Thanks for hunting @benln!
I created Unspace because I could never figure out how to find more info on certain workspace products (chairs, desks, lights, etc.) when I saw them featured in workspaces. Now it's easy! With Unspace, you can explore and shop the exact products used by your favorite creators.
The site will get even better the more workspaces (and therefore products) are added, so that's the priority right now! If you want to see a workspace on here, feel free to reach out.
Thanks for checking it out!
Seeing my face and content used to promote a product I've never even heard of feels really weird.
I like the concept, but here's some feedback:
1. Ask the person before using their likeliness or content.
2. Make it possible for users to sign up and submit and manage their own setups.
3. (Nice to have) Allow the original poster to earn affiliate revenue through the site (like kit.co)
@colejryan If your goal is to celebrate other people's setups and content: build a relationship with them, build the community, and make this a place that promotes the work of others.
Right now it feels only like a place to scrape affiliate revenue off of the top of someone else's content.
There's potential here. I'm not assuming any ill-intent from the creator of this, just some missteps that can be improved.
