Hey everyone, also excited and definitely slightly anxious to make this happen!
We're trained to always keep poker faces on but launching something for the first time can be a scary thing, as you might know!
Our small team, consisting of 13 amazing human beings spread across 7 different time zones, worked incredibly hard for this day and we're proud to finally ship. Have a look!
If you like what you see, your upvote, share, or support in any other form is incredibly appreciated. Let's end meeting fatigue now π₯
If you have any questions about our team, our values, and our culture overall, I'm happy to answer all of them!
Thanks to everyone who made this happen! π
@raphael_allstadt@kirill_burkhanov hahahaha! Damn Kir, I thought you were a better Russian hacker than this! haha OMG I got two Russian hacker jokes in today! It's a good daaaayyyyy
I've been happily testing the product for quite some time. It's great to see how much it evolved, how carefully the team listens to their users and really cares to deliver value!
Great job, Team! I've saved dozens of hours of rewatching videos and taking notes thanks to you

This is amazing what's happening here!
I'm so glad to be part of the tl;dv team and what we have achieved since the beginning.
A tremendous thank you and respect to my partners and friends @raphael_allstadt & @carlo_thissen - Love you guys
And infinite thanks to all of you, family, friends, team supporters & haters for your feedbacks & ideas ! It has been a crazy journey - and it's only the beginning!
Congratulations on the launch tldv.io! All the energy @raphael_allstadt and team!
Long live to TLDV and short live to TOO LONG MEETINGS WITH PEOPLE THAT DON'T NEED TO BE THERE! :)
We are using tl;dv in the eco.com crypto community to run governance meetings. These are important meetings for many members, but we all are in different time zones which makes it impossible to please everyone at the time of the meeting.
But thanks to you guys, many members have been able to catch up on important stuff and save time by just jumping to the part of the meeting which is relevant to them.
On the other side it's also have been a huge time saver, just being able to time tag live during the meetings and not to have to spend hours after the meeting to wrap up important points.
The fact that you can have your recording made public another essential feature for us.
Here's an example of one of our last meetings:
( 50 min long... but anyone can understand what happens there in less than 5 min thanks to tl;dv magics! )
https://tldv.io/app/meetings/60c...
In our cases, as the community is cosmopolite, transcribe is a huge game-changer too. That would be awesome to have an export button for this one, so we can translate it easily for sub-language communities. Do you guys think that would be possible to have such an extra feature ?
Keep the good work guys!
@jeremie_olivier
First, thank you for using, trusting, and supporting tl;dv. It's cool to see our product to be used exactly the problems we are trying to solve!
On top of that, I'm super glad you are using it inside the eco.com community that looks so interesting! I don't know it yet really well - but from what I've seen already, I really love this community.
Now - regarding your question about exporting transcripts into other languages: it's actually a super cool idea, we love it!
First, we are planning to jump on the 2nd iteration of our Transcription service to enable us to support multiple languages. Then, we could work on this feature if it's also requested from other users.
You can have a look in here https://tldv.canny.io/feature-re... to to submit and follow your request :)
This is our baby! I'm really really proud of what we are building here, and to be a part of it π It's a pleasure to be working with such open minded, motivated, excellent professionals. Long live tl;dv!
This is amazing guys! Video is awesome and the product is fantastic. How do you guys deal with personal privacy? Before I use recording, do other attendees get some kind of notification that meeting is recorded and they approve it?
@alexey_nikityuk Alexey, we take GDPR very serious. Indeed, if you add tl;dv from the calendar, all attendees will receive a heads-up prior to the meeting. We highly encourage that. We are also posting a message in the chat to inform every participant that the meeting is recorded, and by whom. we are planning to double-down much more on GDPR and privacy in the future releases. The roadmap is bright :)
@alexey_nikityuk Thanks Alexey, aaaand awesome question!
1. All attendees that are mentioned in the google meeting receive email with information that meeting will be recorded, info about tl;dv and features we have.
2. Whenever our bot is joining the meeting it writes a message probably with the same info about recordings, product, etc
3. We have several options to share the video by email or via the link.
4. By default the recording is closed for everyone except attendees from the proper event
In addition we deal not only with privacy but security also, we have several layers of encryption for different part of the system
Extremely proud of what we have built so far, but knowing how the team is working this days, im super excited for whats coming!. at tl;dv We all love our product, thats why its awesome!
Congrats @carlo_thissen & @raphael_allstadt on the launch. I've been a user and big fan of TLDV for 6+ months. I've used it with a couple of teams I've mentored, and have used it extensively for personal consulting work.
Any company looking to move to asynchronous communications should check out the tool. It's a great first step before going all-in on async. It's time for synchronous meetings to get async superpowers.
π£ BOOOOOOM! this is so needed! Thank you for creating such a sharp solution to a problem we, well, I guess all know way to well. π€
As we're mostly having meetings on zoom, I can't help but wonder if there is a way to link it to zoom meetings?
@christina_roitzheim soon! :) WeΒ΄re almost ready for it. Honestly, we used to support Zoom "a bit" in the past, but then we decided to focus on nailing beautiful Google Meet first, before expanding back to Zoom with full force. But weΒ΄re working full speed on it :)
