I have tried quite many investing trackers but just haven't found one to my use cases. I've value simplicity, flexibility and the ability to see all the necessary information of my investments at just one glance. Therefore I used Excel to create a spreadsheet for my investments. However it just ended up being extremely frustrating to update and maintain and it was never possible just to quickly glance it to see the status of my investments. Also it wasn't that versatile in terms of analytics. In most platforms I've tried the portfolios are assumed to be investment accounts, therefore I cannot for example choose a lot from which I actually sold a stock in case I have the same stock in multiple accounts. In my mind I like to think stock portfolios as a structure for my investments. For example grouping my investments by sector or country despite the broker from where the stocks were purchased. In Stockle we aimed to emphasise this idea. Therefore the investments do not have to be categorised into portfolios by account but instead it can be whatever idea the investor decides. In addition the portfolios can be viewed separately or in combined manner in the overview page. This is also one feature that I have found to be missing in quite many platforms. Lastly the main focus has also been a modern UI, it should benefit both a beginner and a bit more advanced investor. The logic behind the platform is quite easy to understand as most of the functionalities can be accessed from single command window. What do you guys think of the core features and ideas behind Stockle?
