Hey PH fam! 👋 Co-founder here - excited to be back for our 2nd launch and to get feedback! It’s pretty simple: ask us absolutely anything about your finances (it’s okay to be really specific to your situation!) and we’ll get back to you with a hyper-personalized spot-on answer, entirely free. There’s a real Certified Financial Planner working on every single question to make sure we understand your situation and are answering you 100% correctly. Go ahead and stump us! Let’s really kick the tires on this thing :) Some more context: Uprise’s mission is to make wealth management/financial optimization as accessible as possible (ie, free). We think the key is to have real financial experts, supported by an amazing algorithm and extensive database of financial rules and products to make sure the recommendations are actually good. Up until now, we've been doing comprehensive financial advising for free (we find $2,766 for our average user their first year!). Our most popular feature is the ability to just ask us anything so we figured why not make that feature available for everyone? Also for free :) We see this as an improvement over all the forums and communities online where people ask each other for financial advice. It's great that those resources are out there but there's two problems with them: 1. Communities/forums don't know the person's full financial situation, so the advice can be off. For example, we’ve seen many threads on Reddit with people asking if they should go Roth or Traditional for their IRA. But the responders didn't take into account things like the age of the poster, or nuances like the fact they were starting midway through the year (a year of low income - which is the perfect time to do a Roth). 2. Advice from family/friends/people online is great, but they're not necessarily experts. For example, a couple of users' parents advised them to get expensive expensive whole life insurance or municipal bonds for their retirement accounts - options that might have been good for the parents but made no sense for the users. And, again, friends/family don't know your full situation/data. More personally, our CEO @jessicakchen was inspired by her mom, who worked at the FDIC and was always her go-to for financial questions (she didn't charge either :)). We think we can give the best possible answers and we’re happy to help as many people as we can. (That's the whole point!) We think the magic of what we do comes from how personalized our answers are to each person's *particular* situation/financial profile so putting together yet another financial forum doesn't feel like the right answer. However! Maybe there's a way to do it that still spot-on for the user, but also helpful for others? We're very open to ideas/suggestions!

Your Ask page never loads for me. I dragged a browser tab with Uprise to my second monitor to keep an eye on it (thinking I'm in a queue like live chat and it will eventually be my turn) but nothing ever happens. I turned ad blocking off and security protection off for your site to see if that made a difference. I tried visiting using Sidekick and Edge web browsers. I figure you're getting flooded with traffic (a good thing!), so you might consider adding information on the load screen to let visitors know whether they should wait, refresh, come back later, etc. just to make the user experience a little friendlier. Anyhoo, I'll try again later so don't mind me... just wanted to offer some friendly feedback because I like your value proposition. Best of luck!

@cgoodmac Just practicing the golden rule, brother! Most visitors who run into issues on a website just bounce without saying anything. So I hold in high regard the small % who give you a heads up. People on the outside probably assume the people behind websites always know what's happening, but that is far from the truth! If I happen to be on the site/page at the same time, sure. Or I am serendipitously logged into analytics where by chance I am watching real-time traffic and see puzzling behavior. It's a punch in the gut when you discover something hurting conversion the next day, days later, or worse. The upside I guess is that I like playing detective, identifying the culprit, and working with IT/design/third-party to squash the bug because it makes me feel like a hero! haha
