Tappity is building the world’s largest library of interactive lessons for kids—starting with science. Find 100+ popular science topics taught by live-action characters who appear to magically interact with your kids in real time.
A very unique product in an exceptionally complex space. It strikes a perfect balance of education and fun, which is highly unusual.
I’m an advisor to the company, but also have 10 years of experience from this specific space and I have seen a lot. This product stands out!
So awesome! I love your content approach, and find your programs consumable at 30-something. I think so much other content for kids underestimates just how curious kids really are, and fail to nurture problem-solving values, which are super important (kids want/need more than just wacky characters, bright colors and shiny objects)!
You guys have struck an incredibly hard balance between fun and educational, and I think this makes Tappity super valuable. Really excited to see what you have in store for partnerships and additional product opportunities. Tappity is perfectly positioned to partner with content-producers that would otherwise fail to produce truly engaging content.
I agree with Chad that this category is a growing one, and Tappity is on a roll. Bravo, team!
What an incredibly timely and much needed product. I, as an adult, find the videos engaging (which may say something about my mental maturity...) and educational. I love the format too - the interactive nature of the content lends itself to more effective learning too. Keep up the great work, Tappity team!!
I bought Tappity for me kids about 3 months ago. It's basically the "remote science class of our dreams." Great product, great work. So much better than my kids actual science class.
@chris_hawkins wow! thank you for the kind words! I'm glad to hear your family's enjoying Tappity. While we probably won't ever be able to replace the actual experience of doing science in a classroom, we're definitely taking some of the best parts of it as best we can and incorporating it into the Tappity experience :)
Amazing update from Tappity! I’m impressed with the balance of easy interaction, personalized choose your own adventure feel, and fun educational vibe. Refreshing to see this entertaining approach to early STEM in the crowded attention economy!!
Hi Product Hunt, and thanks for the hunt @katmanalac!
We’re @chadwick_swenson & Lawrence, the founders behind Tappity. Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of two brand new features in the app: interactive live classes & Tappity Originals!
We all know it’s been a difficult year, especially for families. Two themes kept coming up In our conversations with parents: their kids were struggling to stay engaged on Zoom and parents just don’t have the time to find and evaluate quality stuff for their kids to use at-home. When we were in YCombinator this past summer, we decided to tackle these two problems head-on!
With Tappity Live Classes, we’ve created a series of mini-classes 4x a week based on a weekly science theme kids are interested in. For example, we recently wrapped a week about snow! In each class, kids are encouraged to participate, not just watch, by voting on what our teacher should do next, completing activities with them, or answering science trivia. In this format, kids never feel like they’re just watching a video or sitting in a class. Instead, they feel like they’re on a fun playdate with our expert!
Tappity Originals is our experimental foray into producing ultra-high quality content for kids. We’ve combined immersive story-telling, high-production quality, and interactivity to create content that pushes the limit of what’s possible in kids edutainment. And unlike Netflix or YouTube, kids get to play an active role and participate in these episodes. We're super excited about this series!
If you’re interested in checking these features out, you can download the app for free, where you'll also get at least 30 lessons also for free.

We’d love to hear your feedback and we're here to answer any questions you may have!

I myself remember how early I learned to read and write, and therefore it is worth doing this for a child from an early age. It is best to arrange this before he goes to school. Here I found a lot of useful lessons for sign language alphabets. I think this will greatly help parents who are trying to teach their children before school and who have a lot of time and effort for this.
