Hey Product Hunt! ✌️ I’m Josh, a co-founder of Volley–your new daily driver. We’re trying to make remote team communication suck less by addressing the two main problems (lack of communication and loneliness) head-on. Our solution is an async video messaging app with interactive transcriptions neatly organized into workspaces. Unlike Slack, Volley emphasizes talking over typing (76% of volleys sent are video). Unlike Zoom, Volley doesn’t require you to coordinate schedules (it’s 100% asynchronous). Unlike Loom, your volley lives in a threaded conversation with context (neatly organized). We started building Volley last year after the pandemic hit because we recognized that the world just needed a better way to communicate. We went into private beta last fall, and released cross-platform this spring. Since then, we’ve been working with the thousands of teams who have adopted the product to iterate our way to a great product experience. We’re proud of what we’ve built so far, but we know we have more work to do to make this product truly world-class. I would love your help. @littlejosh I do not endorse many products but when I do, I do it the whole heartedly. Volley has been transformative for our remote team (5 ppl when we started using volley, now 10 and soon 15 all over the world!). We were running a mix of live zoom to sync up, plus Slack and email, while having pods of conversations in our Irish and Boston/US offices. It was hard to all be in sync, and keep the humane touch in each convo. Working with Volley has been an awesome experience. We have each team member who created a different workflow working with his or her boss 1:1, or as a team to share ideas. This is now the number 1 way for us to discuss about complex topic, share praises and say hi! :) Go volley!! I couldn’t think about running a company in 2021 without it :-)

When I first came across Volley, it took me a second. But when I *got* it, I instantly saw the potential for Volley in workplaces, in-person and remote, all over the world. Excited to see more teams Volleying! ?makers What is the best analogy you've heard to describe Volley?

@kai_lovel Great question. The two I hear most often is "Snapchat for work" or "Marco Polo and Slack had a baby." I think each have merit.

We use Volley everyday as our primary communication and workflow tool. Far superior to Slack and Zoom it’s the natural way to integrate our remote team strategy and keep the entire company together.

I work with so many different clients and we discuss complex topics so email and text are very laborious. The only other option was to schedule a phone call or web chat which was inconvenient as well. Now, we can have rich, complex conversations whenever it works for either of us and we make things happen way quicker. Volley is a game changer!

Volley is so easy to use that I accidentally shared a volley and got a volley reply from Josh himself in 2 minutes. And boom, I immediately got how this app works. Async communication is going to be huge and I hope Volley is leading the wave!

I love volley! I use it to delegate work, and follow up on the work in a way that allows me to be more thorough and lighthearted than a task write up, and less time consuming than a synchronous meeting.
