Sup!
This is the first comment of my prodcut. I'm excited AF!
Let's go!
About product
Unicorn Platform is the modern landing page builder for startups.
It's simple to use, has form integrations (Mailchimp, Zapier) and contains beautiful templates.
You can use the tool for free and host a website on a subdomain. Custom domains and branding removing are the only paid features.
You do not need to be a designer or coder to create a website page which will "look like you paid $10k for it". It is a quotation of a real client.
What is new in v2.0
There are over 30 v2's launched on Product Hunt this Autumn. But I believe my update is the most significant and impressive.
So what is new?
As you may remember, the v1.0 version of Unicorn Platform was a static landing page generator. It was producing HTML templates for export. Many of you asked me to create a complete website builder with an online content editor and hosting.
So, after a year of work, the v2.0 is finally here. You can create websites and inner pages, add page components, edit colors, fonts, button styles, add custom code, integrations, forms, tracking tools and payment services.
Your website will be protected with an A-score (SSL Labs) auto-renewing SSL certificate, provided with the best CDN by Cloudflare and has pages with over 90/100 Google Speed Insights score (see test results).
Pretty neat!
Within a month after the official release, the Unicorn Platform users have created over 600 websites in Unicorn Platform, 29 of them have a custom domain.
You can see website examples on the front page http://unicornplatform.com.
What is next
As you can see in the Changelog, the product is evolving very quickly. I carefully collect all feedbacks and create long to-do lists. Major planned features may be seen in the Roadmap.
The next step in the project's life will be an application to Y-Combinator (I know I'm late for the winter batch but maybe I still can get in @paulg?). I want to learn from the accelerator gurus and meet other founders. Pretty sure it will expand my mind and supercharge the project.
Special pricing plan for makers
I'm an indie maker myself. Moreover, I'm an ambassador of this movement. That is why I've prepared a special plan for the community.
For $8/m you will get a fully powered builder with a custom domain feature. Your website will contain the Unicorn Platform badge. This badge is super unobtrusive and placed in the very bottom of the page.
Though, you can switch to the larger plans and remove the "Runs on Unicorn Platform" badge.

Thanks for your attention! π
good job Alexander!
Landing page builder seems to be a hot niche right now with more and more tools coming out lately.
I really yours and I'm eager to try it.
I have also a few questions regarding Unicorn's feature that would instantly make me switch to it:
- do you allow forwarding rules, for example I can forward myUnicornSite/blog to my custom ghost blog ?
I also wondered what platform do you use for Unicorn blog, I love it?
Good luck with your launch and congrats !
@pierre_dwf hey Pierre!
>Landing page builder seems to be a hot niche right now with more and more tools coming out lately.
Yes, I guess so. I suppose it is caused by the rapidly growing amount of the Internet users. But honestly, I would continue building Unicorn Platform even if it was a downtrend. Simply because I love the web.
>I really yours and I'm eager to try it.
You are much welcome! It is free to start and enjoy the full power of the builder.
>I have also a few questions regarding Unicorn's feature that would instantly make me switch to it:

I plan to add a 301 redirect functionality so you will be able to do that in the future. But you will still need to host your blog on a subdomain or another domain. Is it something you are looking for?
>I also wondered what platform do you use for Unicorn blog, I love it?
It is a WordPress theme called Sailent.
I plan to allow users to create their own blogs on Unicorn Platform in 2020 though.
>Good luck with your launch and congrats !
Thank you!~
@alexanderisora 301 redirection is exactly what I am looking for!
Landing page and blog are often really tied together in terms of SEO / traffic and while I understand that building both a landing page builder and a blog builder is a lot of work I think that allowing user to forward site.com/blog, and of course, site.com/blog/post-1 to their own blog is an important requirement, at least for me ;).
There are tons of great solutions to host your own blog out there, many solution for landing page, but binding both under the same domain name, I don't want to use subdomain, seems, as of today, quite difficult.
@pierre_dwf I plan to create a simple and powerful blog platform for corporate blogs. Thus you will be able to do
your-site.com/blog/post-1
your-site.com/blog/category-title
and even your-site.com/another-blog/post-1
Many users ask for a blogging tool and I will ship it.
look really great. how does this compare to webflow? assuming not as granular control over html/css elements, but more streamlined and beautiful pre-built components?
@lnchoi Hey Ellen. You got it right!
Webflow is a do-it-yourself tool. You need to learn it and practice to achieve results.
Unicorn Platform is "spend 60 mins and get a beautiful page from scratch" tool.
Webflow has more options and customization opportunities. That is their philosophy - every single pixel can be changed.
Unicorn Platform is the opposite - we have pre-defined designs for you. You do not need to tweak every little thingy. You will be fine with the smallest time spent on your page.
Webflow has more integrations and features such as form builder. It's just a matter of time for Unicorn Platform.
My product already has a couple of integrations and the number will grow. So will grow the features list.
β
To sum up: Webflow is more powerful but takes much more time. Unicorn Platform saves your time and gives decent results to everyone.
π
We have been using UP since the first version for Qlearly, I always loved how easy it was.
The beta for the v2 looked very promising, congrats on the launch Alexander!
@guillaumebardet thanks a lot Guillaume! Qlearly has one of the most beautiful landing page built with Unicorn Platform out there. I did not put it on the "examples" section only because it is made on v1.0 so it would be a little unfair to call it as an example.
Amazing, congrats on the v2.0 launch @alexanderisora - been following your development and it's looking great! Will definitely recommend Unicorn Platform at the upcoming IndieHackers meetup in Cape Town. Keep up the great work! :)
@alexanderisora I digital nomad around a lot so I can't really be a meetup organizer but I know the Cape Town ambassadors well and go to the Cape Town meetup when I'm in town (I am currently and there's a meetup happening soon!)
@alxcnwy if you ever plan to visit Mother Russia, Saint Petersburg, you will be an honoured guest at our IH community. I will also show you the city and give a couch to sleep :)
Been an active user for quite some time now :)
Just love it, beautiful and efficient work --
Congrats on the official launch of the V2 @alexanderisora !!
Great product, we've been using V1 and Beta V2 for NeuralCam's website as a starting point and customizing from that. It's easy to set up and use, and really easy to customize afterwards :) thank you!
I came, saw, tested shortly and upgraded to paid package in 10 minutes.
Congrats, really a LP Builder which is not just powerfully, but makes much fun to use it.
I did a first version of my new Landing Page https://kunvenu.com in some minutes.
I've built a landing page using the product - the feedback from my users has been tremendous. In my eyes, for the usecase of a tech landing page, the product is superior to all the mainstream website builders out there.
Have seen Alexander build this since early days and have been a paid user until now. I love how he keeps shipping and replies to all kind of feature requests! I have already used this in two side projects that i was able to whip out in a few hours via Unicorn Platform.
Kudos and keep growing!
@adityarao310 hey Aditya. Yeah, I remember you asked for sign up and sign in pages long ago. I've shipped it only because you asked for it. Funny thing: it seems you are the only one who actually used it π
@alexanderisora, congratulations on your launch of Unicorn Platform v2.0. You might be glad to hear that I actually got the job at the startup a couple of months back. I still work here. How you ask?
Designing landing pages was part of the assignment and one of the criteria in the selection process.
Thanks for building this website for non-coders like me who find immense value in such platforms to achieve a goal :)
Cool product! I think there may be a small bug where if I integrate a form with mailchimp, it says 'Enter the Zapier Webhook URL and press "Save"'. Are we supposed to use the zapier mailchimp integration? It's not totally clear.
@ruiaguiar hey Rui. Sorry for confusing you. It is a typo.
Yes, you can integrate your Mailchimp into a Unicorn Platform form without Zapier in the middle.
@ruiaguiar cool! Let me know if you have any suggestions. I'm super open for fresh ideas, especially from enthusiasts like you!
P.S. just fixed the Mailchimp issue.
Beautiful designs, easy to use, loads of potential!
I was first drawn to Unicorn for it's clean designs and the promise to launch a hosted platform. Alexander has certainly delivered and I am excited to see how things grow.
All the best @alexanderisora!
@elenanabi hey Elena! There a few headers which include a video in it.
I plan to add a switch image <-> video so you will be able to add a video on almost any header :)
@alexanderisora that would be great - to easily switch between the video and image. I know there is a way to paste the code if needed, but I am mostly a non-technical co-founder :))
@elenanabi do not worry, I plan to implement it :) My audience are non-coders who do not want to spend time to explore coding. So I will do my best to provide enough options and customization so users do not feel limited too much.
