Created to cut through the crap you've read or heard about Bitcoin. No “blockchain” or “crypto” here. It’s about what matters: Bitcoin.
As a concept, as a monetary phenomenon & as a new form of global, digital collaboration that's fair & robust in nature

Hey Guys, Aleks here: "Editor in Chief" at The Bitcoin Times (lol).. Some of you might know me from the work I've published on Bitcoin, whether via Medium, or HackerNoon, or from the work we're doing @ Amber to make Bitcoin more accessible. This is a side project, and one which I hope to build on over time, with my team, with the community, and with people who I consider brilliant minds in the space. The Bitcoin Times is designed to cut through all the bulls#*% you may have read or heard about Bitcoin…(there’s lots of it). It’s not about “blockchain”, nor is it about “crypto”. It’s about what matters. It’s dedicated to Bitcoin, as a concept, as a monetary phenomenon & as a new form of global, digital collaboration that is fair and robust in nature. I believe we've done a good job distilling a broadly complex concept into something digestible, so that more people know what the real innovation in this space is. We’ll be publishing 2 of these per year. It’s 100% free and created by the team at Amber for the sake of helping spread the right narrative. We hope you enjoy it. PS - if you did enjoy the read & agree that more people should hear about it; we’d love it if you upvoted us on Product Hunt and on Reddit + share it around with more people. Also. Crypto Mining Supplies
@timelessbitcoin @aleksandar_svetski Have just finished reading it. Wow.. I’ve been involved in mining bitcoin & a bunch of other currencies (Ethereum, monero, etc). I never actually understood how much more prevalent it is in Bitcoin & how those network effects multiply. This was supe educational. Question though. What’s your timeframe on Bitcoin becoming a dominant global network (or as you say: monetary operating system)? 5yrs? 10yrs? And what’s the best way to take advantage of Bitcoin during that time?
Aleks Svetski
@timelessbitcoin @crypto_mining_supplies Hey man, Thanks for the kind words. I think everyone underestimates Bitcoin's networks effects and it's short but very important history. I bought into the multi-coin idea for a while too, but as I delved further into what Bitcoin is, what it represents & the infrastructure build around it, I realized it's the only game in town. To answer your question re: 5yrs & 10yrs. Who knows. The longer the timeframe, the safe the bet with Bitcoin because it's Lindy compatible. If I were you, I'd be Stacking Sats as much as possible. You're welcome to use www.amber.app - it's the main project I'm working on, else do whatever you need to do to buy & hold more Bitcoin.

Have just started reading it & the different frame on blockchain is so good. Being in IT, I’ve never really understood what it’s all about - and this really shows why it’s been so fluffy. Bitcoin is so much more interesting than I thought. Really looking forward to reading the whole thing.
