Experienced Marketers Let's Hear It 🙇‍♂️ What was the riskiest marketing move you have done?

Personally, relying on my intuition would always lead into a hit-or-miss scenario where the data does not support a campaign's success, but I just feel like it would. Although there are times it does not go as well as I expected it to, when it does super well, I feel amazingly gratified! How about yours?

Bold move! I haven't risked the entire budget on one campaign before, but I did experiment with some lesser known channels and tactics that felt risky at the time. Shifted a big chunk of ad spend to Reddit ads and niche newsletters sponsorships. Felt like jumping into the unknown but ended up uncovering some high-ROI opportunities. It's exciting (and a little scary) pushing beyond the standard playbook!

Oh man, going all-in on a new channel like that takes guts! Influencer marketing can definitely feel like a gamble. We tried shifting a big chunk of our budget to podcast ads before they were proven. Heart-stopping when you're waiting to see if it pays off! But when you nail the targeting and partner with the right voices, the ROI can be incredible. Props for having the courage to be an early adopter...the risk/reward on that is no joke!

Oh man, one of the riskiest moves for me was going all-in on influencer marketing before it was proven. Felt like a huge gamble at the time partnering with micro-influencers in our niche. But it seriously paid off - their authentic promotion drove a ton of sales. Risky plays like that are terrifying but the upside can be massive if you pick the right trend to jump on early!
