Where did Video Ocean come from?


We're a passionate team of creatives and technologists based in Singapore — committed to making storytelling accessible to everyone.


Since our first launch, we've significantly enhanced Video Ocean's capabilities, driven by major improvements in our AI models. Our open-source model, Open-Sora, has achieved incredible success, now boasting 25K stars on GitHub and recently hitting the #1 spot on GitHub Trending.


Since many creators have fantastic ideas but find it hard to turn them into compelling videos, we created Video Ocean—to empower anyone to effortlessly transform text and images into professional, engaging videos.


We believe the future of video generation will heavily rely on computational efficiency and optimization—areas where Video Ocean excels.

Non-English language support is also a top priority for us. Quickly tried it. I think the UI is quite good, has all essential features for quick media generation and is intuitive to use.

However, I had the impression that the visual quality is still significantly behind commercial models.
