Hey guys 👋, I'm excited to share with you something me and my brother honestly spent way too much time building(😅): an operating system for your browser, or at least something that mimics an OS in many ways. Either way, we call it tabOS 🙂. tabOS is mainly a browser extension, and the goal is to minimize the times you have to context-switch when working on the web by giving you a new way to overlook and manage your tabs, take notes, create full documents, and, not least, quickly use different AI-helpers for various tasks—all right on the current tab or in full-size mode in your new tab. You might be wondering, "What should I use it for?" Great question 😄! tabOS is plenty versatile, so let's use me prepping for this Product Hunt launch as an example: I create a new desktop, add a document, and prompt an AI-helper with our use case and context about tabOS. We then add another AI-helper for generating alternatives for a given input (prompt: "Give me 10 alternatives to the text I paste"). We also drop off some useful links in neatly organized folders. Finally, we can link this desktop to producthunt.com so when we open the sidebar on the submission page, this desktop opens up. With the help of this desktop, we efficiently prepare our submission. We can create to-do lists on what needs to be done, reach useful links, write, and prepare with multiple AI assistance — all without leaving our current tab and maintaining that precious flow, not having to jump between 3-4 other tabs and tools to bring in the different key materials. These created AI-helpers, documents, images, and tab folders are also saved in your library to be used again in other arrangements for other use-cases or simply always at hand in the dock. The library is navigated and organized into a familiar tree and nested folder structure. Effortlessly drag and drop or copy/paste to rearrange. The data is also synced to the cloud with end-to-end encryption, and all that jazz. You can therefore access your resources via the web app on other devices and even share and collaborate with others. Absolutely love tabOS! I have it installed on all of my browsers, it's become an indispensable part of my workflow. The ability to organize bookmarks in visible groups makes browsing and working much more productive. It has a very nice design, which makes it a pleasure to use. The developer is open to feedback as well. Highly recommended!

As a big fan of tabOS, I have to say this tool is a game-changer. Before tabOS, my stuff was all over the place. honestly i didn't know how to fix the chaos until I found tabOS. I literally can't begin to tell you how much better organized my digital world is now. Projects & would-be-distractions are all neatly sorted in to supercharged tabs now. Whatever i'm working on, I can do it more efficiently now because *everything* i'm doing on my computer now has note-taking, document creation and ai...Everything neatly organized in supercharged folders + synced to the cloud...tabOS has become a key part of my daily routine. I have 6 monitors on 3 separate computers, and it's all neatly synced. Huge thanks to the creators for this very huge productivity & quality-of-life booster.
