Hi Team, congrats on your achievement, I am the user of Steak and I love the product. I am going to use the opportunity to ask, do you guys have a support for users outside of US? I sent email on if you have deals for early stage startups and never got a response.
Aleem Mawani
πŸ‘‹ Hi there PH!! Super excited to be back on ProductHunt to share what we're launching today. Our goal is to build a CRM your team will actually use (imagine that!). Streak does the tedious data entry for you so you can get 10x more value out of the product than the work you need to put in. The updates we are launching today have been a long time in the works and fundamentally remake the product. Streak 3 can: πŸ” scan your inbox to find leads/opportunities/deals/candidates that you should add to your pipeline. We then automatically fill out a lot of important data for you - like the last time your team received an email from them. ⏲️ build a timeline of your **entire team's** interactions with a person or company automatically (+enrichment using Clearbit) πŸ”” alerts you when you are about to email someone that has already been in touch with your team ⚑️ deeply integrated across Gmail and the rest of G Suite. This isn't totally new but we've made our best in class integration even better. βœ… guide you to becoming a Streak power user with training videos, tours and pointers to features you haven't discovered yet A little on Streak's backstory: we started building the product out of frustration of having to use other sales tools at our previous startup. We didn't understand why we had to choose between buying an expensive piece of software (and the expensive consultant to customize it) or a spreadsheet that we made ourselves but didn't connect to the tool we used every day β†’ email. None of the tools recognized that everything we wanted to track - our sales, hiring and fundraising pipelines - all flowed through our email. Instead we were forced to context switch between apps and copy & paste data back and forth. The less we used those products the more the data in them became stale and unreliable. Instead, we wanted something that was so integrated into our flow, that just working our email updated all the info in our pipeline and shared it with our team. We wanted something we'd actually use. Our first insight was to put the entire thing inside of Gmail. Not a token integration for an app that lived elsewhere but instead every interaction with Streak was done in Gmail. This accomplished 3 things: 1. it made it incredibly easy to log info in your pipeline as you were reading your email 2. when reading new emails, it gave you context on the deal or opportunity so you didn't have to search for it in a separate system 3. we didn't have to remind users to come back to Streak, it was already present in the app they were using every day. The next thing we tackled was how sluggish existing tools were. Page navigation between leads, opportunities, contacts, etc and hitting save buttons just slowed you down. Imagine 1999 form technology with full page refreshes (looking at you Salesforce!). Instead we made the primary interface a spreadsheet that let us move around quickly with the keyboard and do batch actions like copy/paste across records, all while autosaving and staying on the same page. Again, everything in Streak encourages your team to actually use it and keep it up to date. But we still had a problem. You still had to tell Streak which emails were relevant to which deals in your pipeline. Even worse, your entire team had to remember to do this, too, which frequently led managers to say "Hey, did you add that email to Streak?". We set out to solve this 18 months ago and our key insight was that you should just tell Streak which people or companies are involved in a particular deal and then we'll automatically organize all the emails your team receives neatly in one place. Nothing slips through the cracks. With this same tech, we're also able to tell you when you're about to email someone for the first time that has already had conversations with your teammates. This prevents the dreaded "I've already been talking to Bob in Sales" feedback from customers. This is just the tip of the iceberg, we plan on surfacing useful info from your teams email throughout the product. Streak now really just feels like an all new product to us. We had a few disparate initiatives we were working on that all came together really well. We'd like to say there was a grand plan in all of this, but really we set out to solve specific problems users had and they just dovetailed really nicely together. Even though we had to make sure the features flowed well together, it was surprising how well they naturally fit together - probably because they all share the same common philosophy: "don't let your tools give you more work" We hope you find Streak 3 useful, and we're happy to answer any questions about the product and how we built it.

I've been using Streak for years in my business and also love it even just managing my own solo projects or coaching clients too -- it just keep getting better with each update, the team is very responsive and helpful as well! Definitely watch Aleem's video above that gives you a great overview of some of the key reasons, I think the "low-work" aspect has always been my favorite part, I hate that need to transfer things from one place to another. I love the convenience of the Pipelines and Boxes showing up right inside Gmail/Gsuite. Happy to have been a beta tester of this latest version -- for Shift users, it works great as an extension within Shift too!
Aleem Mawani
@nathansudds Glad the "low work" CRM resonated and that the video was useful!

As a Streak user I experience every day with each version a better and more robust product. Congratulations!

We have been power users of Streak for years and it completely blends in our flows. It kind of disappears when not in use but it's always there when needed! Looking forward to trying version 3.
Aleem Mawani
@cl0d disappears "when not in use" makes me really happy. We're not trying to juice "engagement" or anything like that. Just provide value where we can.
Haseeb Awan
Using it for years now and super happy with the experience. I hate CRMS in general but this is super simple to use
I discovered Streak recently through a fellow hunter @_anupg and I LOVE it! It makes it so easy to organize your inbox and your leads in a very fast structured way while easily having an overview of what's going. I'm excited to test this new scanning inbox feature!

Excited to see Streak 3! The potential for Streak is incredible and my team has enjoyed using it so far. Auto boxing saves so much time. Is there any way to end auto boxing after a certain date? For example, after a prospect becomes a client we only want to group emails that are from the sales cycle? Keep up the great work 😁
Aleem Mawani
@zach1taylor1 great question - we don't have that functionality yet. If we did, and you set autoboxing starting a certain date, would you want autoboxing to turn off on other boxes as well?
Zach Taylor
@aloo Thanks for getting back to me! To give you some context, we communicate frequently with customers after they have made it through the sales cycle and are official customers. The nature of our business includes 100s of emails to customer every year. The challenge I am currently facing with Streak auto boxing is that all of the emails post sales cycle (when prospect has become a client) clutter out the emails sent during the sales cycle. I want to be able to only store the sales related emails in Streak, however. It would be great to have a switch to stop auto boxing for specific boxes after that prospect has become a client or perhaps once that prospect is moved into the Closed WON stage. Alternatively, manually adding a date for each box would also work as the date would be specific to each customer and when they became a client. Does that help answer your question?

This is super Aleem! Our team at @Decentro is now exploring this and most likely may end up using this.

Recommend? I have a hard time not getting excited when I tell others about this product. I use it for my personal CRM use case. Networking. It's freaking amazing. I actually can't believe how WELL it is integrated with Gmail. My prediction is that Google will acquire them. Brilliant product. Brilliant. Did you hear that.. Aleem Mawani? I don't know you but I think you (and your team) have hit upon an incredibly useful and genius area of communication. I wish you continued success. One request - please think about a lower price point for individual users. Under $10. Preferably $5-8. Kinda like Evernote. Have it focus on 1. Contact management+enrichment 2. Prep for meetings (getting latest before meeting someone). I'll buy it, no question. Tempted at $15 too, but the free version does most of what I want it to do. And upleveling on mailmerge etc is not what I need.
Gabriel Aleixo
The best example of integration into my existing workflow, making me much more likely to use my CRM. Of course a stand alone CRMs could have a few more bells and whistles, but it's impressive to see everything that Streak manages to pack inside of Gmail. The new updates look awesome. Great job Aleem and team!
Aleem Mawani
@gabrielaleixo Thanks for the support!

Streak has great UI and features. I've been using it over a year to track projects, even though I'm not in sales. The email integration is killer. Being able to add notes and dates without leaving the screen. So many apps in this space are Kanban-style which just does not work for me. The next most similar apps are not as visual or intuitive. Very glad to have Streak.

Our team has been using Streak CRM for a few years, starting as novices and becoming power users and we are happy to see the app getting even better! We stumbled across Streak looking for an integrated CRM that works alongside our emails, instead of in a separate space. Email power features like snooze, view tracking and mail merges were an added bonus right from the start, but the real value comes from the context this CRM provides. Seeing team-wide shared contact details, deals, tasks and other forms of communication in a sidebar right next to an email is super helpful. The pipeline views, easy to use yet powerful filters, formula support, capable mobile apps and integration with Zapier and other automation platforms are a dream. Gone are the years of manual data entry and wasted time. Streak has become the central hub of our interconnected tech stack and is beautifully integrated within the G-Suite. Please keep the updates coming and don't forget about niche features such as the Google Sheet's Streak importer. :)
Aleem Mawani
@ricardo_fahrig1 thanks for being a long time user! Really appreciate your support. We're actively working on improving our import story - more to come soon!

I don't think I'm the main target user for Streak, as I don't use it as a sales/lead tracker but rather as a recruiting pipeline organization tool. I love how flexible and customizable Streak is, being able to adapt to so many different use cases and personas. I particularly don't use the full range of Streak's features (one of the main reasons why I'm not a paid user), but the simplicity and ease to configure were big draws for me, and it continues delivering. I definitely feel a bit of a performance drag on my GMail by having Streak, but I believe this is a fair price to pay for the value I get out of the tool. Thank you Aleem and the rest of Streak's team, and keep it up!
Aleem Mawani
@palharesf many many of our users use Streak for things other than sales - we designed it to be flexible to handle all the processes that flow through your inbox. As for performance, we're working on 3 major projects at the moment to tackle this. It's going to be really great, fast to load, no lag on gmail, reduced memory usage and quick to get through your pipelines.
Nathan Sudds
@palharesf I'm with you on that, I use Streak in some unconventional ways as well and love how it's flexible to adapt. Re: Performance drag, I've really enjoyed using Streak with Gmail in the Shift app (they added it as an extension) -- it seems to work quite well and Gmail/Streak don't seem to create any performance drag for me in that environment. Might be worth looking into! https://tryshift.com/
Fernando Palhares
@aloo that's exciting news, thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to it. Also, great job on the flexibility piece, it's indeed really well thought out :)
Fernando Palhares
@nathansudds thanks for sharing the Shift app - I never heard of it before, and will definitely take a look
Jamon H
Streak was the first CRM that worked the way that I like to work. We've used it at Infinite Red for almost exactly 5 years now (wow, time flies!) Definitely happy I found Streak -- keep improving it!
Aleem Mawani
@jamonholmgren thanks for being a long time customer, we appreciate the support!
Mateo Jaramillo
Great features that will add a lot of value to Streak! As a founder I've been using Streak to help organize and keep track of communications with my team and communications with our partners. I've been using Streak mostly as a short-time memory carrier which helps me unload unnecessary stress off my mind.
Aleem Mawani
@mateo_jaramillo so cool - figuring out ways to focus on the most important thing and letting computers handle the memory part is a super useful skill.
Paul Wilson
Streak is critical to our operation! I have a question though - for Streak to function properly, does a users Gmail account need to be open in order to be scanned by Streak? ie, if they take a holiday and their workstation is switched off, what happens?
Raoul Rodriguez
@paul_wilson4 Thanks for picking us! :) Streak integrates into Gmail in many different ways! For our email scanning, our system talks directly to Gmail's servers so you don't have to worry about holidays or weekends. Streak will work 24/7 to present relevant emails to your team as soon as they're available!

We are using Streak since a couple of years and are really impressed about the continuous great improvements you added over time. Only thing we still miss is to create views by filtering for specific contact fields or at least sorts by contacts or organizations. Your personalized mass emailing is ingenious! It saves us tons of time and is incredibly well done. Same counts for your snippets: super easy, super helpful. I can't really think about NOT using Streak anymore, so please continue the fantastic work.
Robert Boehm
btw: we have used the most renowned big CRM tools with tons of customizations before, but the team never really liked working with them. This has changed with Streak. Thanks!
Aleem Mawani
@fraubert1 We're starting to work on a *much* better filtering system that should let you do all of these and more. Also.... secretly.... stay tuned for a contact list.... shhh...
Julius Falk
It’s the only crm and really keep using because it’s just there..in my emails. People think I’m super organized but it’s just streak and reminders...please don’t tell anybody. They think i have super powers
Aleem Mawani
@julius_falk This is such an underrated benefit of deep UI integrations. You don't have to remember to use the product, you don't have to remember to open the tab and switch to it, you don't have to remember to go check it. When the info you need is contextual you'l obviously use it more.
