What to say... Neil did it again πŸ™Œ. Thats just super impressive and super useful πŸ‘. Hope it will work for a long long time and you'll be able to deal with scrapers. 🀞
Neil Patel
Thanks for the kind words. Just wait for version 2.0 ;)
Csaba Kissi
@neilpatel I've tried to export to CSV unfortunately only 16 records were exported. Actually 300 backlinks are listed on the page.

Thanks for hunting this Ben. I really appreciate the Product Hunt community sharing this as my goal is to help all startups with their SEO and I believe they shouldn't have to pay money to generate more traffic. If you are wondering what Backlinks does: 1. You can easily see who links to you or your competitors. This helps you figure what links you need to build to rank higher on Google. 2. Now link reports are integrated into Ubersuggest. You can see who links to a site's most popular pages. 3. You can see a site's domain score. Typically the higher the number the higher a site will rank. 4. You can filter links by almost anything you want. From anchor text to zones... you can drill down to the type of links you are interested in. This way you aren't spending hours trying to find new opportunities. Oh and if you use Ubersuggest on a regular basis, you may have to hard refresh or clear your cache to see the new Backlinks feature/report.
Gail Gardner
@neilpatel Is there any way to show the actual significance of sites on domains like Medium, Weebly, WordPress.com, blogger, etc.? Or do you believe the high DAs those sites enjoy extends to content published on them?
Erik Emanuelli
I just tested this tool for a couple of my sites and got new interesting data to work on. I liked the Top SEO Pages section and the SEO keywords tab gave me new content ideas. Bookmarked. I'll use it later with each of my websites. It's unusual to get something free, nowadays, so thank you for this handy tool @neilpatel !
Neil Patel
@erikemanuelli you're welcome. :)

Very useful product. I am already using Ubersuggest for keyword research purpose from a long time. Adding this feature is a boon for us along with kW analysis as before I need to purchase the full premium version of ahrefs, semrush, long tail pro and what not, to go into the deep. Thanks! @neilpatel. P.S. I wonder on the off chance that you will keep this freemium perpetually, or monetize it in future with new pricing premium plans in order to utilize it further?
Neil Patel
@vikas_yadav1 goal is to keep it free and ideally not go freemium
Robert Katai
Congrats Neil for another SEO tool. But now I'm wondering, what are the differentiator points between Ahrefs, Moz and Majestic in this category of backlinks?
Neil Patel
@katairobi not much... and within a few months I will take the premium features and release more of them for free. Just takes a bit of time for development. :/ Next month I will release a version of Buzzsumo with more data for free. ;)

Woah... Another stellar tool from the creator of CrazyEgg & Kissmetrics :) I've actually tested Backlinks last week and found it very useful - it has similar functionalities to ahrefs only its...free. I also love the ease of use and "no clutter" interface where the results are in your face without needing to keep tabbing. Good stuff!
Neil Patel
@nadavdakner thanks for the kind words. My goal is to make SEO easy and affordable (free) for everyone. Especially startups.

It would be nice to somehow know the relative value of content on sites like Medium, Blogger, WordPress.com, etc. Are they actually as valuable as those sites' domains would lead you to believe when shown in tools like this?

Pros:

Easier to use than the average SEO tool which is far more complex.

Cons:

Nofollow or dofollow is inaccurate. HuffingtonPost, Wikipedia and even some comment links show up as dofollow.

Michael Schultz

It's easily the best user interface for a SEO tool on the market. And it's free. What else can you wish for? Only thing that was a bit annoying is the Services link that 1) throws you into a different UI and 2) loads a survey on top of everything. The "Services" and other top links should probably just open a new tab, indicating that you're now surfing on the consulting page and not using the tool anymore. But it's a minor thing.

Pros:

Very easy to use interface. Landing page offers a lot of languages and explains the product well.

Cons:

None, considering you know what you're doing.

Michael Schultz
From my perspective as a guy that needs to do SEO from time to time: Super impressive. From my perspective as a UI/UX designer: Super impressive, too. In the SEO world, ease of use and beautification should not be underestimated.

@filterfreak thanks! we focus heavily on design

Backlinks has similar functionalities to ahrefs and Majestic SEO, basically allow you to review and analyze your backlinks portfolio (and your competitors as well) and it also helps you search for good linkage opportunities. Whats good about it is that it's free and very very simple to use (like Ubersuggest), so in other words in very easy to use.

Pros:

Its a very robust platform, easy to use and most importantly free!

Cons:

extremely sophisticated reporting are still in development.

Anfernee Chansamooth

Presented a tonne of useful results that I can use as part of my linkbuilding and outreach process. csv export handy.

Pros:

Quick and easy to use. Great UX

Cons:

maybe link to some training on what I can do with this data? :)

Aaand another one of the incredibly useful tools by Neil that help me in my day-to-day job. Thanks, Neil for putting in the work! I have also sent you a PM with another question. :-)
Asaf Fybish
I love your "free to all" approach. Giving away great tools for free are the best marketing move you can do for your company. Other than creating and releasing great tools for our community, Neil is setting up an example to all of us on how WOM marketing is really done. Thanks Neil, keep up with the great work you are doing !
Joy Healey

That's a minor gripe, and how can I complain about something free? Thanks Neil for another great tool.

Pros:

It's easy to use and intuitive. Well laid our report. And it's free!

Cons:

Could maybe explain about the drop-down box for domain etc.

Yuval
Good one! In the last year, I'm using ahrefs for backlinks research and ubersuggest for keyword research (Mainly because of the easy to use UX of ubersuggest) This new backlinks tool is just awesome!! Definitely gonna bookmark this one. In the future, it will be cool to see features like Traffic value and referring domains graph history.
Neil Patel
@yuval_halevi working on both of those for the next version
Peter Askew

During my first search, the system presented several false positives on no-followed links. No doubt this tool has promise, but it still needs some work.

Pros:

Well designed.

Cons:

A few false positives on no-followed links showing up.

gerardcompte

Its going ti change my life

Pros:

Just amazing ! SΓΊper helpfull

Cons:

Non, for now

Despite the fact that Ubersuggest it's not yet at the level of Ahrefs or SEMRush, I truly look forward with admiration and curiosity to the effort that Neil is pouring for giving away such advanced tools for free. I would have loved to have a tool like Ubersuggest for free when I was just starting outl, and I appreciate that more and more people will benefit from its features without having to spend at least 99 bucks a month πŸ™‚ Thanks, Neil!
Asaf Fybish

I tried it on my website, and the results are similar to the SEO tool I'm paying 99$/month for Clean and beautiful design. Insanely practical tool.

Pros:

Great tool that you can use for free!

Cons:

Reporting is still under development.

Ubersuggest is just so much more valuable! Really useful for a startup with limited marketing budgets such as www.orgzit.com
Neil Patel
@nitinv8 that's my goal. I want startups to be able to compete without spending money.
