We’re a trio of best friends who recently started building projects together. We love Notion, and believe automation is key to productivity.
We felt existing solutions are too hard to set up, and can get expensive quickly! We built the:gist to help make Notion more useful for important needs like tasks, CRM, and hiring.
How is the:gist different?
1. Do more: if you can write a formula for it, you can automate it (others don't monitor formulas!)
2. Keep it simple: no more elaborate scenarios/zaps.
3. Spend less: we only charge you per trigger (when something useful happens).

I've been using The:Gist for a couple of months now and it's a total game changer. Being able to trigger automations when a change is made to a page is such a key feature and I'm so glad that these guys have figured out how to do it. I've already created several automations like setting up email notifications, setting up recurring tasks, rescheduling overdue tasks and sending e-signature agreements, when a checkbox is ticked. Every Notion user should check out this service.

Congrats on the launch! the:gist is really powerful and opens a lot of interesting doors for what you can do with Notion. It’s been cool to watch how much dedication was put into gathering feedback from beta testers and shaping with product with it
This really feels like a notion product to me (and my team), rather than a 3rd party tool. I can honestly say that it has massively helped us to improve our communications throughout our team - because it helps us to automate much of the stuff that humans tend to forget to do.
I could not rate the:gist any more highly than I do.
Also, I have had such excellent interactions with @danpeguine and @eladmallel who has been waaaay more accommodating to our questions than he should have been.
If you love Notion as I do, then you should be using the:gist, in my humble opinion. It genuinely takes it to another level.

We use notion as a task list and project management tool and love the option to streamline key updates from there to other platforms such as Slack so we can natively communicate about them where our daily work happens.
The:gist has been the missing link in my automations. Everything runs so smoothly now.
It can also be quite addictive. I keep thinking of new ways to automate my system. I'm building things in Notion I wouldn't have thought could be done. The:gist makes the impossible possible.
Using The:Gist for a month so far. I’ve been able to automate aspects of my Notion workspaces. I love it. It’s so quick!
We've been implementing some of the notion automations from the gist over the past few weeks and it's already hugely helping remove manual tasks, and we've not even got started yet. The slack support from the team at the gist is great and also had several calls with Elad to get stuff up and running. Great product and customer service
Love this idea! I always struggle to figure out how to even get started creating new pages and sections on my notion and thing this app would be such a help!
What a great product @danpeguine . This is like the secret chemical X that takes Notion to a whole other level. And that is even after considering other automation apps like Zapier. Yes, I said it. the:gist definitely has the potential to oust Zapier for Notion automation! I can't wait to see what's next.
