Anyone using a WhatsApp Chatbot for their business? Results?
I’ve been researching WhatsApp chatbots for business and tested a few tools. The potential seems huge:
24/7 customer support without hiring
Automated lead capture from chats
Payments directly in WhatsApp
But I’m curious:
For those using one:
Which platform worked best?
Did you see measurable ROI (e.g., faster replies, more sales)?
Biggest challenges?
For skeptics:
What’s holding you back? (Cost? Setup complexity? )

Still on the fence here. I’m not super tech sharpness, so setting it up feels a bit overawe. Do any of these tools have hand holding support?
I’ve been exploring them too—some of the tools look promising, but I’m still trying to figure out which one’s the easiest to set up without needing too much coding. Curious to see what others are using and what kind of results they’re getting.
Yes, I did. It was good, but the major problem was that people started reporting you, which led to the number getting blocked. Then, you had to buy another number, which was very time-consuming.
Rest conversion rate is good.
I use WhatsApp chatbot not for marketing, but for a marketplace platform (https://cloomi.ai) which connects patients with healthcare service providers. Works very well, but the API is not well-developed, nor well-maintained. My view is Meta has an AppStore competitor on its hands, but just doesn't seem to know it. A lot of standalone apps really don't need to be. As part of the platform I have developed a simple WhatsApp reminder applet that I'm in the process of spinning off as a separate product.
I've been using wati.io to manage all the businesses I handle — and it's been nothing short of perfect. It seamlessly integrates multiple APIs within the bot to validate inputs, send OTPs, capture leads, and even trigger dynamic WhatsApp templates based on user selections — all in real time.
The number blocking issue is actually a compliance problem that most DIY solutions don't address properly. When you follow WhatsApp's business guidelines correctly (proper opt-ins, rate limiting, content filtering), this becomes a non-issue.
At kwikscaleai.com We've deployed 100+ WhatsApp bots without a single blocking incident.
Great points! We've been exploring WhatsApp chatbots too, and the potential is definitely impressive — especially for eCommerce businesses like harwage, where quick replies can drive more conversions. For us, using a WhatsApp chatbot helped automate FAQs, capture leads during off-hours, and even guide customers toward specific product categories like our tunic dress collection.
We tested platforms like WATI and Zoko WATI worked best for us due to its clean UI and Shopify integration. In terms of ROI, we noticed faster response times and better engagement during peak sale days, which translated into higher cart completions.
The biggest challenge? Setting up the initial flow and making sure it feels natural, not robotic. But once you get that right, the long-term gains are worth it. If you're on the fence, I’d say start small even a basic auto-responder can make a difference.
In many latin american countries almost all small to medium (and even large) businesses do sales and support over Whatsapp. This is a huge opportunity that I'm personally interested in as well.

Great points, Sreerag. WhatsApp definitely has crazy untapped potential for business workflows. I’m actually building LancePilot, a WhatsApp marketing + automation tool built for solo founders and small teams. Think campaigns, broadcasts, auto-replies, even lead scoring all from one dashboard.
We’ve seen solid early traction with B2B services and DTC brands, especially around lead conversion and reactivation. Happy to share more or show you what it looks like if you’re exploring options!
