@noahkagan and the team at SumoMe continue to crush it!!
Walter Chen
Very cool—the #1 thing that every site needs is more traffic.
Abe Storey
Brilliant. Really dig this concept. How do you prevent links to malicious/adult content though?
Nat Eliason
@abe_storey We actually built a filter to check for adult content, @joshtronic and @chadboyda can tell you more

Thanks for posting @blendahtom. Excited to hear feedback!

This is awesome. I love how it's credit-based, not pay for exposure based :)
Shannon Byrne
Really love the concept. Gamification for sharing valuable content - it's like a win win. Very cool!

So I am assuming your goal is to turn like Outbrain once you have enough traction?
Chad Boyda
@arfanchaudhry Nope, we don't plan on selling placement like Outbrain. We have some Pro features, but mainly just want to help sites using SumoMe grow. A rising tide network effect.

Looks really good. Not sure I'm convinced yet. I'd like more info about how they make sure the traffic to my site is relevant. I think I'm not alone with rather having few visitors (that are really relevant) than many irrelevant visitors! 🔎👥
Webmaster Deals
I've installed and i have a few questions: 1. Somebody will moderate each site who install the widget ? I am asking this because i have a website in design niche and i see ads from : Asian Dating & Relationships 2. I see outgoing traffic but no incoming traffic at all. How many outgoing clicks do i need to give until i receive something back ?
Chad Boyda
@webmasterdeals Yes we monitor it. Relevancy will increase as inventory increases. We'll keep improving it. If you're not getting clicks back, I would try improving your link copy and image.
Brandon
So this is like Outbrain?
Nat Eliason
@getbrandflakes Similar, except Outbrain is pay-to-play and this is merit based. Your placement is based on the amount you're featuring other people's articles.
Braden Hamm
@nateliason What constitutes "featuring" other articles? Is that just the amount of times the widget is displayed?
Roger Huang
I like the idea--to add to it, it'd be cool to get a weekly digest of content, separated by different interests. I'd love to see what the most shared/clicked links from 150,000+ sites looks like.
Nat Eliason
@rogerh1991 Love this. We'll be getting a lot of good data on what kinds of headlines & images get the most clicks, so there's a lot of potential with content or weekly digests to share that.
ajimix
I like the idea but I think is very blog oriented where there are articles and at the end there are more similar articles. What happen to other kind of websites?
SPIDERDAN
This seems perfect for social apps and sites. I love seeing things like today's hunt Candidate, but realistically I end up downloading them, they don't hit critical mass in my locale, and I lose interest.
Nat Eliason
@dangolant Do you mean physical locale? Or within your niche?
