This is epic. Been hoping someone would do this one day. Way to take the lead. I have some questions (because of course I do): 1. What platforms were the communities hosted on that you studied? 2. Where are the community's membership primarily based geographically? 3. Are all of these communities free? Were any paid membership communities? Would be very interested to see the data broken out by free vs paid. 4. When you said "17% messages posted in communities are from new members" how are new members defined? 5. I'm confused by why WAUs are so much higher than MAUs. Shouldn't MAUs be higher? 6. What does "percentage of questions asked in the community" mean? And one request: I'd love to see the sample sizes for each data point. Sometimes there seem to be anomalies in the data (communities with 5k-10k members have lower MAU than 10k+) which I imagine might just be due to small sample size for that specific group.
