Cool project from Google combining Streetview with an audio to create a really immersive tour of Marseille. Like Detour, but for those who can't make it there in person.

We're getting closer to virtual city tours! Ingredients: Google NightWalk+ Oculus Rift + Virtuix Omni

So killer. @Detour in SF and Berlin in the last couple months has been an awesome way to get to know the city (https://www.producthunt.com/tech...). Experience like Nightwalk make me think about "getting to know city's I'm not going to", but also "getting to know a city ahead of time". I think taking this tour ahead of time would enhance the experience of actually traveling there. It gives you context and understanding when you arrive. It also might help you be able to navigate without a map. Thoughts?

My hometown :) Everytime I see it, I'm happy to see a presentation of Marseille who's not blindly bashing this wonderful city.

Google seriously do knock out some crazy innovative stuff once in a while! Their internal projects must be insane.
