I'm so excited to try this out with our team. We've been struggling with random slackbots and ways to connect. There are a lot of people onboarding missing that social connection at work. <3
Hey PH! ๐
Our mission is to make WFH fun and strengthen friendships within teams. Thatโs whatโs really missing in the remote workplace. Most existing tools are oriented around meetings and productivity โ Watercooler is for all the moments in-between, like lunch breaks and happy hours.
Itโs not a replacement for Slack or Zoom, but coexists alongside them. While those tools seek to improve productivity, we're oriented around genuine social connection among colleagues. Think features like voice changers, games and other fun activities. :)
@dsa have a look at aboutsnack.com. I am solving the same problem of loneliness and lack of connection with the team, but using short video calls instead of audio. It grew to 100k users in under 6 weeks. I am putting together an article about Snack and alternatives. Happy to include Watercooler if you email me (gajus@gajus.com).
On my end, I would love to see more and possibly even fiddle with it (use it firsthand), I am actively looking for a functional comms app that emcompasses social, comms and ease of us for my older non tech users.
@dsa is there a video demo at all or some screen shots that just talk about what it does and how? The landing page just prompts you to sign up. I'd just like to better understand the product before I connect it to my slack and let it loose on my teams :) We use Donut so not sure if it's the same sort of thing?
