Hi everyone! I’m beyond excited to finally get this into your hands. We’ve mostly stayed under the radar, but today we’re offering early access to the PH community with free Pro Plan access the first month.

🧩 Why we built it

As a technical team, we’re big fans of Cursor. But as we shared our excitement with our non technical friends, we realized that the AI revolution had not yet meaningfully touched their lives.

The browser is the non-techie equivalent to the code editor, so we decided to build the Cursor for the web. That’s how Strawberry was born.

🫠 The problem

When browsing the web, we flip through hundreds of tabs per day, spending hours on boring repetitive grunt work that could and should be automated.

The same goes for moving data from tab to tab, populating and enriching sheets and writing the same email over and over again with slight variations.

But each person has their own unique workflows that require context about them and what they're working on. This means that some tasks just can’t be replaced by some SaaS tool or Zapier automation.

✨ What we aim to accomplish

Strawberry is the browser that gets to know you over time, that can remove those boring tasks from your work day so that you can spend time on the things that matter.

We want to put the power of AI into the hands of the average person; those who worry about an AI revolution where they get left behind.

It’s a work in progress, and we need the help and feedback of the PH community to give us even more clarity on how to move forward.

🚀 How to get started

We are still in closed beta, but as a special offer to the PH community, we will let all of you skip the waitlist! Until midnight PST, you’ll be able to download Strawberry at strawberrybrowser.com/ph-early-access.

As a special bonus, those of you who create your account during this time will get free Pro Plan access until June 1st.

Thank you so much. And please share feedback, questions, and comments! Our team will be around all day, and is looking forward to hearing from you.

Jose Ig. Andrés

@sebastian_thunman definitely trying it right now!

BTW: I just had problems login with Google, but Github login was ok.

Sebastian Thunman

@joserobleda Awesome, thanks for trying it out! Let us know what you think! Could you share more details about the Google issues? Are you on Windows or Mac?

Jose Ig. Andrés

@sebastian_thunman I'm using Mac. The problem is with 2-step auth: passkey doesn't work, and mobile auth gives me a 403. Let me know if you need more details

Sebastian Thunman

@joserobleda thanks for the details! We have had some issues with passkeys lately, working on making it work asap. Were you able to try out the onboarding? Any thoughts? :D

Masum Parvej

@sebastian_thunman Does Strawberry support saving workflows as reusable templates or actions across sessions?

Sebastian Thunman

@masump yes! You can even record your screen to show it how to do your workflows!

Benjamin Åstrand

@masump Great question! Each companion has a set of skills and a set of memories. Skills are perfect for saving workflows like you're describing. Memories came be used to memorize key data that you use often - like your colleagues email addresses or the name of your customer spreadsheet!

Divyansh Tiwari
@sebastian_thunman Really appreciate you jumping in here! Just wanted to say – Strawberry is genuinely impressive. The way it simplifies complex workflows and feels like a real assistant in the browser is next-level. Love how thoughtful the user experience is. Excited to see how it evolves from here — great work!
Sebastian Thunman

@divyansh_tiwari7 thank you! We put a lot of time and energy into it and tried to be thoughtful about everything. Still early of course and there's much more to do, but we're proud of what we already have. Excited about things to come! Let us know if you have any feedback :)

Fuqiao Xue (xfq)

@sebastian_thunman Great, I'll try it today! By the way, what is the difference between Strawberry and Fellou?

Sebastian Thunman

@xfq haven't tried it! What do you like about it?

Fuqiao Xue (xfq)

@sebastian_thunman It upgrades the information display function of traditional browsers to autonomous action capabilities, is faster than Manus, and supports background parallel processing tasks.

Sebastian Thunman

@xfq in that case I'd say we're pretty similar! You should try out Strawberry yourself and let us know what we're good at and what we need to do better.

Nathan Spencer

@sebastian_thunman Really cool. Strawberry is the best personal AI agent as of now, but you guys might have some stiff competition once Comet comes out.

Sebastian Thunman

@natespencerwx we'll have to show the world why we're better! 😈 Thanks for trying it out and thanks for the compliment!

Desmond

The research automation across hundreds of sites sounds revolutionary! Does the AI automatically group or prioritize tabs based on usage patterns, or does it rely on user-defined rules?

Sebastian Thunman

@desmond_ren1 thanks! Research works out of the box without custom instructions, but you can also specify how you want it to research - what pages to prioritize, what strategy to follow etc.

Charles Maddock

@desmond_ren1 As with most features inside the browser, you can simply teach it how you prefer to do something through prompting.

You can even record your screen to show a research assistant how to extract the data! No need to write long prompts.
Here's a video where I showcase that :)

This looks wild. Feels like what Chrome should have become by now. I’ve been building with AI a lot lately (currently working on Buildform, an AI form builder), and the browser is still where most of my time gets wasted, so this hits home.

Curious, does Strawberry support extensions or have plans to open that up?

Trying it out now. Rooting for you guys.

Arian Hanifi

@stanlyya Thanks! Yea I've been waiting for something to come from Chrome but in the end we had to take things into our own hands and build it ourselves.

Not currently. But we are working towards supporting the same extensions as Chrome does. Possibly even looking into supporting the old versions before Google killed all the adblockers.

Cool will check your product out!

Sebastian Thunman

@stanlyya I'm so happy this resonates with you, I couldn't agree more! We're working on extension support and will likely have it in the coming months. Thanks for trying it out, please share any feedback you have!

"Strawberry is an exceptional music player—its clean interface, powerful library management, and support for high-quality audio formats make it a standout choice for audiophiles and casual listeners alike."

Neel Patel

This looks way too exciting. Browsers do need revamp + AI superpowers. ARC is doing well, I'd love to see this one take off..

Good luck with the launch @sebastian_thunman @charles_maddock @coffecup25 @benjamin_astrand

Charles Maddock

Thanks! We all love Arc and it's our main browser, but since they are stopping development on it we thought, maybe we should just build our own? 😂

Sebastian Thunman

@neelptl2602 thanks Neel! Would love to hear your feedback if you decide to try it out :)

Neel Patel
@charles_maddock love it 🤌💪

I've been eagerly awaiting the public launch of Dia, but @Strawberry beat them to the punch!

After putting 🍓 through its paces, I'm sufficiently impressed. @sebastian_thunman & @charles_maddock have done a good job integrating conversational AI into a browser-like experience, making it possible to add tabs as context to your requests.

I also appreciate that they started by building Dendrite: "tools to build web AI agents that can authenticate, interact with and extract data from any website", suggesting that they've been on this journey for some time and decided to apply those learnings to a consumer product.

TBH, Strawberry reveals that there's still much plumbing to be done to make the web less hostile to [user] agents as it's becoming harder to tell the good bots from the bad ones.

Sebastian Thunman

@chrismessina thanks for the kind words, Chris. I really appreciate that you recognize our previous product and our love for agentic systems, we have believed in agents since the launch of GPT-3.5 and we are super proud to finally get this consumer product into the hands of people. It's a real honor that you agreed to be the Hunter of this launch 🍓🫡

Charles Maddock

@sebastian_thunman  @chrismessina Thanks so much for the kind words! We're already ahead of Dia, and we are just four cracked devs – imagine where we will be in 2-3 months!

Kshitij Mishra

This is called gold! keep it up guys!

Sebastian Thunman

@kshitij_mishra4 thanks! What are you most excited about?

Hugo Pochet

Looking great, will test it out now and let you know my thoughts! Thanks for this, and good luck with your launch!

Benjamin Åstrand

@hugo_pochet Thank YOU Hugo! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about Strawberry!

Sebastian Thunman

@hugo_pochet thanks Hugo, can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Islam Akramov
Launching soon!

This is the kind of browser upgrade we’ve all been waiting for. Researching at scale, writing in your own voice, meeting notes, and task automation—all built-in? That’s serious AI integration. Super curious to see how this evolves in pre-beta. Big potential here!

Benjamin Åstrand

@islam_akramov Love the excitement! Yup, those are just some of the features that we already have and planning to build so much more - looking forward to hearing your thoughts once you get the chance to try it out!!

Islam Akramov
Launching soon!

@benjamin_astrand @sebastian_thunman @coffecup25 , thanks a lot for quick response! Appreciate that! P.S. I am also starting my own AI product, would be glad if you could give me a feedback!

Sebastian Thunman

@islam_akramov thanks! Let us know what you think if you decide to try it out!

Arian Hanifi

@islam_akramov This is the way to become the 10x professional worker. An unfair advantage compared to people not using Strawberry in my slightly biased opinion.

Alex Hamben

Love this. Never doing grunt work again

Sebastian Thunman

@hambena thanks! What's your favorite feature?

Benjamin Åstrand

@hambena Thanks Alex! What is your least favorite daily task that you will hand over to Lora?

Justin Bao

This looks like a game-changer for productivity! A suggestion: consider adding a feature to integrate with popular note-taking apps like Notion or Evernote for seamless workflow transitions.

Benjamin Åstrand

@justin_bao Great suggestions! We actaully have an integration with notion already. Connect your notion account by simply asking your companion to connect to notion (or go to Settings>Integrations>click "Connect" under notion). Would love to hear your thoughts about this once you try it out!! Comment here or join our discord https://discord.gg/hjnBjWnb

Sebastian Thunman

@justin_bao thanks Justin! It's your lucky day, because we already have a Notion integration! Thanks for suggesting Evernote, we'll make sure to add it to the backlog 🫡

Fred Davis

This looks wild.

Benjamin Åstrand

@fred_davis5 Thanks Fred! Have you had the chance to try it out? Would love to hear what you think about it! comment here or join our discord community https://discord.gg/hjnBjWnb

Sebastian Thunman

@fred_davis5 thanks! Let us know what you think if you decide to take it for a spin!

Yuliann Yu

Do I have to download the client for this product?

William Scott

This is such a thoughtful and timely idea — finally a browser built around real-life workflows, not just speed or tab management 🙌

Love the vision of bringing “Cursor for the web” to non-tech users — it’s about time AI felt more personal and useful in the browser, where most people live and work. Especially excited about how Strawberry adapts to each person’s context over time. That’s where AI feels magical.

Just signed up and can’t wait to give it a spin. Huge kudos to the team for thinking beyond the typical productivity playbook! 🍓💻

Charles Maddock

@williamrobertscott Thanks William! Let us know how things go, still quite a scrappy pre-beta but theirs a lot of value if you look past the quirks 😊

Sebastian Thunman

@williamrobertscott thanks a lot William! Can't wait to hear your thoughts once you've tried it out :)

Benjamin Åstrand

@williamrobertscott Thanks William! We are also super excited about building out the personalization and memorization abilities in Strawberry. I think you'll love our autocomplete feature - perfect for people who write a lot of similar messages to people with small edit

Michael Vavilov

Oh, as a concept, this looks really cool. It'll be interesting to try it out.

Charles Maddock

@michael_vavilov Thanks! Let me know how it goes, hearing feedback on Strawberry is my favourite thing in the world 🌟

Sebastian Thunman

@michael_vavilov thanks! let us know what you think when you have :) Happy to answer any questions!

Matt McDonagh
Launching soon!

Sebastian is there a system prompt or way to give Strawberry my "big missions" so it knows what I building toward?

Great idea btw I look forward to trying this.

Sebastian Thunman

@matt__mcdonagh great question! Yes, you can go into your Companion Settings and give Lora custom instructions. You can also just ask her to memorize things and she will! The same goes for your other companions if you have any.

Here's how to open your companion settings: open sidebar > press the "more" menu (three bullets) > press "Companion settings"

@sebastian_thunman Awesome I just posted a short video of me completing the onboarding to X. I also linked directly to this page.

Good luck to you and your team! I have my first launch coming up on May 1rst I'd love to pick your brain in a couple days once you finish processing this bulk of sign-ups!

Here's the post on X :)

Sebastian Thunman

@matt__mcdonagh checked it out! Can't wait to see how you end up using it 🤩 I'd be happy to discuss your upcoming launch and share some insights 🫡

Arian Hanifi

@sebastian_thunman  @matt__mcdonagh Yooo appreciate that you took the time to make a video. Super useful feedback!

Vibor Cipan

Been following these guys for a quite some time now - from their early days and Dendrite agent and all the way to this. This team is on fire and they are building something practical, easy to understand and easy to use.

Honestly super proud to know some of them and excited to see where they take this forward. Strawberry rocks! Good luck guys and keep building!

Sebastian Thunman

@vibor_cipan wow thanks a lot for the kind words Vibor! We really appreciate your support on our journey 🥺

Arian Hanifi

@vibor_cipan Hey! Love what you're building with zencoder. It's been a long and rocky road but now we think we've found something really special. Happy to have your support.

Andy Berman
Congrats guys such a great product! Can’t wait to see where it goes.
Sebastian Thunman

@andrew_berman thanks Andy! Excited for what's to come :)

Jeff Shenk

Super cool! Excited to try this out - it could be just what I've been looking for recently for helping me complete a few tedious projects I've been procrastinating working on. I can see a lot of cool use cases.

However, I'm surprised no one has asked about security yet. Since Strawberry will be the "man in the middle" between me and Google, LinkedIn, etc. when logging in to my various accounts - how do I know my data is kept secure and that personal data is not shared, used for training, etc.?

Edit: I just tried to install the software on my Windows 11 PC and got a Windows Defender SmartScreen warning - it wouldn't let me install this "unrecognized" app. I've never seen this happen before when installing new software. It certainly doesn't help my security fears. Haha.

Sebastian Thunman

@jashenk thanks for bringing it up, this is obviously something really important that we're trying to be thoughtful about. Happy to have the opportunity to address it:

First of all, all your data is stored locally. All your chats, passwords, history, AI memories etc are saved in your browser. As with many other AI products, we use LLM provider APIs for several features. I'll have to refer you to each respective one of their policies, at a high-level, they typically save your chats for 30 days for security reasons and don't train their models on your data. You decide when you want to send page information to the LLM providers, as it only happens when you actually send a chat message to your AI companions.

We do have a smart memory feature that is turned off by default. If turned on, it looks at every page you visit, and saves a summary about that page so that you can find it later using natural language queries like "article about the latest Audi". That feature sends page information to LLM providers. Again, this is an optional feature, and we recommend making sure to turn it off before you visit websites that might contain sensitive data.

The intelligent writing assistant also only saves your writing history if smart memory is turned on. It never reads password fields.

We do save some data about your Strawberry account, but that has nothing to do with your browsing and is mainly used to manage your Strawberry subscription plan.

Regarding the Windows download, that is a known issue that we're working on! It's a standard warning for new software publishers and doesn't reflect the security of the actual application. We don't have a signed certificate yet for Windows, largely because the Windows version is still experimental. But we're aware that it might look scary and we're working on fixing it.

Happy to answer any more questions you have, related to this topic or any other!

Jeff Shenk

@sebastian_thunman Thanks for the detailed response! I figured the Windows warning was not much to worry about - just have to figure out how to get around it.

When you say, "passwords ... are saved in your browser", what exactly does that mean? How are they saved?

Sebastian Thunman

@jashenk our password manager prompts the user if they want to save passwords after authenticating on websites. If the user approves, the passwords will be encrypted locally and saved on your local file system. They never leave your computer. No website has access to them. Does that address your question? Let me know if I misunderstood!

Jeff Shenk

@sebastian_thunman Got it! Makes sense. Thanks.

Benjamin Bekken

Upvoted! Congratz with the launch guys 👏👏

Sebastian Thunman

@benjaminbekken thank you! I really appreciate your support 🍓

Isaak Fabien Sundeman

This is so cool, awesome job!
