@ourielohayon functionally, you're right. but in a world where the tv is becoming an always-on display (appleTV screen savers, weather displays, etc), rather than having your tv stand out from your decor as the least expressive element, this design helps it to blend in, becoming part of the room.
A solid take on bringing back retro "braun" feel to modern TVs. Most of them are made to blend in with interior. This one makes a statement instead.
Why type Serif using sans serif though?
I really like this. Doesn't look like an "electronic" at all!

Am I missing something here? to me it looks like a shell you put around your samsung TV rather than a whole set samsung will sell. Doesn't look that hard to recreate for a handy woodwork enthusiast...
