Tagbox helps creative teams organize their visual assets. We use cool AI to create a "Google Photos for Business", so that teams can collaborate better, save time, and focus on creating value, not going through folders to find that image from 3 months ago.

Hi all! The world is changing ๐ŸŒŽ today, more than ever... Just kidding. Not going to throw a bunch of Clichรฉs at you. Let's cut to the chase: Tagbox.io is all about keeping your business' creative assets organized. Here's the deal: all of your personal images are organized in Google or Apple Photo app - with awesome search, face recognition, and more. When you're looking for stock images, you can go to Shutterstock or Getty Images, and instantly find the right asset using search and awesome filters. But your business media? Those highly valuable, very expensive images and videos? Well, that's still likely stored in some Google Drive / Dropbox, hidden away behind a wall of never-ending folders. To us, that's insane. That's why we created Tagbox.io - the Google Photos for your business. What does that actually mean? ๐Ÿท๏ธ Smart auto-tagging that learns your tagging preferences. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Face recognition to help you find specific people in images ๐Ÿ“œ Text detection in images and video ๐Ÿ”Ž Awesome search ๐Ÿš€ Shareable collections ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Public Galleries You might be asking yourself - why not just use Google Photos, then? ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ผ Business-specific filters: if you have an image of a woman standing next to a car, it makes a world of difference whether you're selling clothes or cars. โ„น๏ธ Custom metadata: so much of how we look for photos isn't actually IN the image - the project name, brand, customer, photographer, location... All of these can easily be added with Tagbox.io. ๐Ÿ“ More formats: we handle images and video, of course, but you can also organize editable formats like Photoshop or Illustrator, upload slides and PDFs, and even save links from external sources, e.g. YouTube videos. I can go on and on, and I will in the comments below :) This is our first-ever launch, and we're really excited about hearing you out and learning from this awesome community. So what do you think? How do you organize your team's assets? What's the most important thing for you in staying organized? Thanks, Guy, Oz, and the rest of the Tagabox.io team ๐Ÿ˜Š

Cool to see AI being integrated this way! Do you guys plan to have this be installable to search through my own images? Can definitely see this useful for B2C as well.
Guy Barner
@richard_gao2 Yes, you definitely can use it for personal use as well - there's a free plan for individuals that has all the same features as the paid plans. Since most our users are businesses, I'm really curious how it would work for personal use, so let us know!
Richard Gao
@guy_barner I'm thinking mostly searching your own images on your computer. Maybe you have 300 images of cats all named "thing1, thing2, thing3" but you really want to find that image of the cat eating a marshmellow, so you'd run it through the AI with the search and find it.
Guy Barner
@richard_gao2 sure, we have plenty of users doing that, and it's completely free. but in all honesty, that's also possible with Google Photos or Apple Photos. Tagbox comes into play way more when you want to organize with metadata such as location, project etc, and when collaboratibg with others.

Congrats on Launching! Will Tangbox offer partnership or API collab in the future? Business media is a must for future internet work. I think tangbox can solve many problems for the company with streaming needs!
Guy Barner
@jerry_xbc definitely. We actually already offer the API in our Enterprise plans, but we plan to open it for self-service as well as soon as possible (once it's a bit more developer friendly).
Jerry
@guy_barner Actually, my team made a low-code platform called ILLA Cloud. We are trying to collab with as many productivity tools on the market as possible. Let me know if you are interested, maybe we can make this collab happen!
Guy Barner
@jerry_xbc sounds great! hit me up on LI after the launch, I'd love to hear more. Ph community for the win!

Yam Regev
I'm just here to say that I'm soooo thrilled to be part of the teams who work on tagbox.io. The product is changing how marketing and creative teams save, search and find their creative assets. No more poking your teammates with questions like "do you know where the image from our last campaign was saved?", for instance :) Increased productivity FTW :) I'm here to answer any questions
Guy Barner
@yam_regev beers all around! ๐Ÿป
Oz Meir
@yam_regev where do I get these beers?
Livia Burbulea
Very nice product, and very useful. Design and creative teams often struggle to stay organized. I think this product will help not only them but the other teams that collaborate with the creatives. The AI is a really nice touch, I bet it would prove very useful. Congrats on the launch, ?makers. You did an awesome job.
Oz Meir
@livia_burbulea Livia what great feedback ๐Ÿ‘ We sure try to give our best!
Guy Barner
@livia_burbulea Yes, we definitely see companies start with the creative team, and end up sharing with more and more people in other departments, as well as outside the organization (you can easily create public collections as well). Thanks for the kind words!
Dan Robins
This is so cool - nice work guys, my team and I have spent so long in the past trying to find reusable assets... this looks like it might solve it!
Oz Meir
@dan_robins Thanks Dan! We sure hope we can solve it too ๐Ÿ˜„
Guy Barner
@dan_robins awesome! would love to hear your thoughts after you try it hands on :)
Massive congratulations! Tagbox is incredible. Would also appreciate your support (https://www.producthunt.com/prod...) Weโ€™re launching Insight7 too in 2 weeks. Any launch tips? Itโ€™s an AI-powered product discovery tool that automated the customer research process for product teams. It analyzes data 10x faster and generates insights in a click, including sentiments and much more.
Farid Sukurov
Wow, most companies probably still use g drive to share their assets which is not the best tool for that. How did no one think of this opportunity before. Great product!
Guy Barner
@farid_sukurov G Drive and Dropbox are definitely still the go to, and NOBODY is happy about it. Thanks for your support!
Sofia
Wow! This looks great, and should be a game-changer in the organization of visuals from a security point โ˜บ๏ธ Congrats on the launch!

@sonya_key_ thanks Sonya, appreciate it! ๐Ÿ™
Adithya Narayanan
Love the tagline - really well thought out "Google photos for business". Also love the crisp, clean less than 1 minute video. Solid launch - good luck!
Guy Barner
@adithya_narayanan1 thanks! shoutout to the team that helped us with the video - highly recommended! https://burnwe.com/
Oz Meir
@adithya_narayanan1 Amazing feedback Adithya We did have great help creating the clean video ๐Ÿ˜‡
Pablo Ignacio
i don't get it... how is it different from a bank of photos then? or is for the photos the team already has?
Guy Barner
@pablo_ignacio exactly. Getty Images and Shutterstock don't use folders, right? We give companies a way to treat their most important and valuable assets - their own - with the same respect that stock sites give their images. It's basically creating your own image bank, searchable and filterable, in no time at all.
Yoel Eilat
Can't I just use Google Photos for my business? Whatโ€™s the difference between Tagbox and Google Photos? Congrats on the launch, and good luck! ๐Ÿ™Œ
Guy Barner
@eilatyoel Thanks Yoel, Great question! We actually get asked that a lot. Google Photos is a wonderful product, but there are many reasons itโ€™s not great for business use: 1. There is a lot of metadata that is often more important than whatโ€™s in the image. For example, you need to be able to find photos by client, by product, by brand, by project, who is in the picture, where it was taken... lots of things that Photos can't know because they aren't actually in the picture. 2. Accuracy: AI by definition identifies things with some success. In personal use thatโ€™s more than enough - if I want pictures of me at the beach, finding 80% of them is awesome. In a professional context, the percentages drop significantly because AI is better at identifying generic items more than very specific things (a furniture company, for example, needs to differentiate between a living room table and a kitchen table), and you also want to know that when you're looking for a table - it will show you all the tables. 3. Permission management in Photos is not good enough. You want to be able to share some of your photos with certain people according to permissions. It can be partially done with albums, but it doesn't really hold in the context of a company. There are many other reasons - file types that are not supported in Photos (e.g. editable files), managing copyrights, searching within an album which is something basic thatโ€™s actually impossible in Photos)... but the truth is that I have yet to see a company with more than 5 people that manages its media in Google Photos - the go-to is usually drive, or apps like Notion/Airtable. We wrote a blog post about this with more details if you're interested: https://www.tagbox.io/blog/tagbo...
Oz Meir
@eilatyoel @guy_barner amazing question and an even better answer ๐Ÿ˜Š
Grant Lee
Product looks great, congrats on the launch! I've definitely run into this problem in the past and am excited to check this out.
Oz Meir
@gslee thanks Grant We will surely appreciated your experienced feedback ๐Ÿ˜‰
Alon Rapaport
Yeeeessss! Looks simple and intuitive. Good luck! Kinda wondering though, what types of businesses actually need such a tool?
Guy Barner
@alon_rapaport thanks, appreciate it. Our target audience is usually marketing teams in B2C companies and retail, as well as creative agencies. But we also see many academic institutes, non-profits, sports organizations and others getting a lot of value out of having a well-organized media library.
Alon Rapaport
@guy_barner Got it. Interesting, especially if your API will enable to seamlessly integrate it into existing tools and processes without the need to switch context. Best of luck!
Guy Barner
WOW!!! ๐Ÿ† It was a close battle up till the final minutes, but you did it! Thank you so much to everyone who supported, upvoted, and took part in this launch. We're working our asses off to build the best product possible, and it feels so good to get this recognition for it. The entire team deserves it, so shoutout to them. We hope you'll continue to explore the platform, try it for yourselves, your team, and recommend it to friends. And keep posted, it literally gets better every week. Reminder: the 20% off coupon code is valid till the end of Jan, in order to give you time to explore. We're available for any inquiries at hello@tagbox.io. Good luck to all makers today, get some coffee ready, it's gonna be a long one ;)
Tom Galland
The idea and pain point itโ€™s solving is good. Only problem I see is that your free tier wonโ€™t be able to scale, what if over 100k people upload 1000 images? I donโ€™t want to put my assets on a platform that might not be around long term
Guy Barner
@tom_galland hi, thanks for the feedback. pricing is something we pay close attention to. we do want to enable individuals to use the platform, but we'll monitor and of course change if it becomes too expensive.
Kevin J. Hanna
Nice! Iโ€™ve seen other digital asset solutions like Brandfolder and Bynder - they also have stuff like auto-tagging. Can you explain how you're different? Good luck, the product looks great ๐Ÿ’ช
Guy Barner
@kevinjhanna Yeah, those are established companies with great products, but they fit a more Enterprise-type customer: A. Thereโ€™s no self-serve option - only salespeople you can schedule a demo with. Pricing also matches the Sales model - from what weโ€™ve seen, in most cases they cost 5-10 times as much as Tagbox. B. Like many enterprise products, they have customizations that come at the cost of simplicity. We work hard to make the product super-simple, and most of our customers sign up and start using it without any help from us. C. Migration is a nightmare. Transferring your existing content (usually many thousands, sometimes millions of files) and organizing them can literally take months with existing solutions. We made things simple - we handle the migration for you, so you can be up and running within a week of signing up. D. Most important - our tech is simply better. Yes, they have auto-tagging and search and what not. But thereโ€™s a reason there is no self-serve option - it just doesnโ€™t work as well as Tagbox. We have a bunch of comparison videos on our YouTube channel. Oh, weโ€™re also the only ones I know of that have face recognition, which is really important for most companies.
Bren Kinfa ๐Ÿ’Ž SaaS Gems
Tagbox looks great. Congratulations on the launch ๐ŸŽ‰. What's next on the roadmap?
Guy Barner
@saasdesigner thanks Bren! Last month we released 2 huge features - auto-transcription for video and audio, and face recognition. Next, we're planning to do more work on video, including auto-tagging, creating upload links with pre-set tags that you can send collaborators for them to easily add assets, and many more AI filters - filtering by color, by emotion, by a person's pose, and more. I'd love to hear what you would like to see next though.
Guy Barner
Quick clarification: some people have been asking me about a PH deal - yes, we're offering 20% off on all plans exclusively for the PH community, with code coolcats2023. the offer is valid until the end of Jan, to give you time to sign up, give it a go, and see how awesome Tagbox.io is for yourselves ;)
