I love the idea and will definitely be trying out over the summer. I'm wary of subscription based pricing for recruiting though. What kind of guarantee do you have that you have a big enough talent pool that also aligns with our company culture, that I'd be able to find someone within a month or two that fit?

Re talent pool, we're an assessment platform, not a job board or LinkedIn. You can post job ads directly from Vervoe, use team referrals or invite candidates directly to do automated interviews - it's seamlessly integrated. Only you have access to your candidates. The value is in being able to skip résumés / screening and automatically interview people straight away and in parallel. All our plans include unlimited candidates and interviews. @gflandre Thanks Guillaume, that's really helpful feedback actually. We're trying to address one of the biggest issues we see in hiring - speed. Nobody likes to waste time on unnecessary, manual tasks. So we're using technology to remove them so hiring managers can spend time more wisely.

There's something fundamentally "wrong" with the current hiring process. Lots of invisible bias and discrimination that no one really likes to talk about. I've been at both sides of the table and both are equally tough. And for candidates looking for an opportunity, it's a sad state. I think this is a great idea and have lots of potential in uncovering hidden gems and talent. To be honest, sometimes it just takes a while for you to uncover that potential. I’m just plain bad at interviewing candidates. Vervoe sounds like it can help cure that. Creating and/or using custom scripts is an awesome idea to save time and generate ideas. That along with automated interview stages definitely warrants a try for me.

I love this idea. Hiring at a startup usually involves incredibly tight timelines (we need someone 2 weeks ago!) paired with little expert oversight (you'll have a recruiter guiding the process if you're lucky). This tool is so valuable in helping startup teams find the right people as quickly as possible. Really great to see more community collaboration/knowledge sharing happening around this pain point.

@bergjosh Glad to hear your business is growing! I suggest two automated interviews in parallel. One using a skill-based interview script to test writing skills (welcome email, blog post and in-app cues, etc); the other using a script to test customer scenarios (fee negotiation, project scoping, unhappy client, etc). Progress candidates straight to the automated interview stage - you'll have responses in a couple of days. Only talk to people who complete both interviews. You'll be surprised with the results and you'll be done in a few days. Let us know how it goes.

Vervoe is a game changer when it comes to finding the needle (talent) in a haystack. Having worked in a number of large organisations it is difficult to find people with the right skills (and validating those skills). It can be very time consuming and often the validation of those skills like financial analysis and modeling happens too late (sometimes after you have already hired the wrong person). The countless hours "wasted" with multiple interviews, expensive recruitment fees etc especially if you hired the wrong person. Now it is possible to validate someone's claim on their resume that they have advanced modeling skills, or any modeling skills by using automated interviews and accelerated filtering. As the finance function in all companies evolve (partly due to disruption and removal of low value operational work and transitioning to higher value insight and decision making) finding the right accounting staff who have this scarce skill is made significantly easier with Vervoe. Disclaimer: I write interview scripts for companies to access and assess potential candidates, so that they don't waste their time and money hiring the wrong employee.

There is room for highly regarded experts in their field to contribute content and assist companies hire the best people. It also assists those who lose out on opportunities to realise clearly why they didn't get the role. How many people today never find out why they weren't hired....insert training and development platform alongside Vervoe and you suddenly see a much larger opportunity and relationship for society than just hiring. One of my biggest pet peeves is having someone interview for a marketing job by someone who has no idea what the job entails. I love how you can look for the right script for the positions you’re looking for and the questions actually provide some tips on what the answers should be. Such a great tool and will be telling my clients to use it in the future.
