We're so thrilled to release umbrelOS 1.0. It's a complete rebuild of umbrelOS - a home cloud OS that allows you to run your own private cloud with apps like Nextcloud for file storage, LlamaGPT for running Llama 2 models locally, Bitcoin Node, Home Assistant, and more.
No technical skills required: you can easily install umbrelOS on a Raspberry Pi 4 or Pi 5. Or you can get the powerful, plug-and-play Umbrel Home.
✨ How to install:
1. Download umbrelOS onto a microSD card.
2. Insert the card in a Raspberry Pi 4 or Pi 5.
3. Connect the Pi to your WiFi using an ethernet cable.
4. Turn it on, and visit http://umbrel.local in a web browser.
