As someone who loves to travel but hates all the planning that comes with it, this is super exciting. Love this and can’t wait to use it for my next trip -- congrats, @gavindelany and team!
Gavin Delany
@benln Thank you for hunting Stride's new TripFinder! We're excited to share it with the world, and help travelers experience more of the world, easier than ever.

Looks really good!

I like your product. But I would prefer an easy way to ask a question like: “I’d like to take a family vacation in South Africa, but nothing too luxurious” and get results. Is it something that is possible to do using your technology?
Gavin Delany
@emikil Thanks Emanuel. Stride does not currently support "semantic search" which is what I think you are asking for. That would indeed be cool and its certainly possible. We will be testing it in near future but part of the tricky part is balancing that type of search experience with most people who are not used to it vs 'traditional search and filters'. Would you be interested in joining our beta testing group for that feature?
Steven Benson
Looks Like Kayak but for for the things you do. This seems to have the potential to save time and marriages. ;) Clean interface, pretty impressive number of trips available.
Samantha Scott
@stevebenson Thanks for the great feedback!

Had the same issue when going to hike Inca Trail in Peru 4 year ago! This is super helpful and way way better experience than googling through 100s of local agencies/companies with no idea what to expect upon arrival! Good job Stride! New feature is great!

I also like how I can filter by pace - whether I want a relaxed vacation or a fast paced trip where I don't miss a single highlight.

Pros:

Easy to use, helpful for finding new destinations + great to get a variety of itineraries that show the highlights & lesser known places.

Cons:

Not for single day trips, but if you want to go on a multi-day, experiential trip this is the place to look!

If you just need a hotel, this is not for you. If you seeking a full experience, this will save you a ton of time (and money)

Pros:

Easy interface with kayak like functionality to find complete tours.

Cons:

none

I like the prod, interface is great. I'd allow for multiple option selections... (e.g., what if you want adventure AND homestay? Currently, it's either or.)

@mkovacev Sometimes it's very difficult to find the right parameter for each traveler. We defined the standard for the industry making the selection as simple as possible and bringing quality results to all our customers.
Gavin Delany
@mkovacev its a good request and one we considered carefully. We aim to balance the best user experience without confusing 'typical' users and still providing power users more flexibility. Its a challenge given the way different operators describe their trips in the short term and our tagging accuracy but stay tuned in future as we'll certainly bringing more customization to the search/matching process.

The definition of vacation is being care-free...Stride can take you on the trip of a lifetime all in one place without the hassle of being your own travel agent.

Pros:

Stride lets you live in the moment and forget the nightmares of trip logistics - easy to use with amazing experiences around the world!

Cons:

None

I travel often, and these seems to be packaged well! When I'm choosing a small group to travel with, am I matched with people my age to travel with? Or is it random? Also - why are some options not available and in gray when I'm personalizing my trip?
Samantha Scott
@alexandra_velasquez Hi Alexandra, thanks for your question! If you choose an age range on the "who is traveling" question, TripFinder will try and match you with trips catering to that age group. Depending on the tour company though, you may still be traveling with a wide range of ages. A greyed out option indicates that due to the criteria you previously entered, there are no trips with both those criteria and the greyed out option. To see more options, we recommend selecting fewer filters.
maggienoodle98
Wow this looks so cool! I see that there are 87 suggested trips. How do I know which one is the best fit for me? How do you decipher that the top 3 suggested are better than the other 87?
Samantha Scott
@maggienoodle98 Thanks for your question! The Top 3 choices are determined based on the trips that most closely match the criteria you enter. If they don't seem quite right, you can select "see all matching trips" for a wider range, but still taking your top criteria into account.

Kalyan Tulachan
Used it to find a trip for Spain, and I see "94 matches" - looks like there are a lot of great options. I see some trips with a "Preferred" tag, are those trips you recommend?
Samantha Scott
@kalyan_tulachan1 Hi Kalyan, thanks for your question! Our preferred and premier badges are status categories that Stride has created to help users sort quickly through known and reliable travel companies. They are awarded to companies with a 4.0 rating or higher, fair transparent pricing, high safety standards, creative and helpful itinerary design.
Gavin Delany
@kalyan_tulachan1 thanks and good question. Also to add to Samanthas comment... just because a trip or operator does not have the Preferred ( or 'Premier', the highest) doesnt necessarily mean its not great. It may just mean we dont have enough reviews yet for that company or that our team has not yet investigated and verified the other quality measures we look at. But any trips that have the badge you can be extra confident with that they are a tried and true reputable company with excellent customer service.

Such a great tool for getting to where you want to go faster and in a more personalized manner.

@michelle_peters Thank you for your feedback
Gavin Delany
@michelle_peters Thanks so glad you found it useful.

Exactly what the travel industry needs right now. Most people don't have time to search for every little thing they want to do in a city. Stride is the perfect partner to offer a full experience that lets you immerse in the local culture.
Samantha Scott
@vishal_amin Thanks for the great feedback - so glad to hear you like using TripFinder for finding experiential travel packages!
Gavin Delany
@vishal_amin so glad it resonates with you!
Hanna Bobrowicz
Can I find trips that safe for female solo travelers?
Samantha Scott
@jim22_ Hi Hannah, thanks for your question! Yes, there's a few different options. You can search for "solo friendly" tours - these are typically group tours as opposed to self guided - so you'll be with a guide and fellow travelers. We also have some tours that are women only. You can search for "women only" in the search bar from the home page :)
Gavin Delany
@jim22_ I'd like to add to Samantha's response which is completely correct. Also keep in mind pretty much any trip listed on Stride as Type: Group, Small Group, Cruise, or Private Guided will be SAFE for a solo female traveler. Most of the Self guided or Independent trip packages would also be considered safe for a solo female depending on your level of experience traveling internationally. Thanks for trying it out!
