@devaonbreaches Thanks a lot :)

This looks very useful and well executed - I love your video! The human vs. machine translation aspect isn't clear for me. Your features page says "Automatic & human translation" but doesn't clarify whether you have humans review the translations you provide or whether you just facilitate me to get access to professional translators at an additional fee. If I don't speak the language then I'm not going to know if I need a professional translator or if your translations are "good enough". Does your pricing include human review or is it just for automated translation?
Eugène Ernoult
@alxcnwy Hi Alex, great question. We offer a first layer of automatic translations. You can then edit the translations yourself, invite your team to do so or order pro translations for an additional fee. Automatic translations give a great first version and is a good way to never have not translated content on your website. But translation is always subjective. It depends on your brand identity and how you want to talk to your customers so it’s always better to make sure it fits your corporate voice.
tela
I’ve built my product to be multi-lingual and localized, but have shifted other languages to after our initial release. Is there a possibility to white-label or charge our customers for your translations?
Augustin Prot
@tela yes we can work something out if the use case is in our scope. Can you send an email to support @ weglot.com with your product and a short summary of the use case you have in mind? thx
Thomas Deneulin
Very good product! We implemented it for our product and nothing is more pleasant than to see your site translated in 5 minutes! We did a review and manual translation after that but at least the implementation process is fast!
Floran Pagliai
Hello @tdeneulin, thank you so much for your feedback!
Remy Berda
Hi Product Hunters 👋 Weglot founder here. We originally came up with the idea of Weglot through our own frustration of not being able to find an easy way to translate a website. After 3 years, we are really happy to share our progress with you. What started as a WordPress plugin and later a Shopify app, has now grown to a translation solution for any type of website trusted by more than 50,000 users! We wanted to make the process of creating a multilingual site as simple as possible - so Weglot’s installation is around 5 minutes, no code and no need to bother your dev team. How does it work? Once Weglot is integrated on your website, it’ll automatically detect all your content and deliver it in any language. We provide a first layer of automatic translation to help you save time. You then get complete control over your translations, either editing them yourself or asking a professional translator to do so. And, that’s Weglot in a nutshell! We’re here to answer any questions, feedback and suggestions! PS: We have a 10-day free trial so don't hesitate to try it out so you can see for yourself 😀

@remyberda Holy goodness ! This one exactly meets my requirement. Thank you and congrats on your launch :)

I will give it a try for https://www.evcure.com I created on webflow. It contains alot of very precise alignment of text so with other languages being longer than English, that might be a problem. Not because of your tool but because of my design. I'll give it a try. I live in Quebec so I speak French and was frustrated not to have a quick solution to translate my site for my community. I created it English-first for worldwide appeal.
Eugène Ernoult
@pierreroberge Hi Pierre, we have quite a few Webflow users so it should work perfectly! Our support team can help you better integrate the translations depending on the language if needed. Contact us at support @ weglot.com
Vladimir Kusnezow
Work with it (under duress) for a while now and really unhappy. Support glances with incompetence (instead of looking what the problem is, saying the apps are the problem which never changed in a year), and the app itself works inconsistent (through loading times it changes the website from auto-translate to manual translate). I mean it sure is a good app for someone who just begins and need some translations, but not if you are a bigger company who need stable and good working translations on the website.
Augustin Prot
@vladimirkusnezo Thanks for bringing that to us, especially since we're dedicated to offer the best possible experience with our product and our support. Among our users, we have many big companies who are very satisfied using Weglot for their website translations. We'd be more than happy to help and investigate the issue you faced, you can email us now at support@weglot.com, I'll personally answer
Vladimir Kusnezow
@weglot Thanks for looking into our problem @augustin_prot2 ! That sure gets an upvote from me! ;-) I hope you support will one day get as good as your fast and reliable as you! :-)
Augustin Prot
@weglot @vladimirkusnezo My pleasure. Normally our support is even better than me, we'll make sure it's the case for all our users.

A few years ago, I had to localize a Wordpress website. It was such a pain! You had to use Excel files, manage translators, etc. I'm impressed by what you've done with Weglot: doing the same thing today would take me way less time!
Eugène Ernoult
@gregdabo Thank you Grégoire for your kind words ;)
Joël Kai Lenz
Weglot is super simple for anyone involved. Not only the person installing it and setting it up, but also the end user! I had so many clients call me and tell me that they love Weglot! Super cool to see it here on PH as well! Big shout out to the Marketing Team as well. They always inform you superb and give you the best insights!
Eugène Ernoult
@ankericious Thank you Joël for the kind words!
Anna Filou
Does it work with fully custom websites (i.e. no CMS)? Does it require JavaScript?
Remy Berda
@anna_0x Yes absolutely, it works with any custom website!
Yevhenii Peteliev
Niiceee! How I lived without it before? I like it) Сongratulations!

An abolute gem of AI engineering along with excellent UI and UX. I love weglot and can't wait to see what the future brings.
Remy Berda
@dan_ydestrand Thanks a lot for this kind words
Alex Sirota
For WordPress users it is just about the most elegant way to do translations. It's especially great at really large ecommerce sites or information sites where the load of translation text is high up front and continuously changes. The savings alone in translation work is incredible, and instead of doing translations you just review what the machine made and just correct in place if necessary. A very interesting, and elegant way to look at the hassle of translation management.
Remy Berda
@alexsirota Thanks Alex, when we built it we tried to do it elegantly indeed, not overcharging the database. We wanted to keep it clean and flexible. I'm really happy about your comment as it's exactly what we tried to do !
Alex Sirota
@remyberda One thing I have heard as an issue for smaller organizations is the ongoing cost for sites that don't change frequently. You may want to think about fixed cost plan that allows you to pay a fee up front based on a certain amount of words. The cost could be competitive with the cost for translation (say .10-.25c per word) but there's no ongoing cost. This turns smaller organizations off that don't have too much changes on their site.
Thomas Pouillevet
A significant time saver! I really like the possibility of being able to manually adapt the automatic translation to fit the context! Congratulations to the team
Augustin Prot
@thomas_pouillevet Thanks for your feedback and kind words!
Arun Babu
Is this using some kind of Google translate API in the backend? Because, I choose a non-common language for the translation process and 20% of the text is translated while the other being struck with english. However, 9/10 for the ease of use and the time to implement this on an existing site.
Augustin Prot
@me_arunbabu If the chosen language is available it should be translated for 100% of the text. Indeed the first layer is based on Microsoft, DeepL, Google. Can you email us at support @ weglot.com? We'll make sure it's working for 100% of the text
Matt Scheurich ✌
Great looking UI and I like the ease of installation on a Shopify store. I have some questions though: * is it possible to turn off automatic translations? * can I import translations from a CSV, excel, etc? If I'm dealing with ~150 products for 4 seasons per year, it gets a bit messy having to enter in all that data for each language, no matter how good the UI looks.
Floran Pagliai
Hello @mattscheurich, thank you! * is it possible to turn off automatic translations? To do so, you have to go to your Weglot Dashboard (https://dashboard.weglot.com/) > Project Settings and uncheck the 'Automatic translations' checkbox. * can I import translations from a CSV, excel, etc? Starting from our pro plan you can export/import csv and xliff files.
Jesús Amieiro

hello, it sounds all good. does it create a new dedicated url for my wordpress posts, when I translate. this new url will be indexed by google. please can you provide a website/blog which uses weglot, so I can check which pages are indexed and get real traffic to the tranlated url thank you Ralf
Eugène Ernoult
@webcosmic Hi Ralf, thank you for your question. Yes, Weglot creates dedicated URLs for each languages and they are automatically indexed on Google. Our own website is a good example :) -> https://weglot.com/ If you select another language, you will see the subdirectories specific to each language (/fr/ and /es/). And they are all indexed on Google.
Simon Tomkins
It's an excellent product - we recommend it to our WooCommerce theme buyers who need multilingual capabilities without impacting on site performance.
Augustin Prot
@simontomkins Thanks for your reco and great feedback!
