Hi everyone,
We're really excited to release the latest version of the Vivaldi browser today, with a particular focus on making your browser history more useful than ever before.
The time seemed right to look at History again - it's a key browser feature which hasn't had much attention in recent years.
Instead of having to scroll through hundreds of lines as with a typical browser history, Vivaldi gives a comprehensive overview of your behaviour, presented in a visual way. This lets our users analyze their online activity and helps them find what they are looking for. I particularly like the ability to search contextually. Watch the video for an example use case: https://youtu.be/iLrvoBMa8PM.
I think it's important to note as well that the new History feature shows the kind of data that could be tracked by third parties. Instead of trying to monetize our users’ browsing patterns, we are giving them this data – for their eyes only.
Let us know what you think.
Cheers,
Jon
