How many tabs do you have open that you have not used in hours or even days?
With the Tab Suspender you can expect a considerable reduction of memory and CPU usage and indirectly your battery consumption by automatically suspending the tabs you aren't using.

Niiceee! I like your implementation. Looks so clear and simple, can't wait when I try it :) Congratulations!

Depending on your tab count and how "heavy" the websites are, you can expect a considerable reduction of memory and CPU usage and indirectly your battery consumption by automatically suspending the tabs you aren't using. Some of the options you can configure are: - Whitelist urls or domains that you do not want to suspend - Show a screen shot of the page just before it was suspended - Detects tabs playing audio and will not suspend them if you don't want it (experimental) - Detects tabs that contain active forms and will not suspend them if you don't want it - Optionally, do not suspend tabs if on battery power or no network connections

@modfind I thought Safari already did this automatically. Is this just a GUI for controlling some of the options?

@wkeving Safari does not suspend the unused tabs. What it does is it freezes UI updates and scripts associated to it. Background tasks like polling data from the server are still executed. This was mentioned a couple of years ago in WWDC but I can't find the link now. This can be seen when you leave a tab unattended for some time and when you switch back to it you will a blank page for an instant and then the updated contents of the tab

As someone who has a bad habit of closing tabs, I'm really eager to test this. I use Google Chrome with +30 tabs. I'll submit an update soon!

@jnblas For chrome there's a very good extension: https://chrome.google.com/websto...

I'm amazed. It looks really great. I am very excited to test this program. I'll be sure to share my opinion here later. I could just close the tabs, but they are all needed for work. And because I have a lot of tabs open forever in my browser, unpleasant things happen in the form of less performance on my computer. Fortunately, I recently upgraded my processor. I wondered whether I should get an Intel KF or an Intel K. In the end, I settled on the choice of the latter option. I made the right choice thanks to https://digitalmasta.com/intel-k.... You can find great information here for computers, consoles, software, accessories, and problems with all of that.

why don't you just close the tab?
