This sounds awesome, and so refreshing to see a product that is also focused on the founders themselves.
The 1% principle reminds me of the marginal gains that Sir Clive Woodward attributes to England's rugby world cup success in 2003 - do a hundred things 1% better rather than searching for 'one unlikely massive idea'.
