A simple application that allows you to generate various copy with just a prompt. Its use ranges from summarizing long text, answering questions, completing thoughts and writing articles. The tool is powered completed by OpenAI's GPT-3 algorithm.
@chrismessina This is one of those questions I get that I don't have the complete answer to... GPT-3 is trained on parameters from the internet so I think there is a chance it can pull from content that should be properly referenced... From my interview with OpenAI, I get from them that the intention is never to pass off content generated without mentioning that it is from an AI. In other words, you shouldn't pass it off as your own work... So the kind of stuff they approve will reflect just that.
@campbellsinvestment but looking at the screen recording, it appears that the person is copying and pasting from random pages on the web and then the Ghost Writer is constructing new content based on those inputs... is the result not a derivative work? If not, then I have a hard time seeing how copyright law will serve any purpose going forward. And I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
@campbellsinvestment@chrismessina The AI takes context from the input but not "content". From my tertiary knowledge it's not plagiarised if you reference your work... but this is when I am writing an official paper. When I am writing a blog, if I read another blog and get an idea, am I plagiarising?
I am not too familiar with copyright law but reference should be made by the authors using the work. As you can see it is not an automatic process but manual and it should just be an aid to a writer. The writer is still responsible to reference properly.
@ze_rusty Hi Sachin, I know... I did start with three (3) attempts but it got abused and I still have to pay for everything at OpenAI so that because expensive... Sorry about that.
tried 3 attempts ... did not work for me ... Tom Bradys diet came up with Uncooked Rice and fruits or something hilarious like that .. google search will bring up a better answer than that....
and your life is a story........ came back with this .. ugh ..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I had an amazing day. Not only did we have a fantastic time running the 5k (well I did, you`ll have to read tomorrow`s post to find out what the rest of The Foolish Family did when they were supposed to be running 5k`s.) but the beach was beautiful and peaceful. It took my soul back in time. My husband and I love anniversaries. Not the stuff of things, just memories. We celebrate them by doing
@sharfunnisa_quadri Thanks for trying out the app. When you say "did not work for me" I think you are trying to communicate that you didn't get an answer you were looking for. But the application itself works fine and the AI works well. The thing is we are humans... we have to tweak and give context to the AI so we can get more of an expected result.
I have been fighting with the website for about 10 minutes just to find how I can login. Once I managed to login I couldn't for the life of me make the app work. No text I added returned any results.
@angelossavvaidis Hi Angelos... One of two things... either your email address is not confirmed or you are not logged in.
Send me an email at contact @virtualghostwriter.com I will help with anything you need.
@linusgeffarth There is a language converter in the top right corner powered by Google Translate... the German language should work in the input as well... go ahead and try it out.
I'm not able to try the trial, it asks to purchase even my first use. After I refreshed the page I'm not able to log in anymore. If I click "Login" I shows the signup popup, I don't have a password.
@greentreelabs Hi Diego... Check again... Login now comes first... Please send me an email at contact @virtualghostwriter.com and I will have your attempts increased.
Signed up so I could kick the tires. Received the verification email. Clicked the verification link. Page is blank and black. My account never shows as verified. Can you help @campbellsinvestment ?
Hi Stephen,
Great job ;-D
Can you confirm that a monthly subscription of $9.99 would produce a word count of around 26,000 words with an average word having 5 characters?
Thanks
@philip_home Philip, sorry about getting back to you so late.... Monthly $9.99 would give you a 104,000 words with an average word having 5 characters.
@philip_home@campbellsinvestment Philip It could if the correct prompt is provided. Let's say you want answer questions about youtube... you would structure the prompt like this:
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Question: What does youtube provide?
Answer: A platform for users to share and upload video content.
Question: How is youtube monetized?
Answer: By charging advertisers to run their ads on frequently viewed videos within their particular niche.
Question: How do I find videos I want to see on youtube?
Answer:
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
And then the AI will pick up the context and attempt to answer the final question.
Currently the app is at least not useful. I subscribed to create some blog content. Asked how to become like elon musk and got answers like "read this book." or "watch a 4 min video", not even links. The article generator just doesn't work. And I won't get a full refund, cause "I used credits" that generated nonsense paragraphs. Evn more nonsense than Meghan Markle's speaking . Oddly off.
@mmkontis That's not true. The app is useful to other users. I am sorry that it is not useful to you. Be aware that you are asking these questions to artificial intelligent algorithms not human beings... The AI has to get proper content.
The article generator does work. I am sorry that you haven't gotten the results that you were looking for.
I offered you a refund right away, but you never confirmed. You would have wanted me to foot the cost of your credit consumption by giving you a full refund after you used the app extensively with 18 prompts and I am just not able to do that
@campbellsinvestment Couple of feedbacks-
1. The signup form requires a bit of restructuring to improve the UX:
2. On the click on LOGIN IN FIRST, you can directly open the Login Popup. Currently buttons are clickable but nothing happens.
3. It's worth giving some test credits so that user can see how effective is the tool. Currently no way to test without making a payment. ShowStopper.
@campbellsinvestment@geniusdibya #1. Username was intended #2. Thank you for the great feedback.. I will make the changes.
3. Currently one test (which the app offers) affords the user up to 2000 credits... I think that is fair plus I have placed videos demonstrating what the app can do. I really would love to do more but the truth is it's not feasible right now.
Thanks @campbellsinvestment. But, I was not able to even test once for free, app says to buy credits. You can use tools like Hotjar to see the user journey on screen.
@campbellsinvestment@geniusdibya I also didn't get to use my 1 free attempt, it shows that I have 1 attempt after signing up, but it doesn't let me use it. I'm directly asked for payment when I hit the "complete" button after signing up. That free attempt gets lost somewhere between signing up and signing in.
@campbellsinvestment@geniusdibya@dogukano I have now increased the attempts to 3 for the rest of today for those that sign up after this since so many have asked for it... Send me an email as well with your sign up email so I can have yours increased.
Is this really working for any subject or just with few hot topics of the day. I wrote a sentence about 10-15 words long and clicked on complete. No indication of any progress on the page. It doesn;t say it is working or it is missing something and most definitely it is not showing anything in the generated content. How can I say it is doing something for me ? Or is it overloaded ? If so, couldn't there be a timer pop-up, saying something like "there are so-many requests ahead of you" or "please come back later" Needless to say, UI leaves a lot to be desired.
By the way, if an email confirmation is required, your email is not arriving. I have been waiting for it like past 10-15 minutes. A simple sendmail command shouldn't take that much to complete. Even to an hotmail address like mine. And yes, I checked the junkmail folder.
@travelsalot It's not working because your email hasn't been confirmed. Send me an email at contact @virtualghostwriter.com so I can have your email confirmed. What do you suggest be done to the UI?
Currently virtualghostwriter.com has had 3176 prompts & results generated, 827 sign ups, and 50 paying customers subscribed. Each user gets one (1) free attempt on the ghostwriter.
The monthly subscription gives 130,000 credits for the month (1 credit = 4 characters). The monthly subscription is only $9.99. You can comment below or contact me at contact @virtualghostwriter.com with anything that you need to know. I am available and will get back to you fairly quickly.
