@ashikhameed Hey Ashik, thank you ๐Ÿ’ We have a pretty generous Free plan, which should be more than enough for people or businesses new in the monitoring game. You can monitor up to 50 different URLs, websites, API endpoints or cron jobs (everything you want, you got the point ๐Ÿ™ƒ) freely. For those who need more than that, we have monthly or yearly paid plans, with more comprehensive feature sets. You can check the details for each plan on our pricing page here: https://www.webgazer.io/pricing. Oh also, for big businesses with different requirements, we work a custom plan with specific features and custom support mechanisms.

@gokhansari congrats on the launch - hopefully businesses see how this helps to rm serve their customers better, good luck!

Congrats guys! The real-time alerts and customizable status pages are fantastic features. How do you handle alert customization to ensure users aren't overwhelmed by notifications?
Gokhan
@kshitij11 Thanks! You are right, false-positive alerts are the worst. We do 2 things to reduce the noise as much as possible: First, when a downtime is detected, it is verified by additional requests from other WebGazer servers before sending an alert. So if you receive an alert from WebGazer, it is certain that the service didn't respond properly multiple times. Second, in some cases, people don't want to get notified about momentary downtimes. Like, if you are deploying a new version, maybe it is expected that the service will be down for 30 seconds. In that case, we have an option in our alert settings to ignore if an incident lasts shorter than a configured period. For example, for the case I mentioned, you can configure to get notified if the downtime lasts longer than 1 minute. I also wrote a docs article for this, you can see it on here: https://www.webgazer.io/docs/ale...

I love how easy it is to set up and start monitoring everything from websites to cron jobs. The user friendly interface made it a breeze to get started.
Ilknur Ultanir Sari
Thanks @andreas_sohns ๐Ÿ’ When users sign up, everything is pretty much ready to go with the first monitor and email alerts in place, and any further setup is super straightforward. We really value user-friendly products, so this feedback means a lot to us. Thanks again!

I've been using Webgazer since 2018 (seriously, you can check it with batuhan(dot)org domain email) but I didn't know the founders were Turkish. Thank you for this great product and the generous free plan <3
Gokhan
@batuhan_katirci Hahaha it is really wonderful to bump into one of the very first users in a Product Hunt comment. Happy to hear that you like WebGazer, and it means a lot because IT IS SINCE 2018!! :)
Andriy Semenets
Congrats on the launch! Is it available to self-host? Also, how does it comply with the EU data policies (GDPR)?
Gokhan
@semanser Thanks Andriy ๐Ÿ’ WebGazer doesn't offer self-hosting option, no. There are great alternatives like Uptime Kuma or Tianji for self-hosting. But I think self-hosting the uptime monitoring solution is a bit contradictory. You know, what if the monitoring tool itself is down? It feels safer to outsource and focus on the actual thing your business is offering. And about the data policies, WebGazer doesn't collect any personal information related to your users, doesn't make use of cookies or any similar data persistence stuff. So, no worries :)

This is really nice!! Its for sure something we could implement in our products straight away ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€ Congratz on the launch

Stefans Keiss
Impressive launch, WebGazer team! How does the real-time alert system handle different types of issues simultaneously?
Ilknur Ultanir Sari
Hi, @memphys_sk ๐Ÿ‘‹ WebGazer's real-time alert system prioritizes service downtime alerts over underperformance for the same service, ensuring you address critical issues first. However, if there are issues with different services, they are treated independently, and you receive separate alerts for each. This way, you can manage multiple issues efficiently. If you have more questions, feel free to reach out ๐Ÿ’
Jayesh Gohel
Hey @gokhansari Does WebGazer really offer free website monitoring with alerts? Can it track cron jobs and API health too? This sounds perfect for keeping an eye on my projects. !
Gokhan

Germรกn Merlo
Oh Gokhan! Every maker knows how hard can be monitoring and guaranteeing service uptime, and you're helping enough on that. Happy to see this level of solution. Really congrats.
Gokhan
@german_merlo1 Thank you Germรกn ๐Ÿ’
Martin Mariฤรกk
Sounds useful, to have a free, effortless monitoring tool. Does it allow for monitoring parts of web apps that require user sign in?
Gokhan
@martinmaricak Kind of depends on what kind of authentication mechanism you use Martin. If the authentication can be simulated by HTTP headers, then yes. WebGazer's HTTP monitors has configuration options for outgoing requests. You can see details on docs here: https://www.webgazer.io/docs/htt...
elsa_jonathan
