Stoop is an app I have wanted for a long time, I'm subscribed to so many email newsletters, all bar a handful get lost in my inbox, Stoop will hopefully change all this and I can read more!
Kai Gradert
This is awesome. Too early to tell how it will hold up over time, but I will give it an honest effort. I subscribe to dozens of newsletters that are all organized by filters in Gmail. It will be interesting to see if using a dedicated app will improve my current experience.
Kai Gradert
@timraybould And no notifications šŸ‘
Juan Vaamonde
@kaigradert @timraybould Tried to do that but Gmail asks that I confirm my new forwarding email address? Which is the issue I encounter with many newsletters I try to sign up with Stoop. Loving the app in general though
Juan Vaamonde
@timraybould Thanks but Gmail is asking me for the verification code it sent to my stoop email, but there's no way for me to sign in to my stoop email and grab that code right?
Kai Gradert
@timraybould How do you handle ā€œconfirmation emailsā€? I just signed up to a few newsletters, but they all require an email confirmation. I assume you handle the confirmation? If so, when does doe a newsletter show up in the app? As soon as I subscribe? Or when the first newsletter shows up?
Kai Gradert
@timraybould Got it. I missed the Inbox entirely. At first glance it is confusing to see Newsletters in the Inbox and under ā€œSubscriptionsā€. Technically it makes sense, though. Could you scan the Inbox for ā€œConfirmationā€ emails, and then show them as ā€œghostedā€ entries under ā€œSubscriptionsā€?

Why would this app need below permissions on Android? - Photos/Media/Files - Device ID & call information @timraybould @aaronoleary
deepu
@aaronoleary @timraybould Thank you. It is weird if a library is asking such permissions šŸ˜Ÿ if that's true then Facebook is trying to haunt all of us even with their libraries.

I love this. I just downloaded the app, it's such a great idea and hopefully, now my emails will be emails and I can dedicate real time to read the newsletters I subscribe to.

Praise the Lord for this product, I've been looking for this product for years EDIT: So when do you guys start to make a browser version of this? It would be great to check it on desktop, because I start my day by reading digests, and this would be very helpful

Stoop is exactly what I've been waiting for. This is the (my) future of news briefings.

Pros:

Easily aggregates newsletters & recommends new ones. I love how easy it is to subscribe to new ones! The autofill email feature šŸ‘ŒšŸ¾

Cons:

Onboarding could be better.

Tom Stern
Great app! @timraybould you guys feature a lot of premium subscriptions, but im trying to figure out how I can sign into my paid accounts given the email address is different? Would i have to change the email address?
Zach Johnston
Downloaded this yesterday and have been loving the app so far. Has a lot of potential to remove distractions from my inbox and make me excited to sign up for newsletters again. A huge plus is knowing that I can quickly unsubscribe from anything without going through a mail app > browser > back to mail app workflow. A small design nit: the pressed state on cards is a bit distracting. Maybe make them more subtle or ignore taps if Iā€™m scrolling.
Zach Johnston
Yeah, the cards in the discover tab. Just a lot of visual noise when you tap on things. Other than that, love the aesthetic.

Any plans to launch a web version? Because that would be killer.

Pros:

Amazing app. A product that make you think "Of course! Why didn't anyone think of this earlier?". Props to the team!

Cons:

Newsletter's original "Subscribe" banner still pop-up even if you already subscribed via Stoop.

Wow, this is awesome! A very fresh idea that is extremely applicable to a wide range of individuals. This makes the experience of reading newsletters more engaging and attractive. A new inbox just for newsletters - now I can read in peace!
Noah Mittman
Loving it. If only there was a way to automate the Gmail filter creation. This has improved my inbox experience (in both places!) tremendously.
Stephen O'Grady
Stoop just changed my daily email game for the better. Anything that adjusts my personal workflow needs to bring value right out of the gate and Stoop does just that. šŸ‘šŸ‘ Well done!

Sensacional esse app!! Finalmente vou centralizar minhas newsletter dentro de um app, ao invƩs de me perder elas em meu email, parabƩns pela idƩia!

In love with this product. Would love to be able to delete those ā€œconfirm subscriptionā€ emails and I feel a little confused between the My Stoop and Subscriptions tabs. Maybe its better just to have one feed with half page cards of the news letters and an inbox icon on the top right for managing any incoming non-newsletter content emails (like confirm subscription and thank you for subscribing etc). But all in all this is the best product Iā€™ve come across in a long time and Iā€™ve been searching for so long to find that perfect newsletter reader.
Khaled Aly
@timraybould One more idea is to have a "wish list" button for paid newsletters that we want to subscribe to but can't afford to atm. Best of luck!
Yashu Mittal
Newsletter send via email often mixed up, but now I got a seperate app for it. Just hoping that stoop doesn't set any barrier between the content creator and read via paid plans.

?makers I wonder if there is a web app version for Stoop? Nowadays I don't commute much (hence no reading on the go) and I prefer not to do any in-depth reading on my phone. It'll be awesome if there is!
Jarvis Luong

I was dreaming about a produc that can do exactly like this and now it is here. I would love to see the web version of this.

Pros:

A dedicate place for all my following newsletter, a masked email address for the ones that I will annoying and cannot unsubcribe.

Cons:

Sometimes I donā€™t like how the app say ā€œCannot connectā€ when refreshing new emails :(

Jeremy Meyers
Any chance of being able to sort or group newsletters with tags/categories? (all my music production newsletters together, all my shopping newsletters together, etc)
GreenIsTheColorāļø
I have come to rely on Stoop for all of my newsletters. Love the ability to easily unsubscribe. I wish there were a support or help blog for issues.
Nathan
This is great, Iā€™ll be a power user! It would be incredible if you could view old newsletters, otherwise thereā€™s limited content to grab users before the first newsletter arrives (just like a podcast app having old podcasts). Understandably difficult, maybe itā€™ll come in time as you become the default home of newsletters. Great work!
