@ath thanks Athan! Give it a whirl, love to hear your feedback :)
Joel Inteman
Great job Nicole! Travis looks amazing. Can't wait to use this on our next trip!
Nicole Tj
@joelinteman Thank you Joel! Where are you headed for your next trip? Love to hear how Travis can be 10x more useful for you on that trip, too!

First of all, I liked the presentation very much. 😍 The site design is also pretty sweet. The idea was very interesting. Your membership system was very creative. I stole the design of your membership system. 😂😂 Note taken. 😁 The gradient transition and big keys in that menu are also very impressive. Design, soo good! And your name keep on getting "Travis Scott" 😃 I became a member, I'm waiting for confirmation. 🤗
Thomas Lo
@ugur2nd Thanks for all the amazing feedback and glad you liked the design so much! 😆 We didn't name Travis based on Travis Scott 😏, promise.
Nikolay Siabrenko
Cool product, currently this works only in Australia? Do you have any suggestions for solo travellers or connect solo travellers to travel together?
Nicole Tj
@nikolay_siabrenko thank you for checking Travis out! The web app works anywhere in the world but yes, we’ve focused our early community in Australia, and you’ll see most guides shared for Australia right now. In a couple of weeks we should have an update that will help with discovering key places to visit across cities around the world much better. And no specifics for solo travellers yet - but we’d love to introduce a way for shared interest communities to better connect and interact on Travis too. Love to hear what you’d love to see?
Nikolay Siabrenko
@nicole_tj Maybe something where you can find small group of people with whom you can travel. For example - if you travel alone you pay for hotel 100$, if you travel with +1 you pay 110$ for all, it's more cheaper travel together.
Nicole Tj
@nikolay_siabrenko ah I like that idea :) have you already done this in some other way?

Clever product and well presented!
Thomas Lo
@gcucci Thank you for taking the time to explore Travis!

The scenario Nicole describes above is exactly why I have found Travis so compelling. A centralised place to organise your travels. It is rare to see a beta launch with the product/design flair that Travis has pulled off. I'll continue to use Travis to plan my travels and to share stories from along the way. Can't wait to see how Travis develops as the community grows.
Nicole Tj
@edoardo_neerhut thank you for appreciating the product and design work so far! Much to do to keep building on this.. especially as we are seeing domestic travel return in many parts of the world now. Curious to know where your next trip might be?
Ruben Wolff
Ouch, seeing this coming to life while travelling freely isn't possible yet kinda hurts, but also builds more excitement for the times to come! The idea looks pretty interesting, but I'm not sure I understood how it exactly works, and how it would make me get rid of the spreadsheets and plan everything from this one place. Could you please help me understand? Anyway, good work team!
Sylvain (:seel-vahn)
@rubenwolff Thanks for showing interest in what we are doing Ruben! Appreciate your reflection on this. Indeed, travelling freely isn’t yet possible in all parts of the world. Australia is quite lucky in that regard, which is also why we’ve focused our early community in Australia up until now. That being said, we believe now is the right time to start re-building around Travel and we plan on expanding rapidly to other parts of the worlds. In fact, in a couple of weeks, we should have an update that will help with discovering key places to visit across cities around the world much better. To answer your question - On Travis, moodboards are at the core of trip planning. Right now, you can already save places from other peoples’ stories, organise things across multiple moodboards and see everything on a map. You can also share the moodboards you’ve created with your friends (example: https://travistrav.is/moodboard/...). This is still very much a work in progress - though we see moodboards evolving towards more flexible views, allowing you to really "plan" trips your way. This might include the ability to organise the places within your moodboards by day (similar to a calendar view), invite friends to collaborate as a group, but also add external links/notes to your board. Hoping this answer your question and makes you want to explore more!

Diana Zaitseva
Cool video presentation)) Love it! Thanks :) Good luck!
Thomas Lo
@diana_zaitceva Glad you liked it! We love some good memes too.
Benoit Chambon
Hey guys! Love your motion, it's awesome ;) Just wondering what can difference you from Instagram? Thanks :)
Thomas Lo
@benoit_chambon Thanks Benoit! Had fun creating this video, hope it was fairly entertaining! Insta does an incredible job of having probably the most user-generated travel content out there right now. But what it doesn’t have is the ability to help people actually take the next steps to bring a future trip to life - things like seeing multiple saved places in a map, location data, routing, planning and collab functionality. That’s where we see the opportunity to maximise the value of great, user-generated travel content, with functionality for travel planning. Love to hear your feedback on our beta so far 🙂

[Note: All Product Hunt users skip the waitlist with the EXACT code “PRODUCTHUNT” in the first 48 hours.] 👋 Hello Product Hunt! I’m Nicole, one of the co-founders of Travis (www.travistravis.co), from Melbourne, Australia! Thank you @chrismessina for hunting us 🙏 So - the idea for Travis came along pre-COVID. Tom and I would travel a few times a year. We LOVED discovering “that new place” and “that new city”, and planned all of our trips on our own. Then came one midnight, I was on the floor, with 42 Google tabs, Insta screenshots, Google maps, spreadsheets around me - just to bring yet another trip to life - and that was when the ‘What if?’ moment struck. Once we started speaking with all our friends - and beyond - we realised we weren’t the only ones who were crying out loud for a simpler, central digital solution to make travel much, much easier. Fast forward to now, we’ve evolved countless times, navigated COVID, and now we’re excited to open our beta doors to you guys on Product Hunt. 🚀 Think of Travis like Pinterest, built especially for travel. We believe in a future where we can unlock the collective knowledge and diverse experiences of travellers - as trusted stories and guides to inspire others in the community. We also believe that the potential value of these stories can only be fully realised, when paired by with the right tools and functionality to help travellers bring their travel plans to life. 🚀 Travis is now a work in progress - to achieving this future vision in a simple platform. Today, you can: 1. Share your own stories - help others discover your local gems, weekend escapes, and future trips near and far 2. Discover 1000s of unique places - simply start scrolling, follow others to build your own feed, or search for a city. 3. Curate moodboards - hit the heart to keep your travel ideas organised in a single visual hub, and see it all on a map! 4. And as expected.. a huge product backlog. 👉 So, hop on, and give Travis a go! I’d love to hear what you love, how you think it could be even better, and any questions. Feel free to say hi directly at nicole@travistravis.co - or drop any of our team a direct message, too!

@chrismessina @travistravis @eugenehp thank you Eugene! Love to hear your feedback :)

Was part of the beta testing for Travis. I love that I can browse visual stories for travel inspiration, and easily toggle into map mode to see location info. The colorful interface and playful layout make me excited to explore too. I'll be using this to plan out my next trip, but in the meantime, I've used it to discover some local gems already!
Sylvain (:seel-vahn)
Thanks @eastina_zhang, this is awesome to hear!! Happy to have you on as part of the Beta!

Tom here! I’m co-founder of Travis 😊 I used to design homes and buildings. Now I design digital experiences. Thank you all for your support for our first steps on Product Hunt! We often get asked - “What’s behind the name Travis?” Well, it’s based on the open-ended statement of “Travel is…” - as we believe that travel means so many different things, to so many people. We’re a small and mighty team of 3, and despite all the obvious COVID challenges, it’s been a joy designing for the future of travel that we believe in - and we see that so many travellers are waiting for! From a user perspective, we’ve aimed to balance a couple of things: Providing a hub which is both aspirational and functional - by allowing travellers to inspire other travellers, and giving the tools to keep the experience in one place! Providing a platform which has room to be flexible in handling different travelling scenarios - whether you’re purely in inspo saving mode, ready-to-plan mode, or travelling with a group. This will continue to grow over time. I’d love for you to test out Travis, and open to your feedback to help take this to the next level. I’m also always up for hearing out your current travel rants 😉 Btw - it might take up to 15 minutes for you guys to receive your email once you’ve signed up today! Thanks for being patient!

I’m a French Technologist who moved to Australia 7 years ago. Travel and technology are the core of who I am. I’ve travelled quite a bit, been exposed to lots of different cultures and mindsets, and most importantly for my role at Travis - I’ve always loved building products that touch on both creativity and diversity. Very excited to be part of this journey with a team of smart and open-minded people, trying to bring human connection and travel inspiration together! I hope you’ll enjoy using Travis as much as I’ve enjoyed building it. We already have lots of ideas to bring our product to its mature state. But would love to hear if any suggestions, feedback or questions!
Sylvain (:seel-vahn)
@nikolasburk Thanks for your support Nikolas!

I’ve loved watching Travis come to life and was lucky to glimpse behind the scenes while helping the team during the very early stages. After max-ing out my Google Maps with too many starred places, and waayy too many lost screenshots of places I read about.. I’d always dreamed of a tool that could bring it all together, BUT one that was also ridiculously good looking 😉 - Travis is both and I’m so excited with it’s potential - there’s so much more to come and I truly believe it has the right team behind it!
Thomas Lo
@franklyclare Thanks for all your support and enthusiasm since the beginning Clare! You've kept us going strong through the tough times. We just want to build the one product that we have all been dreaming of!
Nicole Tj
@franklyclare ridiculously good looking is a good goal to have ;) thank you for keeping us going!
Solène CATHALAN
I've been part of the beta since the beginning and what can I say apart: I enjoy Travis a lot! It's super practical for planning your next holidays' trips, as you get access to any information from people who love travelling too :) But what I love the most is creating my own stories, and showcasing the best of my travels to a community that is thirsty for new adventures and experiences! Since I've joined Travis, I've published 6 stories, and I'm polishing the seventh one up to be live soon :D You're completely free in the way you tell your stories, so free your imagination and go have fun writing your own voyages! ;) P.S: if you want to see my stories, it's over here 👉 https://travistrav.is/me/salandora See you soon! ;)
Nicole Tj
@salandora I LOVE your travel stories around Australia - I've discovered so much that I never knew, or experienced before. Thank you for sharing and inspiring the community!
Etel Sverdlov
Count wait to use this to plan my upcoming road trip!
