Hi @christie_wragg, congrats on the launch! I'd love to hear how you compare with the other players in this field, like Twilio, MessageBird, Plivo, Nexmo etc?
Which are the eligible "accelerators, incubators and partner venture capital portfolio companies" that your startup offer applies to? I couldn't find a list on your site :)
Btw - really not encouraging to see 4 comments here (besides Christie's) are from Telnyx employees posing as users...
Hey @philip_kallberg
Thanks for your feedback! Check out a link to a Fact Sheet below with some details on how Telnyx compares with Twilio. We'd love to talk through how our network, pricing and features compare vs. the competition in more detail - contact me at christie@telnyx.com if you'd like to set that up.
The Telnyx for Startups program is designed for startups participating in accelerators, incubators and seed-stage venture funds. If that's you, just complete the details on the page and we'll get in touch.
Cheers,
Christie

Co-Founder/CEO here.
There's lot of stuff that makes us different, but fundamentally, we built something quite distinct from other players in that we are both the telco (on top of our own multi-cloud software stack) and API provider, allowing us to 1) pass substantial savings onto our customers 2) build products that others cannot.
For example, while our P2P SMS product costs substantially less than our competitors, it has better capabilities, as it's unique in that it's natively SMS capable rather than a landline number that has been overlayed with SMS. This means a) better deliverability b) 2-way international support c) the ability to send and receive shortcodes. This makes it the perfect solution for 2nd phone number apps, among other use cases in which a mobile number is being replaced.
Outside of differentiated capabilities and features, we offer unparalleled support -- 24/7 via chat (intercom on the bottom right), phone (+1.888.980.9750), or slack (https://joinslack.telnyx.com)
Re: the comments - I think the team is excited about our product hunt and is looking to seed conversations, but agreed that they should be doing so as makers. We'll fix it.
@contactdq@michael_bratschi@christie_wragg@ireither Signed up for this as a heavy user of Twilio. So many issues with this product and the team that I dont really know where to start:
1. The customer service is abysmal. They specifically tout this as a differentiator from Twilio but the internal intercom integration doesnt even work. First time ever I see a company failing intercom intergration.
2. Was charged for a phone number immediately upon registration. I was informed that this is a free number for "you to keep" but then it charged my account. Requested customer service help to which they replied: "You bought it". 30 minutes later(via email) and they refused to acknowledge this simple issue sticking to their answer.
3. Requested account verification to send international SMS(something done automatically at Twilio in less than 10 minutes) and a full day later my account is now blocked. Wow!
Dont waste your time with a sub par product and a horrible team. Stick with professionals at Twilio, Nexmo or Plivo.
@contactdq@michael_bratschi@christie_wragg@ireither@john_vonroth Hello John, sorry to hear that you had difficulty with the user experience. Hoping you can enlighten us more around (1) on why you think it doesn't work? (2) We provide customers with free credit and in certain use cases, depending on the sign up flow you choose, there may be a small deduction in your free credit. (3) I can't say why your email was blocked but I would appreciate it if you could contact us at support@telnyx.com so I can personally look to rectify all your concerns.
Thank you.
@contactdq@michael_bratschi@christie_wragg@ireither@john_vonroth@telnyx@telnyx_support I had similar situation. It seems to be cheaper than twilio but unfortunately it simply doesnt work for my international smses. I am getting charged for undelivered messages and delivery rate is simply 0 since yesterday I have been testing and trying to send sms to Turkey Georgia and Armenia and none is delivered despite being marked as successfull at the dashboard and me being charged for it.
I reached out to support team and their reply is simply theres nothing to do its a problem with those countries operators.
I am also a twilio user and never had any issues for a year now and delivery rate is nearly 100% and at least i can see undelivered messages on the dashboard.
@francoolaami Give it a whirl. We have invested heavily invested in international support, especially in the EU. I think you'll be pleased with the results you see. If you have any issues, hit up our 24/7 livechat support in the bottom right hand of the portal or call us.
We've been using Telnyx in production for a few months now. The entire team has been incredibly supportive and hands-on as we migrated from Twilio and improved our calling & SMS flows, leveraging the powerful modularity of the platform they've built out! This level of dedication to customers truly stands out among our vendors. Cheers to @contactdq and team on the launch!
I dont know about sending messages within us but international sms seems not to be working and I have spent already around 5 dollars I dont know about this company much but seems to every move is designed to take money without a proper service. I was trying to send sms to my georgian number and I receive success from the api but nothing gets delivered.
45 usd left from my first 50 usd credits with no sms being delivered :)
Hi @nikos_efthias1, sorry to hear that you're having issues sending to Georgia - please reach out to our NOC team in the portal via chat to see how we can help. I'll send you a $5 promo code once we resolve the problem.
@christie_wragg I was talking to support but seems theres nothing to do telnyx simply doesnt work for Georgia. 0delivery but funny thing is that on the panel the messages are marked as successful. I am using twilio for over a year now and delivery rate is simply 100% never heard any issues with sms from my clients in my app I will try for turkey and armenia tomorrow but im not hopefull about those countries as well

Great product! I noticed however, that your route to argon networks Germany (+4915678) is not working. It uses the same connections as sipgate Wireless does. Messages to sipgate Wireless work fine. Could you reroute this?
@percyc thanks for bringing this to our attention. Can you provide a messaging example to our support team so we can look into this further for you? Please send an email to support@telnyx.com
This is the strongest API for telephony. Carrier grade. And somehow they even follow up with me when I ask for support and I only have one DID with them right now. Their other customers probably have tens of thousands or more.
