absolute fan of @haydenbleasel's work, the maker of @Orate @Tersa @Kibo UI among others, and super pumped to post this new update of @next-forge — a production-grade template to build modern Next.js apps.
@rauchg puts it simply: "[next-forge is] a production-grade, monorepo-first, full stack Next.js template. Very thoughtfully engineered and documented. Covers auth, DB & ORM, payments, docs, blog, o11y, analytics, emails, and even feature flags & dark mode."
next-forge is 100% open-source — view source code — and is now part of @Vercel.
what will you build this weekend?
Vercel just keeps raising the bar! Super smooth deployments, great developer experience, and now with even more powerful tools—love how much easier it makes building and scaling projects. Huge respect to the team!
This is incredibly useful — a true jumpstart for SaaS builders. Packed with essentials and open source from day one, it clears the path from idea to launch. Big win for indie devs and startups alike!
Thank you for sharing. The "Visit website" at the top doesn't jump to the corresponding introduction page, but directly enters the https://vercel.com console
"monorepo-first" ....like it
I’ve been using Vercel for a while now, and I have to say, it’s a game changer. The deployment is super quick, and I love how easy it makes scaling my projects. The global CDN really speeds up load times, and as a front-end developer, I couldn’t ask for a smoother experience. Definitely recommend it!
Vercel's 19th launch with next-forge? ⚡🔥 This looks like their official take on Next.js boilerplates - probably pre-configured with:
- Turbopack optimizations
- Serverless function presets
- Edge middleware templates
The "production-grade" tag suggests built-in monitoring (OpenTelemetry?) and security hooks. Expect this to become the de facto starter for Vercel-hosted Next.js apps.
next-forge looks like a solid starting point for serious Next.js projects - Vercel never disappoints!
