Some pretty cool work here @maker. Looks fun. How many people can play a single game? Are stats available during/after the game? That would be so sick.
Lucas Braunschvig
@gupta_ayushh real-time multiplayer is not available just yet but on the roadmap. Leaderboards are also being considered, but we don't want to turn a leisurely stroll into a race. We will need to be careful and put a focus on metrics that encourage players to discover and learn more.

This is something! When I was a kid I remember playing a game similar to this where we design a game and then we find clues searching everywhere in nearby localities. However that was not digital. But this product is built for modern times. I totally love the essence it brings to the table for people. It has multi-industry applications. This could be a game changer for travel and tourism sector. You should work with bigger Giant in Hospitality sector or Government travel boards to get this application travel experience. I would love to know your plans for it.
Lucas Braunschvig
@worklab thanks for your enthusiasm Deepak! We believe our users will invent reasons to use the product we could never think about in-house. We are engaging with private and government players in travel and hospitality but we hope locals will also find value in the product to both find games to play in their city and to create games for the city they love.

Looks like amazing project! my friend has leading agency that creates tourist strategies for cities in Ukraine. When Creator tools will be ready hit me up we can launch Strollhunt games in 10 Ukrainian cities.
Lucas Braunschvig
@oleksiy_malytskyy thank you for the excellent suggestion and for your support, I will for sure make contact as soon as the actual in-app Creator tools are available. Have an excellent weekend.

To propose to my girlfriend, I created an Augmented Reality experience in Barcelona; the idea was to discover points of interest in the city but not by being told what to do and where to go (what I call the status quo with travel and local products), but through a combination of game mechanics. After testing it with people I didn't know, and seeing the smile on their face, I decided to give this concept a chance and turn it into a product at first, and now a platform. Strollhunt's mission is to turn cities into playgrounds by enabling anyone to create, publish and play games for the real world, straight from a mobile phone. If you enjoy going on walks in your city, Strollhunt will turn your casual walk into an exciting adventure. The Strollhunt Platform is composed of three elements: - Strollhunt Create: The no code tools for creators to easily create games for the real world, straight from the Strollhunt mobile application. - Strollhunt Publish: The services that allow creators to easily distribute the games created with Strollhunt Create to players on Strollhunt Play. - Strollhunt Play: The Strollhunt mobile application that allows players to find and play games for the real world. We are inspired by real world games like Pokémon Go and Geocaching but target a more mainstream crowd and have designed the app to make users more present in the real world. At launch, Strollhunt will be available to play in a select number of cities (San Francisco, London, Paris and Barcelona), but if you're not living in one of these cities (and it's fair to assume that the majority of the users won't), you will be able to very easily create a new game for your city. V1.0 of our Creator tools are not ready for prime time just yet, but we've included in the app a minimum version to test user's reception (it's far from being a great user experience but it works). What's more exciting, is that soon you'll be able to create and publish a new game for your city straight from the app! Here's a sneak peak for the Product Hunt community: https://drive.google.com/file/d/... We hope you will be interested in creating a game in your city and see Strollhunt as a new canvas to share your love for your city with the world through play. I wrote a more detailed article about Strollhunt on Medium in case you're interested: https://medium.com/@lucasbraunsc...

YES!!! We have been publishing scavenger hunt games for new medical students in Nicosia, Cyprus for a few years, slowly moving from paper based ones to a dynamic website experience. This might just be what it takes. Installed, eagerly awaiting 1.0.
Lucas Braunschvig
@legerdemain delighted to read you are looking for a platform to create app based scavenger hunt games in Nicosia. Maybe play around with our Minimum Viable Product for now and see if it satisfies your needs, and if so create a series of points of interests and we'll add it to the app. Very happy to assist you. Have a brilliant weekend.
Avi Ashkenazi
Tried it and loved it. Can’t wait to travel again and try in other cities. The London experience is 👍
Lucas Braunschvig
Thank you @avi_ashkenazi for giving Strollhunt a try. More games will become available in London and most importantly, you are able to very easily create your own games in London. Creating a game is easy: 1. Choose a place or thing in the city you want people to discover through play (e.g. a cool piece of street art, a lovely pub in a tiny hidden mews) 2. Write a cryptic clue hiding in plain sight the place you want people to discover 3. Create 2 hints 4. Apply one of our 3 game mechanics (our Computer Vision-powered Magic Camera, our Magic Radar or our Question & Answer) 5. Write a short story about why you love this place 6. Upload an image of the place 7. Add a nearby recommendation And we'll add it to the app. You can do it now here: https://forms.gle/2GvgH2NbAmFGvjRq8 And soon right into the app. Thank you so so much for your support

Had a great time for my 30th birthday in Barcelona. In a way, I wish you would have proposed to me too at the end of the hunt too @lucas_braunschvig1

looks like an amazing app to discover cities! especially when you are tired of going from one point straight to another. when is the Asia expansion pack coming?
Lucas Braunschvig
@weebmo Thanks for your message. Asia is on the roadmap for early 2022 but if you really don't want to wait for that long (oh how I get you), start creating content now for your favourite city and we'll publish it on the app. Here's the minimum version of our Creator tools: https://forms.gle/2GvgH2NbAmFGvjRq8
Marcos Hernandez
Great idea that definitely changes the way you navigate through cities that you are visiting. Both as a part of a planned trip (a game with your friends) or as a tool for when you don't want to prepare a visit but still want to discover it with new friends in a funny way. It helps discovering a city, or those usual hidden jewels, also making new friends...and probably a great idea for restaurants, venues to get some visibility as well! Godspeed to the creators!
Lucas Braunschvig
@khose thanks a million times Marcos for your support. What you describe is precisely what we aspire to do for our users. I hope you'll get to play Strollhunt wherever you are and keep in mind that at anytime you can create a new game in the app. All the best to you!
Pauline Varoquaux
Strolhunt is a brilliant way to re-discover and bring some magic to the city you live in. It’s also very exciting and playful to create a new game for a city where you spend holidays in or have specific memories related to (from my experience it’s been Aix en Provence). This app revolutions the whole travel experience!
Lucas Braunschvig
@pauline_varoquaux thank you so much Pauline for being among our earliest players and creators. The feedback you gave us on the minimum version of our Content tools was super insightful and we're implementing them for what will be V1 of our Content tools coming in a couple weeks. Again, thank you so so much for your support!
anaelle lebas
This product is fantastic to learn and have fun while discovering a city under a new light. A social, cultural and entertaining activity in one app. Absolutely terrific! Everyone should try it!!
Lucas Braunschvig
@anaelle_lebas thanks Anaelle for your message and delighted you've enjoyed playing Strollhunt. I hope you will become one of our early game creators!
Ben Raffles
There’s nothing better than exploring cities on locals recommendations, now possible in a game. I can’t wait to try other cities!
Lucas Braunschvig
@ben_raffles1 thanks Ben, while the world is still a bit closed (for very valid reasons), I'm sure you'll find on Strollhunt more than enough places to discover through play, and if you run out, then maybe it's time to start creating places to add to Strollhunt. Strollhunt is designed to be a canvas for people who love their city to to turn their city into a giant playground. Thanks for your support!
Sam N
Strollhunt is a great app to get to know your city better and in a fun way. Plus I love to walk around cities and it's a great way to discover hidden spots that I would not normally find with a "basic tourist guide".
Lucas Braunschvig
@samuel_nora thanks for having given Strollhunt a spin. We firmly believe that we can make casually walking in cities more fun, social and educational. We are very inspired by the likes of Pokémon Go and Geocaching, and our hope is to be able to reach a less hardcore gaming orientated crowd (i.e. people who play with the intention to win or complete the game), and a more mainstream crowd (i.e. people who enjoy going out on a stroll and know how to use a mobile phone). We also believe that digital natives won't be exploring cities like older generations and aspire to something more experiential; we hope Strollhunt will be their mobile companion when leaving the home for a casual stroll.
Annabelle Rolland
This is a great app to get to know your city better and discover hidden gems during your walks!
Lucas Braunschvig
@annabelle Thank you for your kind support, we're hard at work trying to make strolling a little more exciting.
Latoya Emillie
Thats Great!
Lucas Braunschvig
@latoyaemillie delighted you like what we do, the journey is long for more games to be available to play in cities around the world but hopefully our users will start creating content for cities of all sizes. Have a great week!
Andrii Kpyto
As a huge fan of Ingress I like it :)
Pau MA
This is a super interesting way to learn new things about a city while having fun with your friends!
Lucas Braunschvig
@pau_ma thanks Pau, hope you will get to play Strollhunt very soon!
Tara Vernhes
Love it! Such a fun way to discover a city differently with your friends!
Lucas Braunschvig
@tara_vernhes thanks for your kinds words Tara, I hope you will get to play Strollhunt soon with your friends wherever you are in the world. And if you're not in a city where a game is available just yet, how about creating a game for your city? Wishing you all the best!
Lauren Bradford
Bye bye guidebooks and GoogleMaps - hello travel tool for the modern world! Love this.
Lucas Braunschvig
@laurenjanebradford it's exactly what we're trying to do, in a playful way. It's not that we don't think guidebooks and Google Maps have a role to play but that by telling people what to do and where to go, placing points of interest on a map, they lead users to explore a city by mindlessly going from point of interest to point of interest. We believe that discovering a city is not about the destination (the point of interest itself), but that it's about the journey (i.e. everything you experience in between). As a result, Strollhunt makes it the whole point of the game for the user to discover wherever and whatever it is that the creator wants the player to discover through a combination of game mechanics. Instead of telling the user where to go in a city, showing her a photo of the point of interest and telling her facts about the point of interest, we want the user to see the point of interest with her eyes for the first time, to have the delight of having uncovered the point of interest, and only then, tell her a story about why the creator brought her here, what's culturally, historically or artistically significant about this point of interest. It's our vision, only time will tell if we had a unique insight or if we are just delusional.
Mohammad Rabiul
Looks awesome.
Lucas Braunschvig
@mohammad_rabiul thanks, our designer did a pretty excellent job (in my totally unbiased opinion) ;)
