Transform any webpage into a collaborative space. Instantly add contextual comments, tag teammates, and share insights. Inspired by Google Docs, but for the entire web.
Excited to launch this.
Whatfix Comments transforms any webpage into a collaborative space.
It enables you to instantly add comments on any page and tag your colleagues and friends. Whoever you tag is notified of the comment, and the page URL and an annotated screenshot of the page is also shared with them.
Thank you @kevin for the introduction. 🙌
Hi ProductHunt Community, excited to be here. 🎉
If you have ever used Google Docs or Microsoft Word, you must be familiar with their powerful collaboration experience. 📄✍️ You can highlight specific parts of the page, add comments for yourself or tag someone, and collaborate in real-time.🔄
What if you could do that anywhere on the web? 🌍 That's how the journey of Whatfix Comments started. 💡
Comments brings collaboration to any webpage or web application.
By adding a simple Chrome extension, you will be able to:
1. ✏️ Add comments on any web page
2. 🔍 Highlight a specific part of that page
3. 🏷️ Tag your colleagues or friends in your comment and start collaborating.
We have designed this product to enable seamless contextual conversations anywhere on the web. 🌐
You can use comments to:
1. 📝 Suggest changes you would like to make on any website
2. 🚨 Highlight issues on any web application and tag the relevant people
3. 📌 Make a note on any web page for yourself
4. 📂 Organize comments by creating team spaces
Comments is going to be free to use for anyone who signs up. 🆓 We are excited to see how you make use of Whatfix Comments in your day-to-day to enhance your productivity. 🚀 We look forward to hearing from you. Just tag "@help" in a comment to reach us. 👋
Since feedback is one of the most important thing to grow and develop as a brand I think your product is really helpful. Congratulations on the launch!
I agree @sandradjajic
It is very important to be able to track actionable feedback that can reach us from multiple platforms. Comments can make it easy to track all actionables, and if needed be able to refer to the source of that information too.
I look forward to learning about your experience with Comments for this important note-taking use case :)
@mho22 That would be amazing!
For now, the comments are only visible to the folks you tag in it. You have the option to tag @all and the comment becomes visible to everyone in your team workspace.
(You can invite people to your workspace by tagging them in a comment)
Your collaborative webpage tool shows great promise. To take it even further, consider these suggestions:
Enable threaded conversations within comments for better organization and context.
Integrate a real-time co-editing feature to enhance collaboration on shared web content.
Provide browser extensions for seamless integration with popular browsers.
Offer the ability to highlight specific sections of a webpage, making comments more precise.
Implement integrations with project management tools for effortless task creation from comments.
@realkunalmehta Hi Kunal, thank you for sharing your suggestions
1. We do support conversation threads. If you tag me in a comment, I will be able to respond to you, both of us can tag others and bring them into the comment loop, and so on. I hope this is what you were looking for.
2. We do not have co-editing at the moment. We only enable commenting anywhere on the web and don't make changes to the underlying web page. I'm curious to know how would you use a capability like this. Do share more.
3. Currently our extension works on Chrome and Microsoft Edge. We will bring in support for more browsers soon.
4. We do allow you to point to a specific section of any page but we don't have a highlight function. Thanks for sharing!
5. That is an amazing idea. What project management tool do you use?
Thank you @cyriljeet
This can help teams share suggestions with each other on funnels they create with CloudFunnels and also annotate and discuss analytics with each other. I hope you leverage this to collaborate with your team.
@rahul_luthra Absolutely. We attach the URL and screenshot with each comment making it easy for the person receiving the feedback to understand the context. I will look forward to hearing more about your experience.
Really nifty idea and super helpful in multiple use cases. Excited to try this out a bit more over time to home in on all the different ways it can provide value to the team. Kudos on the launch!
@adam_fry Thank you for sharing. It can really help bring all ideas and suggestions in one place and collaborate on various tools you use at Budgeat.
I will look forward to hearing more about your experience with Comments.
Thank you for mentioning the video @filip_ognjanovic
My colleague really did a great job on it and I will forward your praise to him as well.
Do try out Comments for managing feedback as you build Bizzllet. It can really help streamline all suggestions and information in one page and the fact that all of it is visible in context can really help avoid any confusion in the long run.
Pretty cool feature to enjoy while surfing on the internet. I was able to add comment and tag my friend in one of the article and we both are able to share an interactive and instant thoughts on a specific topic. Awesome.
I really like the idea of your product. If it's as easy to set up and use as you say, I'll definitely be using it! I'll take a closer look and test it out in the next few days.
@alex_egorov To set up simply download the extension and sign in. You will be ready to comment on any webpage and tag to invite any users you want.
I will look forward to hearing more about your experience.
@miro_root That is a valid point. The comments you create are only visible to you if you don't tag anyone on it. If you want me to be able to see the comment, you will need to tag me by using @anshul.gurbaxani@whatfix.com
At most, you can tag @all which sends the comment to everyone you invite (tagged in a comment in past) on your workspace.

Currently using this in my selling efforts. I find an interesting news story, account page, or specific contact and I’m able to tag team members to collaborate on outreach. Pretty nifty.
Question for the developers - is there a way to link to my comments? Imagine the workflow where the accounts or contacts are added into a google sheet. It would be helpful context to link the comment in a neighboring cell, so I remember exactly why we’re reaching out.
@ali_azimi1 Thank you so much. Do share with us how Comments was able to help you collaborate with your team and in case you have any design/UX experience suggestions for us :)
