Great tool, lovely project. It seems like there is quite a lot of growing competition for applications that help translate data into images and digestible information. How does Blue Cat stand out compared to its competitors?
Hey @jordan_westerman :) We (I believe) are the only reporting tool for Trello which allows you to create just the charts you want then Drag and Drop them to arrange the reports just how you want them.
There may be some options which offer a lot more configurability but usually that comes with a lot of cost in terms of ease of use. We have worked hard to make things really easy to set up without limiting the capabilities people need.
There are also other options which provide more specialist charts we don't offer (ie one of our other power-ups Corrello has Cycle Time and CFD charts for Agile Teams). The aim with Blue Cat Reports was to build the reporting tool 90% of Trello teams were looking for, and build it in a way they could get what they needed, displayed how they wanted it as fast as possible.
Interesting tool. I think Blue cat reports fits the perfect functionality and price for solo trello users like me. I would love to have more charts like CFD and cycle time as well. Probably you can consider it in future.
Thanks @hrishikesh_karekar We are actually staying away from things like CFDs and Cycle Time as we already have those in our sister product Corrello https://trello.com/power-ups/568...
The idea is to make Corrello really great for those agile teams which need that sort of reporting without adding too much else to confuse the experience. And keep Blue Cat Reports delivering for those other teams with less technical requirements.
Hopefully we are making the correct choice, maybe one day we'll have to bring the two together somehow!
I have been a Trello users for years now and it is always be odd to me the "missing" features you encounter. I went looking for an easy to use reporting package via the Power-Up board and tried out Blue Cat. I couldn't be happier. Very simple and intuitive graph and chart generator for all your Trello boards via a very neat wizard. Lots of enhancements have been coming out almost like they were reading my mind.
Huge feature is being able to get to those pesky custom fields and be able to filter and report on them
TL;DR - economical must have Power-Up for Trello
