I am currently going through the process of transitioning from design to development. It is interesting when modern tools allow you to implement ideas. But, as in any niche, you need to study and research a lot to make quality products. This app is my next step towards that. What do you think about it?

@yevhen_h Orange is the new black, the design is interesting, congrats!

Nika

Will be something solely for the desktop? :)

(Admire orange/white minimalistic design you chose)

Yevhen Holota

@busmark_w_nika Wow, desktop apps hadn't crossed my mind yet, but I'm definitely open to experimenting with that!

Nika

@yevhen_h Happy to hear you are considering it! :D

This looks super handy for anyone working or connecting with people across different time zones! Are there any plans to integrate with calendar apps to help with scheduling?

Yevhen Holota

@supa_l Calendar integration sounds like a great idea, thanks! I hadn't considered that yet, but I'll definitely look into how to implement it seamlessly.

Congrats on the launch! Does Synchora offer a widget feature for quick time zone viewing without opening the app?

Yevhen Holota

@feliciana_liu Thanks! Not at the moment, but I'm already planning to add Apple Watch app and widgets in an upcoming update.

iPhones don't have this natively?

Samsung clock app has this as long as I can remember...

Yevhen Holota

@konrad_sx Time zones, yes, but you can't look at them conveniently. If it's 15:00 locally, and you want to instantly see what it's like in London, when it's 17:30 for you. Plus the convenient 12/24 hour mode.

Tania Bell

really cool, @yevhen_h . how long did it take you to build this? vibe coded, I'm assuming? upvoted

on a practical note, why would I need this when I can set these up on all my devices natively?

Yevhen Holota

@taniabell thank you! Well, with my main job, it took a little less than a week. From idea to release. It did it with Swift and SwiftUI.

As for the value, if you use the same time zones in your work, then there is not much value. But if you travel a lot, it can be useful to see the time shift in new cities.

Also, now I am more likely to dive into development, because before this I was doing product design for more than 10 years, and now this is an opportunity to implement my own products alone, as I see it. And therefore, I just take and implement interesting ideas for myself one by one.

Tania Bell

@yevhen_h good luck with the launch. i'm thinking of doing the same - have a few ideas that I can build now that vibe coding is a thing

Yevhen Holota

@taniabell it's a great strategy actually. We always gain experience, and I think experience is the most important thing. Good luck to you too!

Charvi Bothra

I love the aesthetic!

Jonas Urbonas

Synchora sounds like such a handy tool for anyone working with teams or friends across time zones! 🌍 I love how it makes comparing time differences so easy and visual—it seems like a game-changer for scheduling. How does it visualize the time shifts—does it have an interactive map or a timeline view to help track multiple time zones at once?

Yevhen Holota

@jonurbonas thanks Jonas!

In the first version, you add the cities you want and there is a circular slider, when you rotate it, the time shifts and you can track how much time it will be in each city. In addition, there are 12 and 24 hour modes.

There will be no interactive map yet, but it is a good idea! Thanks, I will do some research on how to implement this.

Vlad Nedelcu

I see a clean UI app, I say that's pretty cool.

Ashit Vora

Congrats on the launch @yevhen_h.

Have a design suggestion - can you somehow visually show whether it is day, evening, night at the given location?
That why a person doesn't have to mentally parse the time. Visual gives an indication.

Yevhen Holota

@ashitvora Agree, I'll try it in future updates! Thank you!

Evak Chan

I see from the images that it show the time in different time zones, but it seems to be missing the date.

Yevhen Holota

@evakk I haven't set a specific date yet, but I'll add it to my backlog. Thanks for the suggestion!

Vladyslav Vashchinskyi

hey! Congrat's. Looks really nice. Is there is a plan to add similar app to android ?

Yevhen Holota

@vladyslavvashchinskyi Thanks! Not sure, but think about macOS version.

Jun Shen

This tool simplifies global scheduling efforts! 👍
