todai is your personal AI guide for mental clarity and emotional balance.
Track your mood, uncover patterns, and get science-based tools
— anytime, anywhere.
Hey everyone — I’m Gosha, I run operations at todai.
A year ago, we started todai with a simple question:
What if self-reflection was less vague — and actually actionable?
Most tools we tried were either:
– too shallow (“How do you feel today?”)
– too clinical
– or too focused on productivity over perspective
So we built todai as a daily AI companion that helps you think clearly, especially when your inner noise gets loud.
At the core of todai is something we call the Happy Lifestyle Index — a simple way to track where your emotional energy is going, and what you can adjust to feel better, not just do more.
Here’s what you can do inside the app:
✅ Start a daily check-in — write or voice
✅ Get feedback from AI on what’s behind your state
✅ Use tools like “Reframe” and “Reset” to shift mindset
✅ Track changes over time via your personal HLI
✅ Reflect on decisions, patterns, emotional triggers
✅ Build a habit of mental clarity (without writing essays)
It’s built for moments when everything feels urgent and important — but you need help cutting through the noise and focusing on just one thing that truly matters.
Or those end-of-day spirals where it feels like “nothing got done” — todai helps you spot real wins and reframe effort as progress, not failure.
Our approach isn’t just another AI wrapper on top of journaling. The core methodology behind todai was developed in collaboration with a psychology faculty member — an associate professor with deep expertise in self-reflection and emotional regulation. Together, we designed a structured system that helps users move from vague feelings to concrete insight, without needing to be “in therapy mode.” It’s built to be practical, respectful, and grounded in real psychological frameworks.
We’re not trying to replace therapists or optimize your life into a system.
We just want to give a space where they you pause, think, and refocus.
Appreciate you checking it out — happy to answer anything here.
Let us know what resonates (or doesn’t). We're listening.
@goshatirov Cool! The Happy Lifestyle Index is such a clever way to track emotional energy—definitely something I wish I had when I was juggling multiple projects. Congrats!
I love the fact that you worked with an actual psychology expert to build this and have set clear parameters to define the "Happy Lifestyle Index" which clearly sets you apart from other apps.
This is also probably the first AI self-help app that I feel can easily integrate into our routine.
I've been using Todai for a few days now, and I'm really impressed✨. It’s already helped me gain more mental clarity and spot small wins I would’ve missed—highly recommend! Great work🚀 Wishing you all the best 🍀
@maria_anosova you were among the first who've tested the app, and you comments were valuable for our future roadmap. Will be interesting to hear about your progress in a week or so.
@jaredl Thanks so much! That collaboration really shaped the heart of how todai works.
Right now, our core methodology is stable — but we’re actively reviewing new research with our academic advisor each quarter. We treat the system like a living framework: grounded in established psychology, but open to updates as we learn more from both users and science.
Jumped into todai’s beta this morning, first impression: it feels more like a friendly coach than another mood-tracker checkbox. 🙏🏻
A couple quick thoughts:
Trigger → tool pairing: Love that todai surfaces a micro-exercise when stress spikes. Any chance of tailoring those nudges to user-picked themes (e.g., workouts vs. journaling)?
Patterns over streaks: Weekly email that highlights “your calmest hour” or “biggest energy dip” could turn raw logs into aha moments…and keep retention high.
Integration wishlist: Apple Health and Google Calendar sync would let the AI cross-check sleep or meeting load before suggesting fixes.
In any case, congrats on shipping something that treats mental clarity like a system, not a band-aid.
@gianmaria_caltagirone This is such thoughtful feedback — thank you for taking the time to explore it deeply 🙏🏻
We love that you described todai as a “friendly coach” — that’s exactly the energy we’re aiming for.
Re: your suggestions:
– Trigger → tool pairing: yes, we’re already prototyping more personalized nudges based on user preferences and patterns. Think mood-aware micro-routines, not one-size-fits-all prompts.
– Patterns over streaks: this is gold. A calmest-hour insight or low-energy pattern = meaningful, personal, and actionable. Noted.
– Integrations: Apple Health and Calendar sync are on our radar — especially for cross-checking effort/load before suggesting resets. You’re reading our minds.
Thanks again for the insight — comments like this really help us evolve todai in the right direction. Would love to hear how it feels after a week or two of use!
Just loved the intentionality behind todai. Out of curiosity — how do you balance between helpful AI suggestions and not overwhelming the user with too much interpretation or “fix-it” advice?
That balance you mention is exactly what we obsess over.
We believe clarity > control. So instead of trying to "fix" things, todai helps users see what’s going on — emotional patterns, blind spots, needs — and offers gentle prompts or reflections, not prescriptions.
Our AI is trained to support self-awareness, not override it.
Because sometimes, what you really need isn’t a solution — it’s the right question at the right time.
Huge congrats on the launch, Gosha and the team! As a PM, I truly appreciate the balance you've achieved between emotional insight and usability. Todai doesn’t seem like just another “productivity hack”, but rather a space to think. Eager to see where this leads!
@michael_vavilov Thank you so much — really appreciate that, especially coming from a fellow PM!
We worked hard to make todai feel less like a “tool to optimize” and more like a space to actually hear yourself think. Excited to keep evolving it — and would love to hear how it lands for you if you give it a spin.
@aftabulsamudro We really wanted to make reflection doable, not just thoughtful — and the HLI has been a key piece of that. Excited to keep building and evolving todai from here — more to come soon.
@stas14 I think the main barrier to use therapy apps was the difficulty of typing and telling. Voice should radically change the market. We spent 10 months to develop a calculation method of happiness index
This is probably the need of the hour. The pace in which everything around us moves today is something we are experiencing for the first time as humans and it's very important to sustain mental clarity. Thanks for bringing this to the world!
I'm truly pleased that AI is not only enhancing productivity tools but also helping more people with their mental health! That's fantastic, and I wish you the best of luck with your product launch 🙌
@tachikomaghost Thank you so much! That balance — between utility and emotional depth — is exactly what we’re aiming for. If AI can help people slow down, reflect, and feel a bit more grounded day to day — we’re on the right track. Appreciate the kind words!
@aeromaniax Thank you — glad the actionable side resonates!
Right now, we’re using a blend of GPT with our own prompting system and context layering on top — basically shaping how it listens, responds, and adapts to emotional nuance.
At this stage, the model isn’t changeable by users, but we’re definitely exploring ways to let people tune the “tone” or depth of interaction in the future (e.g. more coach-like vs. more reflective).

todai
@victoria_wu Thank you! That means a lot.
The HLI really came from that exact feeling — juggling too much, losing track of how you actually feel underneath it all.
Glad it resonates — hope it helps others stay a little more grounded too.

Todai's collaboration with psychology experts is impressive! 📚 How often do you update the methodologies based on new psychological research?

Congrats on your launch :)
I hope I can find out more about myself.
Also the naming was really clever 😁

@pritraveler Thank you so much!

wow, this is going to be massive! The Happiness index feature and and voice messages will really help during everyday life

@pamela_arienti Thank you! 🙏
We’ve put a lot of heart into it — so hearing that means the world.
Appreciate the support.
todai
@ashutosh_raj Absolutely — you’ve captured the heart of why we built todai
We’re not wired for this level of noise and speed, and yet we’re expected to “just cope.”
Our goal is to offer a calm, intelligent space where people can reconnect with themselves — sustainably and without judgment.
Thank you so much for the kind words and support.
@goshatirov You're welcome! Happy to support good products which community can benefit from!
great product @goshatirov ! how much does it track on itself vs me having to put in data?
todai
@andrew_white_13 Thanks so much! 🙌
Great question — todai is designed to do the heavy lifting with you, not because of you.
The more you share (via journaling, check-ins, voice/text), the smarter it gets at spotting patterns and offering insights.
But even with minimal input, it can help you reflect through guided prompts and emotional cues — without overwhelming you.
Think of it as a conversation, not a spreadsheet 🙂
