@samhouston Yes. That is next on our list. We're working on a plug-in for Mac and PC. It will ultimately allow any device to connect to any other device and sound, virtually, perfect.
A really nifty product that allows you to record a conversation with anyone, anywhere in the world, on any device, and have it sound like you're in the same room at the same time.
This app has changed the way I record podcasts. I've used it for several guest interviews now for my show The App Guy Podcast. The quality is much better than recording via Skype. I love this app! I have my first interview using RINGR going live this Wednesday (episode 296 of http://TheAppGuy.co/the-app-guy-... ) if anyone wants to hear the quality.
BTW, it just shows we can't rely on huge companies to truly innovate (e.g Microsoft who have the deep pockets, but haven't really done anything with Skype other than the annoying birthday update notifications).
@pierre_vannier Absolutely, Pierre. Podcasting too. Plus, legal depositions, medical transcription, conference calling (eventually), and more. Thanks so much!
Seems like a great product, and the sound quality is superior – if you judge by the samples on their website. @timjsinclair consider adding a pay-per-use/pay-per-minute plan for people with occasional recording needs?
@timjsinclair just tried ringr, almost good but pretty buggy honestly, I really want it to work. You need a way to cancel a upload to try your call again, if you get disconnected
