January: Say Hello to Mastodon 🐘
Great news for Mastodon users! We're excited to announce our third integration: share your updates on Mastodon alongside X (Twitter) and BlueSky - all from your menu bar. Simple and easy!
New Platform: Added Mastodon, matching all the same features as X and BlueSky
Quick Access: Left-click to start writing, right-click for menu options - super simple! 🎥 watch video
Live Updates: Watch your post's journey in real-time right on the post button - 🎥 watch video
Redesigned Settings: Manage your accounts and preferences in one place - 👀 see before vs after
Sound Effects: Added some fun sounds when you open the composer and successfully post (don't worry, you can turn them off in settings)
February: Small things, big impact
We've been listening and making things better. No flashy stuff, just solid improvements where it matters most.
Quote your best posts: Want to repost your best hits? Now you can search through them and pick which one performed best.
🎯 Bug fixes and accessibility
BlueSky hashtags now work exactly as they should. No more guessing.
Twitter alt text is working properly - because accessibility isn't optional.
That annoying update error that popped up when your internet was down? Gone.
The main app context menu is now available through ctrl+click and option+click, not only secondary ones.
March: Multiple accounts, thread tools, and smarter posting
You said multiple accounts? Yes, finally.
One of the most requested features is here. You can now connect multiple accounts for each platform. Add your personal and work accounts, label them with custom nicknames, and set defaults for each platform.
This isn't just a nice-to-have. It's foundational for our upcoming scheduling feature, which many of you have requested.
With multiple accounts, you get:
Independent connection flows for each account
Custom nicknames to easily identify them
Default account settings per platform
Platform-specific publishing (post to all your X accounts at once, for example)
Options to publish to just your default accounts or all active accounts
Smarter posting options
Sometimes you want to post the same thing everywhere. Other times, you don't.
Now you can choose to post to just one platform at a time. The composer stays open, so you can tweak your message for each network and send when ready.
Account selection for one-shot posting (choose which account to use when posting to a specific platform)
A cancel button during publishing (change your mind? just click again)
Copy Thread option that copies all posts in a thread to your clipboard with separators
Start Over option that resets the composer to its initial state when you want a clean slate
Auto-split for long content
Got a lot to say? We've got you covered.
When you paste text longer than 280 characters into a post, Statuz now automatically splits it into multiple posts in a thread, preserving word boundaries when possible.
Don't want this feature? No problem - you can toggle it on/off in settings.
Link previews that don't suck
When you share a link, it should look good. Now it does.
We've added Twitter/X-style link previews that make your posts more engaging and give your audience a better idea of what they're clicking on.
Plus, we fixed some annoying things related to BlueSky posts: Now they format correctly with proper line breaks, mentions, and long links.
And that's all for now. April and May have been busier, but we are hands down implementing the next big thing in Statuz, the post scheduler. Stay tuned!
