@nicole_tj it would be super useful when my friends and I were planning our trip to Budapest a few months ago. But well, we are going to plan our next trip soon🛫 Will share my feedback:)
@oksana_ch ooh nice! Sounds like you're always having another trip up your sleeve! If you have recommendations you'd like to share from your Budapest trip, you could use Moodboards for that too and feature them in our community page!

I was looking for just this tool to create a destination guide! can you link a domain to a map? If you share a map is there a way to let others make it their own but not effect the master copy?
@simon_s_j oooh wonderful to hear that! Many people user it to plan their own trips, but another use case is definitely to collect recommendations to share with other people too. Right now you can share the link with anyone - what you mention about letting others make it their own sounds like allowing them to create a copy of the whole moodboard for themsleves (with places saved in there already), then allowing them to add or delete additional places - is that right?
If so, it's an idea in consideration!
@nicole_tj Hi Nicole, yes, a copy is what I am thinking. I would however like if they make a copy that there were some elements they cannot remove from the board....like certain information I share that I don't want edited.....is that possible? And for my question about domain mapping....is that possible right now or road mapped presently or not?
Proud to launch Travis Together to more travelers around the world today! 🚀
As someone who’s spent far too long saving travel inspo on Insta and Pinterest, fiddling with long whatsapp chats to plan group trips, stashing ‘notes to self’ and pinning google maps - this visual, collaborative Moodboards tool is something I truly hope will help more travelers around the world bring trips to life, with more fun and less fuss!
Are you dreaming up a trip? Try it out, ask for tips, or share what you think! We’d love to hear from you 👋
Hey everyone! Sylvain here, CTO at Travis 👋
I’ve been working on Travis since its early days, trying to architect and build the best possible experience for our users.
Super proud to be launching this new version of our product today. I hope you’ll find Travis valuable for your next Travel plans!
Feel free to ask me questions about our stack or technical approach.
The product looks cool. I've never planned this meticulously. Would love to hear what kind of trips do people need or do planning on? I've always kind of just decided the city and stay, and then did whatever we felt like there.
@abhishek1846 you must be one of the more 'go with the flow' travelers we find! We find that people use Travis Moodboards for anything from 3 day to 2 week trips. It's less detailed that plugging in activities to specific time slots, but still has fun, visual tools to search and save places, tag them by city or days for example - and share with friends in real time!
Traveling is important for me. I remembered my Erasmus+ time, it was really hard to manage my calender for travel. I wish you launced this tool before :) It's really cool tool for travellers. Congrats on your launch!
@huseyin_kara indeed! Traveling's become so ingrained as part of our lives and I'm so glad that we're able to travel again. When you have an upcoming trip, hope Travis Moodboards can help you out! Love to hear feedback from using it!
Planning group trips is SUCH a pain, and I'm always stuck doing it 😤. So excited to try Travis out. It looks like a beautiful product, and I love the Figma-like feel with collaboration. Congrats on the launch today and best of luck with continued growth @thomas_lo1 👏🚀💯
@hugh_lagrotteria looks like you're the lucky designated planner we're designing for! Hopefully this gives your mates a fun way to get involved too - or for you to make it view only and share with them :P thanks so much for your support! Welcome your feedback once you've had a chance to use it!
Congrats on the launch! I've been following Travis since the beginning and continue to be blown away by all the amazing work @nicole_tj, @thomas_lo1 and team has achieved. Can't wait to plan my next trip on this! 🥳
@dilan_lacin thank you! I'm glad to hear that. We had fun designing and building it. Where do your upcoming trips take you? Love to hear how you go using travis Moodboards and any feedback!
Thanks for your support @adrien_bettini, looks like you'll have to plan a trip to Australia indeed!
Places data on Travis is coming from both User-Generated Content published by our users and Foursquare Places POI data. We also use Google Places data and HERE data to enrich some of the results!
LOVE! I work in travel running small group tours in Italy and am really excited to see how this tool could be used to help us plan our tours and share information with our guests in a visual way. Are there/will there be opportunities to create moodboards for only paying guests on tours? Or opportunities to monetise boards (eg sell your moodboard as a package) which would be valuable for travel bloggers too?
@liv_windsor oh that would be such a great use case! And a visual way to share the trips to get your guests excited before hand. If you get the chance, love to hear if the free version of the Moodboards is helpful for your tours as a starting point too.
Haha just as I was feeling the pain of trying to plan my trip to Turkey in excel, I find this!
I can't wait to give this a try guys—such a no-brainer. Great work!
Loving this 😍 the tags are a stand out for me, really great way to show friends what recommendations are for where. So I can share my board link with anyone and they can jump straight in and start adding places?
@franklyclare I'm glad to hear the tags are working well! They're a useful little feature that make it super flexible on different moodboards. Yes, share the link and anyone can jump right in to start adding places (as long as you leave it fully editable) - or chatting with you!
this looks cool! Like pinterest on steroids but also extremely useful...to send to the friend in our group who loves planning :D
are there ways to get people you've shared it to vote on where they want to go?
@vincent_leung1 hahaha - it sounds like that friends in the group is always doing the planning. In this case, you might be able to help out too by adding suggestions to the board - even if they're organising it all :)
Voting - great suggestion! Not at the moment. But you could use the tags to categorise the places by 'must go' vs 'ideas' - for example.
This is such a cool app! Is the tool I always wanted to finally plan my travels! Love the moodboards and collaboration! Question, how do add a place that I can't find?
Can't wait to try this for a trip to Japan we're planning for next year. We're coordinating friends from Melbourne, Portland OR and SF so this will be GREAT!
@mozzy_moz Thanks mate! The collaboration is specially fun when you're on the ideation stage, we've also seen people crowdsourcing ideas with Moodboards publicly. So anyone can add their ideas onto the board without even signing up. Love to hear what you think
@j_aperitif Absolutely! You can crowdsource ideas for your Moodboard simply by sharing the link and making sure it's editable. Anyone who has the link will be able to add their places onto the board anonymously! Do share with us if you do start one :)
