After some deliberation, I've decided to not renew the domain and put the project on indefinite pause (read: cancelled) As it turns out, getting things like this to come together, things that require lots of "real-life" on-the-ground users from the get-go to be useful, it's REALLY HARD. The barriers to iOS production, as in, having something on the public App Store that people can use, it's also really high compared to webstuff or even Android. Perhaps the personal vision was too weak to overcome any of this. It's not a total waste though. Lessons were learned and I now have a coherent enough framework to build future React Native apps with. I've redirected my attention to other things that I'm really hopeful about; I probably won't post most here, though, they're not nearly as compatible with... the "culture" of this place, I suppose. A small side project I started around last year as an exploration into React Native development, inspired by many painful experiences, the network functions as a global charging station for any time where unexpectedly running out of battery power might be inconvenient. The app is still in a pretty minimal state, and due to struggles with the App Store approval process, it's only currently available through TestFlight as a sort of "soft launch".
