince people to use yet another messaging platform. I like how this transcribes everything and allows for searching -- that's not something any of the others do! I wonder if a person might use this as their own personal journalling app, recording journal entries, which then become searchable...I might try that myself.
UPDATE: That's a no-go in the present form. I created a community, but without other members I can't post audio. After recording it asks me to search for someone to send the message to. Without a recipient, the message disappears.
Also, side note: typo in the signin process. On the "Magic link sent" screen, it says, "Will expired in: ...." Should be "Will expire in:..."
@dfoster Is it a community if there is only 1 member? Woice communities are intended to be used by multiple people. We are thinking about implementing a "send to yourself" option though. :D Thanks for the feedback!
